We have stayed twice in the past six months and will likely stay again before the year is through. This is the best home base for the most relaxing weekend away. The location is ideal, steps away from Riva restaurant (arguably the best restaurant in Gananoque), Gananoque Brewing Company for a pint, Rapunzel salon for some pampering, and the river for a relaxing walk. The rooms are comfortable and fit with the overall theme. We stayed in the Garden Room and love the deep soaker tub with jets for unwinding after a full day, and the comfortable seating and ample storage in the room without it feeling cluttered. The biggest standout at Chrysler House has to be the breakfast. We’ve had a different option each time we stayed and have never been disappointed, only pleasantly surprised with the creativity, presentation, and of course the taste!
The overall superior hospitality and quick response to a minor inconvenience really show the owners’ pride and commitment to their new venture. Looking forward to staying again!

My friend and I did a short road trip to Gananoque (early Sept.) just to get away for some nice R&R. We picked the Chrysler House and I am SO glad we did, we loved it! Stayed in the Painter's Suite which was great - separate living room area, comfy bed, small private and well appointed bathroom. The whole place is beautiful and spotless. Nathalie was so welcoming and always available. After a nice stroll through the village and by the water (location is great as everything is a couple minutes walk), we enjoyed the late afternoon sun on the back porch where we enjoyed our own bottle of rose and ordered their small charcuterie board which was very well presented and had two cheeses, two meats, grainy mustard, red pepper jelly, crostinis, fruits...perfect! We later went for dinner at Riva next door which we loved and enjoyed the patio musical entertainment. We loved that for the breakfast we had the option of dining room, room service or patio as well as the time we preferred. We chose the patio - and when we got outside, the table was already all set up with orange juice waiting for us. The options for breakfast were also great, tough to choose! My friend got the french toast and I got the avocado toast with chorizo jam and salsa...both delicious and again, the care in presentation was flawless. We felt pampered and came back happy and rested. It was my first time in Gananoque but not the last - its a perfect spot for a little get away and the Chrysler House was perfect. Keep up the good work, we will definitely be recommending your place :)

Perfect location for visiting Gananoque - almost everything is accessible by foot or bicycle from this location. A quiet and relaxing inn. We stayed in the Heritage Room - decor is in a style true to the original period of the home. Wonderful, welcoming hosts. Delicious breakfasts. We ordered the Charcuterie from the Snacks and Shareables menu on our first evening - enjoyed it on the back patio.

This place is cozy, comfy, clean, and welcoming. My husband, daughter and I loved it! Especially the breakfast experience. It truly was an experience! The food was delicious, and delightfully presented. The dining room atmosphere was very welcoming - smooth jazz on the record player, lovely decor, lots of natural light coming in - perfection!

What a great choice for two friends to meet up, explore town and have a fun and comfortable evening. Nathalie, our host, was lovely and welcoming, and had earlier ironed out a booking error I had made with total grace and civility. I am a fan of old buildings, the history and elegance of them shines through, and this gorgeous 200 year old home is a shining example. There are at least two comfortable sitting areas, but our room, the Heritage, was roomy enough for us to socialize with ease. I had French toast with fresh strawberries and lemon curd. So good!! My friend enjoyed the eggs Benny. A coffee/tea centre is set up in the house front room. This B and B is right beside the Riva restaurant, where we had a great supper. It’s also very convenient to walk downtown and to the waterfront. Parking is on the property. Highly recommend!!

We had a beautiful overnight to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Nathalie did all she possibly could to make us feel welcome and important as her guests. I was able to arrange Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries in our room for our arrival. The elegantly appointed home was so beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in the main floor suite “The Garden Room.” We had a separate entrance and access to the morning coffee bar and use of a mini fridge for our leftover dinner. The breakfast we ordered from Patrick, the co-host and resident chef was spectacular. He even shared the recipe with me!! We highly recommend this home as a retreat and escape. Even in Gananoque’s “off season” we enjoyed the history and beauty of this idyllic Ontario town, especially the welcome from Nathalie and Patrick.

We actually happened upon this place by accident as our original booking didn’t accept kids. We were so lucky to be referred to this place. The owners and hosts are so nice and accommodating! The rooms are enchanting, the house takes you back to the 1800s in the most comfortable and homey way. So clean, bright windows, beautiful backyard. Every room is different and special. Gorgeous art everywhere. A high quality breakfast and walkable to everything! Beach and boat rides down the street, kids parks and an old train nearby. Public piano. Great coffee at Laverne’s. Can’t express in words how great and accommodating the hosts are. Our son loved every second. Great city, we’ll be back for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chrysler House! We were warmly greeted, taken on a tour of the facilities, and welcomed to our suite. The accommodations are very comfortable, and each room is unique.
Within walking distance we found a wide variety of shops, a microbrewery and terrific restaurants.
The breakfast options included something for everyone. The presentation was beautiful, and quite frankly it was the best breakfast I think I've ever had.

Absolutely brilliant. Nathalie and Patrick are so authentic and genuinely friendly and caring, it’s truly a lost art. We felt so comfortable and happy it was like staying with friends. Pat’s cooking is outstanding. The property is beautiful and the garden is serene.

Steps away from the ferry tour of the Thousand Islands and right beside our favourite restaurant Riva!
Very relaxing stay and I’m certain we will be coming back!

It was our first stay at the Chrysler B & B and we were not impressed. Beautiful old home, clean with an average bed, but there were no amenities and NO breakfast. I'm not sure how you can run a B&B without breakfast. We saw no one, it was self check in and check out. The price, $260 CDN, with no breakfast. It was certainly not worth the money. When my wife emailed the owner, they indicated it was the going rate for the area. This is not true as we stay at another B&B about 10min away, it was absolutely beautiful with a wonderful breakfast for $100 less. I gave it a 2 as it was a beautiful home, but that was about it.

Hi Edgar, As previously stated in my emails with Joy, I apologize that you had a negative experience staying at our inn. We are not a bed and breakfast. We stopped serving breakfast in April of this year and are now a simply a small, independent inn (that does not serve food, simply provides coffee/tea 24 hours a day). This fact is made explicitly clear to our guests prior to booking. It is highlighted on our website, booking page, and stated again in our confirmation email just to insure that this information has not been missed. We also clearly state what amenities our inn does and does not offer. We do not in any way misrepresent ourselves online, it would not benefit us to do so. For these reasons, we have had no previous issues with guests being unaware of what is offered when staying with us. Our pricing is also made very clear when booking. It is also made clear on our website and again in the confirmation email that we are currently operating using a self check-in/out system. All these things are transparent when choosing to stay with us. As per my previous emails again, my mention of comparable pricing is accurate. For comparable rooms in downtown Gananoque, the price range inn late September is generally $225-325 a night prior to taxes. The bnb that you stayed at the night after staying at Chrysler House was not within downtown Gananoque. It is in a location that requires you to drive to anything you wish to do, outside of being at the inn. At Chrysler House, we are in a very desirable area of Gananoque, only a few minutes’ walk to almost all restaurants and attractions. When you stay with us, you can park your car when you arrive and only get back in it to leave for home again, which many of our guests take advantage of. Again, pricing for comparable rooms (king bed, four piece en-suite washroom with walk-in shower and jet bathtub, walkout patio) in our area you will find were at a minimum $225-325 prior to taxes at the time of your stay. The rate of your room was $220 prior to taxes. In addition, when your wife emailed me initially describing your negative experience our inn, I offered you a 20% discount as a part of my apology for your disappointment. This brought your room rate to $179 for the night prior to taxes. I do wish you would have mentioned this is your write up above. I am glad that you thought the inn was beautiful and clean. I do wish you would have reached out to me during your stay, I would have loved to speak to you about this in person and seen if there was something I could do to make your time more enjoyable with us. Perhaps in the future it would be beneficial to read information provided on an establishment prior to booking so that we are able to avoid this negative experience for all of us. I do not know what would be expected from our inn that is not mentioned on our site, booking page etc. Thank you.
