Can't say enough about this place. They have taken an old motel and fully renovated the rooms, with laminate flooring, comfy beds and little kitchenettes. ( never seen such well outfitted kitchens in a motel type situation ever!!)
It still is a motel, but a great value and very clean. And the owners are extremely kind and friendly. We hope to return as our stay was cut short by illness.

We stayed for one night mid February. The room was very clean but the first thing that came to mind was" the 80's are calling and want there decor back" The bedspreads were hideous and just replacing them would go a long way to update the place. We had a kitchenette which had the old fridge, stove and sink unit all in one. The fridge had an out of order sign and was replaced by a mini fridge in the room. There is a small ocean view if you go outside. If you are happy with very basic accommodation I would recommend the Ocean Crest but if you like a few luxuries it's not the place for you.

This motel offers clean, comfortable, quiet rooms at an ideal location across from the ocean. The rooms were as good as they looked in the pictures. We appreciated being able to use a small seating area outside. The motel is set back enough from the highway you don't hear traffic.

You like a quiet place to sleep and right across from the beach. This is ur place to go. But this place needs work it hasn’t changed since the 90’s u would think after 30 years this place would get a renovation as ever other hotel has. Still has wall paper u would see at my grandparents house, old lights with a pile of dust in them. Washroom has been changed out but they still use the same old toilet seat that’s faded and ceiling is peeling. The bathroom Sink all the cocking coming off. The outside sign on hotel looks like is styrofoam peeling off. Concrete big chunks off the steps. Needs new paint on the roof and siding that’s faded from the sun. The garden needs cleaning up and shrubs all trimmed. It’s all simple stuff that Would be cost effective. Places like this can make way more money if redone I know I would pay more. The check in and out is excellent. Took a few photos to show what I saw.

Owners were really friendly and helpful. Followed their recommendations for places to visit. Room was recently refurbished to a high standard. 2 good restaurants/bars a very short walk away. Significantly cheaper than the motel across the road

My friend and I stayed 2 nights at the Qualicum Beach Motel. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was across the street from the ocean. The Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at the Ocean Crest Motel for 2 nights in March 2015. When we first entered the room it had a strange odour, but after a little while of leaving the doors and windows open it was okay. I think they used a strong cleaning solution(?) The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We rented one with a small kitchenette and t was very well equipped. Right across the road from the beach as well. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the strange odour.

Nice, clean room with 2 queen beds. There was cross ventilation, so we didn't need to use the AC at night. There was a sweet spray smell in the room which was a bit strong, but otherwise everything was fine.

This motel is pretty non- descript. Rooms are clean, but older and the furnishings are dated. TV was small; wifi worked well; towels and bedding were clean. Room was well priced for a one-night stay and checkout was at noon which gave me extra time for my morning routine before packing up. No view of the ocean unless you stand in the parking lot so the name is a bit of a misnomer. It is across the street from the ocean however and there is good ocean-side walking trails right there. I checked in late and the staff were pleasant when I did so. I would recommend this place for a quick overnight stay but there are better places for longer, more meaningful visits (like a romantic getaway or family holiday).
