We were on the main floor. Room was great , bed comfy, furnishings great. Could have better pillows. Only complaint(s) was that air conditioning did not function very well. Granted it was hot during our stay but others in the complex said their room was like a meat locker while ours was very warm (hot). Not sure about the upper floors but our patio glass and windows could definitely use a washing. Front desk staff was great.

Had a wonderful stay at Mountain Spirit Resort. Lovely to have the hot tub after a day of skiing. Convenient free shuttle service into town was an extra benefit! Thanks to front desk staff Carolyn, Margaret and Bonnie for great customer service.

Very well equipped units next to the ski lifts. Also underground parking is a must in Canadian winters. Units have a wonderful open plan to them, loved the bathtub next to the bedroom. At home we have one in the bedroom. Wonderful ski locker room, but the locks were a worry. Terry O'Grady

We stayed at Mountain Spirit for one night in earlt August which was originally booked as two. The Condo was far less than we expected at this price point. From the worn out furniture (sofa so poor that it was impossible to sit on), no end table in the living room, tiny 24" t.v. and an air conditioner that ran all night in 12 degree temperatures and sounded like a jet landing. The ensuite has a large shower which could be nice, if someone though about putting a shelf or something in it to set down soap, shampoo etc. There is a floor to set things on I guess. The hotel has no ice machines but you can make your own with the one tray in the fridge if you want to wait for it to freeze, or you can take the mini-ice bucket to the front desk where they will fill it for you with two month old ice (once they manage to break it up into usable pieces) Be advised too that there is no staff on duty from 8:00 pm to 9:00 am (just telephone contact with a security contractor). Checking out in the morning is difficult if you leave early which we did. I email their front dest to advise them that we had left, and followed up with a phone call at 11:00 on our original day of departure. Good thing I did; email hadn's been checked yet. Kimberley is a cute little town, but seems to be in a different era. It appears that from Monday to Wednesday, there is no need to go out for dinner. Most places are open limited hours and limited days. We had a tough time finding a place for dinner other than a couple of fast food places in gas stations & a dive bar or two. GOOD LUCK!!

The room was absolutely gorgeous and we really enjoyed the large soaker tub, but for what you pay the hotel itself is lacking in amenities. No breakfast, no room cleaning or room service, you have to purchase laundry detergent from the desk if you want to use the machines in your room, and you are expected to do your own dishes and carry out your own garbage when you leave or you will receive an additional cleaning fee. The staff was all very friendly, but we felt we weren't receiving a lot of communication. Our air conditioning wasn't working while we were there, so we asked at the front if there was a trick to turning it on and were told that the repair guys were coming the next day (so they knew it was not working, but didn't let us know when we checked in, I guess). The air conditioning was never fixed during our stay, but we did come back to our room to find maintenance men in the suite, without being told they were coming. We thought it would be for the A/C unit, but instead they were changing the locks on the door. Again, no one told us they were coming, nor that we would need new keys. We would have arrived back and been locked out without any warning. The desk closes relatively early so if we had come back late we would have been in a real pickle. I hope they had a contingency plan for such cases... The room itself was great and the bed was comfortable (although the TV was very small), but I did get the sense that the rooms had been built fairly recently and maybe a bit cheaply. The door dragged on the floor and got stuck open, the carpet was loose in many places, the fridge made some really horrible growling noises that makes me suspect that the compressor might be about to fail (but it worked fine for our visit, at least), the walls in the bathroom were not square, and the light switches were in really bizarre locations that made us hunt around a bit and learn the layout so we could find them in the dark, haha. It felt like a luxury room, but I am not sure it ranks highly on my experiences with hotels.

Very nice location and large/spacious suite. Large balcony with four chairs and one table. Quiet evenings and lots of deer and wildlife to see. Ample free and secure parking available. Unfortunately, there were many deficiencies which we were unhappy with. Due to Covid, there were no chairs or lounges at the pool. However the hotels next-door had ample seating available.Pool towels provided were no bigger than a postage stamp. The bathroom shower was substantial in size but there was no soap dispenser, or a place to store your accessories, hang your washcloth, etc. The bathroom countertop and toilet were very low to the ground. For tall people, this was problematic. Limited places to hang towels, bathing suits etc. The living room had a hide a bed/couch, which was so old that It should’ve been replaced years ago. Very uncomfortable to sit on while watching a very small flat screen TV.

Being right on the ski hill, the location was great. While the layout of the 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our family of 3, we found it lacked comforts and convenience one would expect, such as working scissors and can opener and a knife sharp enough to cut bread. We were told we had to vacate the condo in the middle of the day, so they could do repairs to the stair tread,, which was broken before we arrived. The front desk ran out of robes, so we had to run through the lobby dripping wet in our swim wear. Our bathroom sink was slow to drain, so we had to use the kitchen sink when brushing our teeth and washing up. The lock on the main door often stuck to the point of being locked in a few times. The couch and chair were so uncomfortable we ended up bringing in the lawn chairs from the balcony to sit on. The bar-height stools are not conducive to the counter-height table. The front desk messed up our pool reservation, so we didn’t get the pool time that we stood in line for 20 minutes to reserve. Beds were very comfortable, but pillows were hard. All in all we enjoyed the resort, but the condo furniture and kitchen implements could definitely use some upgrading.

Arrived to do some skiing because we have never been to this area for skiing. I have been wanting to stay at this place for a very long time. The resort is lovely. On the newer/modern side. The room was lovely and just as you would expect. Clean, well taken care of and well stocked. There are only two bad things about this stay: First - The resort is a little off the to side of the ski in/out. Made it a little annoying when it came to going back and forth from the room to the hill. Second, a staff worker named Carolyn was working during one of our nights there. Her rude attitude, tone and mannerisms made me very stressed and uncomfortable. I’m not really concerned with whether you want to go home early or if you’re having a bad day. I do however have an issue when that rude mannerism comes to affect guests stay. Rude comments towards the BBQ, or coming not once, but twice, to bark at guests about the count down for hot tub time and then stomping dramatically on the poolside while we were still trying to enjoy the last 15 mins of our evening after skiing is not acceptable behaviour to me. On a side note: Margarite and Patsy are absolutely lovely and show the true meaning of what customer service and hospitality should look like. Thank you so much ladies.

We went to this hotel having now expectations as it was a gifted to us for Christmas. Usually we would prefer to stay at an older type lodge, however this was a nice unexpected treat. It seems very new and is very modern. The whole family enjoyed this condo room in this great town. Everything was very clean and COVID procedures were very evidently followed through the hotel.

This resort is very welcoming under the circumstances. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The tv is very small but at least you have two. The toilet is in a very small room and the beautiful stand alone tub puts out yellow water. The pool is very nice to have but is very small when kids are in there and you have 1 hr so everyone gets a chance to get in. The hot tub is very spacious. There are no chairs around the pool or around the grounds(you can’t sit out and enjoy the view, we had to walk over to another building to sit in the sun ). There is a restaurant in the next building that we didn’t know about until this evening, we did eat at the golf course that wasn’t bad but the stone..... restaurant wasn’t good at all. Over all it was a nice place to stay but 200 a night??
