These condos are so nice, and the hot tub was an amazing touch! So much space for a large group and very reasonably priced for being ski in/ski out or very close to it. Our condo was in a location that it was easier to walk to the lift, but the skiers and boarders were able to ski right to the back of our condo. I recommend it!

The resort is under Covid protocol but this will not affect your enjoyment of the acres of slopes at this fantastic mountain .I particularly enjoyed the roughly 1.5 miles vertical on groomed terrain on the front side of the mountain (great for those that need a gentler pace)but treed skiing and moguls are definitely there for the taking.
A high speed quad chair ensures that you will get to your next run in good time.
You can pick up lunch and dinner at the Buckhorn & Main restaurant. There is an online procedure for most ticket purchases but my half day pass was purchased same day at their ticket office. Recommended!

I would have liked to give this place a 5 star but there was a few issues. The garage door opener didn’t work, it did get fixed 3 days in after we called. Also, we only found out one week prior that the pool would be closed, big bummer. Finally, the hot tub maintenance company came to change out the water 2 days into our stay, drained it then didn’t return 😳. Luckily, all these issues got handled promptly once we reached the manager. Pros, great space, great deck with magnificent views and unit had all amenities. We will likely return.

We were a group of 4 mature adults staying at this resort for a golf getaway. The condo itself was perfect for what we needed it for. It is well stocked with dishes, cutlery etc, but be prepared to bring your own spices (including salt and pepper). There is no aluminum foil, plastic wrap or zip lock bags, so pack your own if you plan to do any cooking. It was great to have a BBQ on the deck. The unit we stayed in was clean and the beds were comfy, although the duvets were lumpy and need to be replaced. There was only one hair dryer in the unit and it did not work well.

Now for the hot tub... I was happy to sign the agreement at the beginning of our stay saying if the hot tub was misused in any way or had to be drained at the end of our stay, there would be an additional $200 charge. You must properly shower before entering the hot tub... which we all did. We are all home owners and respected this property like it was our own. I received an email 15 minutes after we left the condo saying we "misused" the hot tub. They sent a picture of the water being a bit "cloudy" and bubbles in the tub so they immediately charged my credit card $210 saying it needed to be drained. We followed all of the hot tub rules to a 'T' and were still charged. There was nothing more we could've done to prevent it. It may be possible the detergent in our swim suits caused the cloudiness/bubbles, but how can that be of anyone's fault? There was absolutely no misuse of the hot tub. I emailed the general manager and followed up with phone calls. Ten days later I received a return email saying I signed the agreement and the charges would not be reversed. There was no return phone call or communication on their part other than the email saying they had to drain the tub and the charges would not be reversed.

This was a perfect location and property for our golf trip, but we will never return because of the hot tub issue. If you don't want extra charges at the end of your stay, do NOT to use the hot tub or consider another location!

Just spent a week with the family and had a great time. Well appointed condos. Good value for cost. Close to ski hill. Heated pool and hottub. Each unit also has a hot tub and BBQ. Maintenance team does a good job looking after pool area. Great for families or couples. Some units have garages which is great for storing ski gear.

My family booked a weekend getaway four seven of us to the Northstar Mountain Village Resort via a group – on coupon. The dwelling and amenities were amazing; this place would be great for a sky vacation as there is a lift that comes close to the development (Buildings on the south side of the development back directly onto the bunny hill). Each unit came with a hot tub and enough bedding for 12 people (We stayed in unit h4 and it had a bunk bed, two queen sized beds, and three couches with hide-a-beds. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed here during the August long weekend 2012 with our 5 week old daughter and our family visiting from the UK.
We were in apartment F4 and it was very spacious with a large open plan living area. The balcony was large too, with a full size natural gas BBQ, patio set and full size hot tub, overlooking the Kootenay Rockies - perfect!
One en-suite main bedroom with double bed and an additional bedroom with two singles with a bathroom outside the door.
All amenities including in-suite washer & dryer.
Ski storage (if needed in winter) but no garage with apartment F4 - others did have them.
Great looking outdoor pool and hot tub area in the centre of the complex (but we didn't use it).
Montana's restaurant is a 5 min walk down the slope.
Downtown Kimberley is a 5-10 minute drive down the hill.

We experienced some vehicle trouble and the staff were helpful in getting us back on the road and were great when we had to extend our stay at the last minute due to the latter.

The place is beautiful. Loved the condo but if you are up past 11 P.M. and they hear you, you pay $56 and then they kick you out with no refund... Not a great place for anyone who actually wants to stay up past 11 P.M. All we were doing is talking and they charged us the next morning. No warning...
Management is saying one thing and doing another. Not impressed.

Am currently staying at this great resort. Units are very nicely decorated, have all the amenities, beds are super comfy, kitchen is perfect. So many windows with amazing views. Our two small kids feel right at home (which is half the battle!). They had two university groups here for a ski weekend and we didn't hear them at all, likely because they have a really strict noise policy after 11pm. Perfect! Windows were quite drafty, but that is only minor complaint.

We were so impressed by Northstar mountain village. The condos are huge, we felt so lucky to stay at such a beautiful place. Awesome ski in/ ski out access to lifts. Easy to get T-Bar home in the afternoon or for lunch. Can't wait to come back to this 'fairy-tale' place. Highly recommend.

Can you ski to the lift?
Answer from unknown
Kimberley, Canada
Hi Stephen The ski hill closes early April, and the golf courses open up in May generally. The off season is a great time to do some exploring around the area, so long as you are aware that not a lot of attractions are open at this time. Personally, I much prefer hiking the area before the crowds hit. This year, the weather was very warm and resulted in an early start to summer! The parks are a few hours drive, so as mentioned by other users, it would limit your use if you were to do a day trip from Kimberley.
