Do yourself a favor, go to the Noranda instead. Well worth a few bucks more. At least, their bathroom sinks are not cracked, the shower head covers are where they should be. I originally booked at the Deville, advertised as available through expedia, Then I received call a few days before arrival and convinced me to stay at the Best Western hotel instead because the Deville was closed. Why then did they allow me to book at the Deville when they knew it was closed?? Not right. Called Expedia after I checked in, and they explained what they did is not legal, and unprofessional. They were not happy. Expedia got me out of that s... hole and went to the Noranda. Thank you Expedia!

Very quiet. Slept well although one of the beds having an aging sag in the middle. I think at least that mattress should be replaced, room 265, bed closest to the window. Every thing you should need in the room, 4 Kcups for coffee, tea. Sports tv channels which not all hotels offer. I would recommend for the normal Joe Blow.

We went for a girls bachelorette weekend. There were 9 of us in total just going for a good time for the evening. The hotel itself is neat and clean and in a great downtown location with proximity to restaurants and bars. They did enforce the quiet hallway policy with hotel staff asking us to keep quiet even at 4:00 p.m. We happened to end up eating at Pizze (great food and lots of ambiance). While waiting for a table we went to the other side of the restaurant/bar to Le Groove and talked to Adam who operated the hotel and restaurant and bar. He was very friendly, interested in why we were visiting and brought us a bottle of Prosecco. He also said that he would ask the hotel to place other guests in rooms further away from us if possible to avoid any noise conflicts. Adam handed out several business cards and told us to call if we needed anything. It was very nice of him and appreciated. It really was great customer service. I would stay there again. It was also attached to the Best Western, which seemed nice as well. Thanks Adam!!

The hotel is well situated in the middle of downtown. You are literally a block away from bars and restaurants. The rooms need a little love. The decor is a bit dated. Large parking, some parts are covered.

My family and I booked a room at this hotel because we were attending a hockey tournament in town, we spent two nights here. The hotel pictures featured online look very nice and modern, after checking in to our room I noticed the hotel is actually very dated- the bathroom fixtures are quite old. There was no fan in the washroom. The rooms are quite small. 4 of us stayed in one room and we found it to be very crowded. Our team booked all of our rooms in a block so we could be near one another. The kids were playing in the hallways and staff continued to walk up and down the hall, children were given dirty looks and felt quite uncomfortable- this was in the evening and staff were already complaining about noise levels. Later into the evening parents were visiting in the hall and staff came and asked them to be quiet, then asked them to move to the lobby- this was much later at night and is understandable but the children were playing way before 11 and were still treated with disrespect. After checking out Sunday I noticed my credit card was still on hold- I had checked out hours later. I called the hotel to double check what was going on and they said they needed to make sure I did not break anything in the room and it needed to be cleaned. Normally rooms are cleaned that afternoon so why my card was on hold at 7pm was confusing to me. I checked 2 days later and it was still on hold, made another call- the card was taken off hold a day later. At $160 a night you would think the customer service and rooms would be of much higher quality. We will never book at this hotel again and do not recommend it to any one travelling with children.

Thank you for your comments. Feedback from our customers enables us to continue to improve our customer service. Our staff is trained to assure that every guest has a comfortable and restful stay at our hotel. Members of our staff will respond to any questions or concerns that a guest may have, in this case, intervening by knocking on your door to let you know other guests had made complaints about the noise coming from your room. Our clerk kindly invited you to continue your evening in the comfort of our lounge in the lobby. Hockey tournaments are very exciting for the players as well as the parents. It is a very busy and fun-filled weekend. Tournaments, such as the one you participated in, require policies to assure tranquility for all our clients. Rest assured that modifications have been made to the Hockey Tournament policies. As for our staff, they did their job accordingly in order to maintain a tranquil environment for its guests. Best regards, Alain Couchesne Owner

The reason for my stay at this particular location was the fact that it was less than 5 minutes from bus stand, 7 minutes to the St. Joseph's Cathedral and walking distance to the hospital which I did every day due to a family member being in the hospital. The breakfast was very nourishing and I had the liberty of eating what I could due to allergy problems. How many opportunities due you have to be able to sit and talk with the owner of a hotel. This is my third visit at Deville and would recommend it without any hesitation. When they say "Centre Ville" they mean it. Thank you for a restful opportunity during a crisis situation. Reception was very understanding when I asked for an extra night's accommodation. The room facilities were clean and bright.

We arrived at this hotel and were greeted by friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Off the lobby is a fireplace and common area, where patrons can sit and relax. The view is open and you look out to the street. To the right are the vending machines of snacks, sodas and spirits/beer (nice!). Our room was clean and had 2 comfortable queen beds. Internet was available but we did not use it too much. The TV's are modern with a satellite receiver. There were ample channels of English and French to choose from, but we weren't there to just watch TV. Parking is not an issue at this hotel as it has a couple of secured parking lots. You gain access using a special hotel card. Complimentary breakfast is available in the breakfast room. There are omelets, sausage, toast, yogurt, creton (excellent on toast with mustard), fruit, coffee and juices. Not all items are replenished regularly, so best to go early. There is always staff walking around and they are looking to please. If you see something out, let them know and they will help. The hotel is about 2 blocks away from the local shopping mall, and in the other direction, the downtown shopping core. Very convenient. A short walk will take you to the Dave Keon Centre if you want to go watch the Huskies play. We found the hotel to have very nice staff, clean rooms, warm atmosphere and convenient location. There is no scenic view from the room windows, but it's nothing different than staying at other downtown hotels anywhere else. Compared to a hotel we stayed at a couple of years ago that was considerably further from the downtown, we would stay here again.

My family and I recently booked a room at this hotel. We were part of a hockey tournement. We were all placed mostly on the second floor. Upon arrival I noticed a paper on the room table explaining rules of the hotel. I was quite taken back as for the price you pay for your room...certain rules were just too much. Rooms were clean...fair size...did not have an extra blanket or pillow...but was stated on a paper that there was. Outside view was horrible. Bed too hard. When it came to the evening, we kept being bothered by hotel staff to quiet down as ppl were complaining innthere first floor. Might I add we had our door closed and it was only four of us and we were sitting on our bed having drinks and talking. Staff kept knocking at our door and calling the room to lower tv and such. This was not called for...we pay lots of money to stay at your hotel and we couldnt even enjoy ourselves. Half the hockey team were also bothered with the staff. Why put a hockey team on the second floor if u know they'll be some noise. Its common sense. Complimentary breakfast was cold. Would not recommend this hotel for hockey tournement or with family with kids. Will never reserve from this hotel again.

The Deville Centre Hotelier is conveniently located in downtown Rouyn-Noranda, but despite the central location, the on-site parking wasn't an issue and was free. I stayed a night to attend a Huskies QMJHL game, and the arena is close enough that you can walk to the Arena Iamgold if you want. Our room was large and very clean, with a large TV, microwave, and fridge. I found the bed to be super comfy. The included breakfast was decent enough. There was even a booze vending machine in the lobby, something you would never see in my home province of Ontario. All employees were friendly and helpful. A tad expensive, but there aren't really any cheap options in Rouyn-Noranda.
