Reservation could only be made through the hotel's website before the seasonal re-opening on June 15. No issues here. We were greeted very politely on arrival. Room was upgraded to first floor (instead of ground floor; those were not ready yet I gathered). Located right beside the communal living room, the room was of standard size, with a good queen bed, t.v., small fridge, phone. The bathroom was also of standard size and offered the usual toiletries and a few extras along with good water pressure and quick hot water! Everything was spotless. From the balcony, we had a fantastic view on the sea, the Rocher Percé and Bonaventure Island and it proved to be a great place to watch the gannets feeding and some whales in the distance. Wifi worked fine but one could use the computer (old model but did the job) in the communal living room if needed. Breakfast was not included but there was a restaurant on site (didn't try it, sorry). Note that there are some restaurants and a grocery store just a couple of minutes away on foot. Overall, a nice stay in a well-situated hotel with a great view and free parking!

Only weird note: when we got the room, I opened the fridge to put our food in it but it wasn't working. So I went to the reception to report it. I was told that it was up to the client to start the fridge or not. The hotel was not keeping them running at all times and unplugs them between clients. To my mind, this was missing the point of having a fridge in a room, i.e. a cold place to put food & beverages in upon arrival (and not have to wait 3-4 hours for it to cool). I ended up getting ice from the ice machine and filling up a couple containers as temporary ice packs until the fridge was cold enough. Never had this happened to me in all the hotels I've been to. First time for everything I guess.

Excellent location near the water and in town with a fabulous view of the rock from our balcony. The suite is lovely and very clean. You can listen to the waves rolling in from your room. Fridge with freezer is available. However, the plethora of signs about not staining/discoloring towels, putting anything wet on furniture etc (or charges will ensue) is off-putting. You feel like you're in your grandmother's house and need to sit prim and proper all day and not touch anything. Did not like the scented product used in the room. Note that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Fine on cooler days when there is a nice breeze from the water but on hot days, the room is warm. Daily room service is not provided nor is breakfast included despite paying a premium for the room. Good wifi service. EV chargers are available on-site.

The rooms are ok and have great views of the rocher. It is located right by the water and close to the center of the action. Some days we had a hard time finding parking as it was always full.
We had to switch room as the one we wanted was not available 3 nights. We were upstairs the first night and although it had 2 small beds instead of the queen bed we wanted we preferred it to the one on the ground floor were we stayed 2 nights. The one on the groung floor was noisy, smelled musty and was not private . people walked in front of the room back and forth so we had to close the curtains. We did not get to enjoy the view as much because of this.
One thing we found disapointing was the fact that if you wanted a couple of extra coffee pods we were charged 2$ each pod...really. ?.we spent over 1200.00 at this hotel and got extra charged! Also we did not get pods for our last morning. Left us with a sad impression overall of our stay

I don’t understand the high reviews. Does it have a great view? Yes. Is it clean, yes
Does it have air conditioning ? NO. No ac. A desk fan in closet to use. Temperature too warm to sleep comfortably Definitely uncomfortable all night
Stairs to upper floors? No. Carry your luggage
Enough parking for guests? NO, restaurant guests can take up spaces 6-9 pm
Room reserved? Not if you’re arriving after 5, you have to call day of or it’s given away.
Room service as one would assume from the restaurant menu? NO. I select a hotel based on being to eat from onsite restaurant. But was given a page showing only 6 choices, cod cakes, shrimp roll, lobster roll $24, chicken fajitas $22, lobster salad $26 and smoked salmon bagel $26! Yes a smoked salmon bagel more than lobster roll.
Mentioned on website? NO
No options for vegetarians for 6 options offered so after long drive, we couldn’t eat in.
$300 additional holding charge? YES. In case one breaks or damages the average looking nothing special furniture I was told.
Hallways smell perfumey from fresheners and warm air. Outdated lamps on Grecian column tables.
Small bathroom yes
Mini fridge not turned on so has to wait to store food. Someone mentioned 2020. Guess no one cares. No microwave
Spent incredible night for far less in Matane right on beach with ac, amazing room service, pools, gym, balcony. Even fridge turned on.parking.
Room here $416 cad a night including tax
To be making that much a night but no ac and above issues for guests comfort is wrong.
Everyone mentions these issues but the view of the rock isn’t worth overlooking them

DONT GO WITH YOUR DOG. Stayed one night cost $320.00 which included $30.00 for the night for a dog. They never said anything at check out but charged an extra $100.00 for a one night stay because of dog hair. The place was too small not allowed to live with all their restrictions once you are in your room. They charged the $100.00 without telling me and would not have known if I had not checked my bill and contacted them to find out about the extra cost.

WE booked a standard room with ocean view Queen bed and were upgraded to King bed, convenient on 2nd floor (main floor). Service was very good. Parking was available at the door. Boardwalk and main street were pleasant, despite poor weather.

Evening dining in resto was good but not great. Service & ambiance was excellent, starters were very good but there was no wow element. Scallops in pastry was a mistake.

Hotel provides a great view but it needs renovation. I was staying a second night and I was tranfering room, they threw away my MacBook Pro laptop charger while cleaning the room. The hotel provided no follow up, rebate or excuses what so ever. I would not recommand this hotel.

I throughly enjoyed staying at this hotel! We were greeted nicely. The rooms were very clean and modern. It looked like they have pride and take good care of the hotel. Our room was located on the second floor with a nice size balcony and a beautiful view of Perce Rock. For safety reasons, there was no daily housekeeping but housekeeping always made sure we had what we needed at a very timely manner and with a smile. I would highly recommend!

On our driving trip around the Gaspe, we chose to stay at this hotel because of its proximity to the Perce Rock. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all questions.
Make sure to book the boat trip out to the Rock. Be waiting in line at the boat dock really early to get a seat on the upper/top deck for the best views.

We stayed two nights at the Normandie on a recent tour of the Gaspesie (two couples). Friendly staff, clean, well appointed rooms with comfortable beds. The rooms and bathroom were are a little small, but the view makes up for this! We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food and service were fabulous.
