Very basic but beautiful location on the st Lawrence. Very close together and no trees. Still good ambience. Across from Christmas store😃 and beautiful trails. Will go back on our way back to alberta. Good point between Quebec and next stop up gaspe peninsula

We stopped there for a couple of nights in July 2019 while on our way to the east coast. Friendly people, friendly ambience and pet friendly. The sites are a bit cramped, but they have full RV services (electric, water and sewer) which is always nice. Lots to do nearby, especially at the river mouth just a short walk away. Restaurants, and convenience stores also within walking distance. We had no trouble getting service in English pretty much everywhere, which isn't always a given in Quebec. As noted in other reviews, you have to burn their composite logs for a fire, which sucked, but this requirement is apparantly a municipal bylaw, and not a campgroundspecific rule. A little more privacy would have been nice, but this place deserves the full 4 star rating I gave it. We would return to this place..

We stayed at this campground for 2 separate nights at the beginning and the end of our trip to New Brunswick. Pets allowed was the main reason we chose this campground and we had a very friendly welcome, which is not a given in Quebec. The common areas were clean and the two tent sites we stayed at had ok privacy and were quiet. Our favorite site was 7B, but 9A and B are also good. Note that you can't burn normal firewood, but you have to buy their compressed eco friendly wood, which they deliver to your campsite. The viewing platform is a nice feature and the beach is a 5minute walk down hill from the site. Dogs are allowed on the beach as well. Overall we had two good stays and we will return.

I’m not sure how to rate this campground. It was very clean, the staff were very friendly, the sites were nice and although crowded, there was sufficient trees to give the illusion of some privacy. The location is convenient and it’s close to many amenities. I guess the problem was our timing. We just wanted a place to stay the night and get some rest on a long drive to Nova Scotia and we happened to arrive during a “Christmas in July” weekend for the seasonal campers. Our site was next to the communal area. We listened to drunk people shouting along to terrible karaoke songs at top volume on an amplified sound system non stop from the time we arrived at 5 pm until late into the night. The speakers were aimed at our site. With our AC fan on and earplugs in it still resonated through our camper. The staff told me it would be over by 9 pm but it is now 10 and still going strong. If the website that I booked on had information regarding this event we would have stayed somewhere else as we just wanted an overnight rest. The parking lot at Walmart would have been much much quieter and free. If your looking for a good time and a nice campground then I would recommend This place. However if your looking for a one night rest stop during a long road trip then try another place or at least inquire about special events catering to the seasonal campers and ignoring the needs of the others.

Well, this site had some trees but it’s a rather crowded campground. The river side campsites looked not too bad but those were all full. It looks like there are a decent amount of seasonal campers there. Wifi didn’t work and the front desk couldn’t help. Bathrooms reasonable. We did see beluga whales from the lookout platform, so that was awesome!
