Zainab and Ben are the most delightful hosts! Putting their hearts into their newly acquired business (a year old now) they have done beautiful renovations to the rooms and are quickly adding decks, patio and planning more gardens for the property. Their attention to detail is outstanding. Their friendliness is infectious, exactly what a traveler appreciates in a holiday spot. The comfortable bedrooms with en suites are beautifully renovated and the main floor sitting room and breakfast room are inviting. Breakfast is substantial - eggs, cheese, croissant, orange juice, coffee, yogurt and fruit. Inclusion of gifts items for sale by local artisans is quickly making them a welcome part of their chosen community. A delightful experience from arrival to departure!

My mother, sister and I visited this beautiful B&B for High Tea on Sunday Aug 8th. We were welcomed by Zainub and escorted to the tea room which was tastefully decorated in modern and vintage decor. We were invited to choose from a variety of antique tea cups to use during the tea experience. Ben provided a history on “High Tea” which was followed by the delivery of a beautiful tiered stand full of delicious offerings including homemade clotted cream! The entire experience from start to finish was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

The Montague Rose dates from 1859 and has been lovingly restored into a lovely and inviting B & B by hosts Zainub and Ben. We only stayed one relaxing evening and in the midst of Covid our hosts found the time to have breakfast - a delightful breakfast at that! - with us the next morning. The Montague Rose also hosts an afternoon proper English tea with scones, etc., something we simply didn't have the time to pursue. St. Andrews is a beautiful idyllic seaside town just inside the Canadian/US border on Passamaquoddy Bay - and offers many dining and quality shopping opportunities.

Rose Ann and Joe are two of the nicest people and extremely helpful hosts. Rose Ann helped me plan an amazing weekend and made sure we had reservations to the restaurants we wanted to go to. They made the best breakfasts I've ever had at a B&B too. The location is perfect - a quick walk to downtown, and the Kingsbrae garden. The bed and room were very comfortable and you really feel right at home staying here.

We stayed two nights in September and really like this B&B. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and spent time with their guests over breakfast. The breakfast was delicious! High tea was also available here, and although we didn’t book it for this visit, it’s something we’d do next time. The room was lovely, very comfortable. The location was very close to the waterfront. We enjoyed getting more familiar with this lovely community.

The only issue we had with this house was accessibility. Rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. For anyone with mobility issues, this may not be the best choice.

We had a very quick overnight stay in mid September on our way back from PEI.
We called at the last moment looking for a room for us and our dog.
They were very accommodating to us, we stayed in the last room available, the montage room, which was spacious and very comfortable. There was a small fridge and a luring coffee maker in our room with bottled water and a plate of snacks also available.
In the main room downstairs of the inn was also a microwave, if needed.
Check in was simple and over the phone, though we did meet Mike.
Saint Andrew’s is a lovely town, a wonderful main st and lots of other things to see and do.
We only spent the night here but will hopefully comeback to spend a few more nights in the future and would definitely recommend staying here.

Truly the best accommodation we could’ve imagined for our wedding. We rented the entire home for 2 nights, bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready in, it was perfect. Zainub and Ben are the best host! The Tea Room was a perfect space for all of the bridesmaids to get ready in, and the groomsmen’s had lots of space to use the other shared area, patio, and to play some lawn games. They went above and beyond all of our expectations as hosts and made for a very enjoyable wedding weekend. All of the rooms are gorgeous, lots of space, and very unique! Would highly recommend tk anyone for a weekend away, wedding/event space.

My girlfriend and I love it here. It’s clean, in a great spot, and the hosts are so friendly.

I’ve stayed in places that are definitely higher on the price scale, and I can safely say that the experience I have here is better than most, if not all of them.

10/10 recommend for a weekend getaway!

In a last minute and serendipitous change of plans we found ourselves booking an overnight stay at the Montague Rose Inn, and we were so glad we did! Ben and Zainub were welcoming and ready for us with a comfortable room, great local recommendations, an outdoor seating area complete with a visit from some local does and their fawns, and a delicious breakfast in the tea room. Romantic and homey, we stayed in the Romeo room which had a comfortable bed, wireless charger, fridge, coffee maker and private bath. It was a memorable stay and we will be back!

Zainub and Ben take great pride in what they do and it shows in their authentic interactions and excellent service. You don’t meet humans like these everyday!
They offer quality, comfort and positivity to all elements in the experience. The high tea is a highlight. Thank you for a wonderful time and for your company Zainub and Ben!
