Beautiful B&B - upstairs room clean and welcoming! Our host Joe was more than happy to chat and direct us to a walk and good restaurants. A great walk thru town around the Peninsula on the Van Horne Trail to Pagan Point Preserve and Salt Marsh Road with great views of Passamaquoddy Bay, along with a squeaking porcupine and a... More

This was our first stop on a two week vacation through Nova Scotia. This home is spotless, beautifully renovated and Rose-Anne made us feel very welcome on arriving even though we were a little late. Joe made delicious eggs benedict for breakfast and Rose-Anne's muffins were outstanding! It was great visiting with Joe during breakfast and this is why we... More

We stayed here during a short visit to New Brunswick. Would have loved to stay longer as the hospitality was so welcoming. It is within walking distance to the town center and the Kingsbrae Gardens. The B&B is full of charm. Our room was not equipped with an ensuite, but our private bathroom was just steps away and did not... More

My wife and I stayed here and it was great. Close to everything. Joe the owner was friendly and helpful, the room was great with a very comfortable bed and the breakfast was 3 courses. Plenty of parking too. Highly recommend the Montague Rose.

A wonderful place to stay for our last 2 nights in New Brunswick! Roseanne and Joe were such gracious and friendly hosts. Upon arrival Roseanne gave us a tour of the facilities and showed us to our room which was the Pinner Room. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with a queen bed and a sitting area with... More

We have traveled extensively and always try to stay in B&Bs when possible. When checking TA reviews, we were delighted that Montague Rose was #1 and (drum roll) pet friendly. Annie was welcomed by Joe and Rose Anne. We felt right at home immediately. We stayed twice - going to and coming from Nova Scotia. We stayed in the Ballyhaunis... More

The experience begins when you call to make a reservation. Speaking to the proprietor makes you want to stay at this B&B. The visit does not disappoint. The rooms are well-appointed and the breakfast is a sit-down meal that is made from scratch. Good humor and good cheer permeate the atmosphere. The location is ideal for strolling around downtown St.... More

The Montague Rose has plenty of old fashioned charm with modern touches like a jet tub. The B&B is an easy two-block walk to the waterfront shops and restaurants or the Kingsbrae Gardens. If you're not sure what to do in St. Andrew's, Joe, the owner, can offer plenty of suggestions. Joe is also the chef, and went out of... More

I booked this B&B for 3 nights, weeks before we started our east coast vacation and now that we are back home it is without a doubt our favorite place that we stayed in the 2 weeks we were out there. Arriving there, we were met by Joe, the friendly and welcoming owner of this B&B, and were given the... More
