This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were very good. My Husband loved the heated snowmobile storage. The hotel failed exceptionally with our dinner delivery as we ordered it at 6:30 PM cancelled it at 8:30 PM but it was actually delivered at 11:30 PM. When the Unexpected knock came on the door, I jumped out of bed and when I opened the Door the server looked at me like I had 10 heads because he didn’t understand why I didn’t want my dinner at 11:30 at night. It was Valentines weekend so I understand it was very busy and there was no hard feelings but I was appalled that there was Not even an apology about the 5 hour dinner delivery! Crackers is what we had for dinner. If they were that busy they should have told us when we called the dining room or walked down to pick up the menu at 630pm.

We stayed one night in a 2-queen bedroom on our way to the Gaspe peninsula. The room was comfortable and clean, and it was good to have a microwave and a mini-fridge where we could put the food from our cooler. The hotel had a pool with a water slide, which seemed like fun for families but we were just there to sleep. We had dinner elsewhere but had breakfast here which was convenient but not particularly memorable - there are many very good breakfast restaurants in the province of Quebec; the Universel’s isn’t one of them There isn’t much in the area for a pleasant walk. It’s far from the St. Lawrence River and from the centre of town. But it’s a good overnight hotel

Great hotel - rooms are great and they allow dogs in certain rooms which is fantastic. We ordered a food from the hotel restaurant called “Rialto” and it was awful. My husband ordered the club sandwich which we could hardly eat (unsure how you can mess that up so madly) and I ordered the penne marinara which was seriously over cooked pasta with too much sauce from a jar just pored on top of it. Food was disgusting I’m afraid to say. Stay at the hotel was great but don’t eat there!

Clean convenient location , we didn’t use the pool, booked 2 different rooms, both very good, service at reception was very good, however employees were not wearing masks behind the screen. We picked up our dinner at a local restaurant ad ate in the room, microwave and fridge were helpful.

We stayed only 1 night in this wonderful hotel. The place was over our expectations for the price that we paid. We paid less than a 3* and this hotel is a real 4* ! The rooms are specious, beds are awesome, the restaurants and bar are opened until late. They have an indoor pool that we didn’t try this time but for sure next time. Room service available and we heard is great. I think we found our couple getaway away from home. Checkout fast and everyone respects all the rules.
