Imagine lounging about with your loved one on a comfy sofa, gazing out a large sliding door toward a perfect ocean view - filled with endless sea, towering coastal mountains in the distance, and frolicking seas lions and gulls filling the silence with music... That was our daily entertainment from our lovely little cottage (#3) by the sea for a week over this past Christmas. Add to this, the genuinely warm attention of Maureen coming by most days to make sure all was well and wonderful and you can easily appreciate why we absolutely loved our stay at this clean and tidy and perfectly situated vintage resort by the sea and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

There is nothing like staying in a place with the ocean at your doorstep. Cute small rustic cabins with all the amenities you need and making you feel welcome as soon as you open the door. Our cabin was exceptionally clean and very cozy with the electric fireplace to add some winter warmth to the experience. Strolling along the beach in the morning with a hot cup of coffee and soaking in the sea air is the perfect start for any day. I can't wait to come back!

A wonderful stay where we met interesting people and had a great visit with good friends. Easy kitchen and bbq to cook with, loved coffee while watching the beach in the morning and sunsets. Comfortable sleep and enough storage for our things. Would come back again and again

Quite simply, THE BEST! We've been going to Seaview for 7 years and have never had a disappointment. The management is friendly and extremely welcoming and you are always treated like family. It is quiet and peaceful and the views from the beach are breath taking. All the accommodations are clean and cozy and you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. You are just minutes from the prettiest town in Canada with great shopping and a delicious variety of restaurants. All this and it is extremely affordable!

This is PARADISE, nice and quiet right on the ocean. The cabins are older but very clean and comfortable. Each unit has their own deck with a barbecue The sunrises and sunsets were stunning and Maureen's hospitality was number 1.

I actually submitted a review of this property last year but for some reason it vanished into the ether. In any case, I am prompted to write another one because of the other review I just saw. Seaview Beach Resort was wonderful. We went there last year when my husband had to attend a funeral in a nearby town and we thought we'd take a short trip with our infant son. We found it quite difficult to find a beach side cottage rental that would take a dog, but we got lucky with this place. We had a small two room cabin. It was extremely clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It is family owned and operated and Melody was kind and gracious and made us feel welcome. We had a BBQ on the deck and two very comfy Adirondack chairs. We tied up our dog so she could enjoy the bunnies safely and we went for walks on the rocky shore as a family. The best was being able to smell and hear the ocean as we drifted off to sleep!

Our family rented cabin #3 for a week in August. We were two adults and three children. The cabin was roomy enough for everyone. The cabin was not anything fancy, but extremely comfortable. THE VIEW, it is priceless. You wake up in the morning and are greeted by a stunning sunrise and the ocean. The sunsets are as stunning...
My parents rented a duplex (located behind the cabins) at the same time as we did. I believe it was duplex #6. Duplex #6 was cheaper and a bit more modern. The major difference is that the duplexes are not beach/ocean front. That being said, the duplex "tenants" have full access to the yard and beach.
Each cabin and duplex has its own BBQ and a beautiful log type of picnic table. Bocce balls and ladder golf games are available for everyone to use. The is also a communal firepit steps to the beach.
While taking a walk close to the cabin/duplex, you can pick black berries as they are literally everywhere. You can see hundreds of bunnies early mornings and evenings. There is a resort close by (walking distance) with a convenience store, park, pool and waterslides. There are also restaurants at a walking distance. Fresh seafoods are available at French Creek Pier (Island Hwy between midway between Qualicum and Parksville). You have a Quality Foods grocery store in the small downtowm core, as well as several local restaurants. If you're a coffee snob, you can get some good coffee at Bailey's in downtowm. On Saturdays and Wednesdays, there is a Farmers Market at a walking distance from Seaview Beach Resort (~45 minutes walk).
There are many day trips to be taken if you have a vehicle. Tofino is 2.5 hours away. Victoria 1.5 hour away. Comox 30 minutes away. Campbell River 1 hour away. Coombs is a unique sort of hippie town that is worth visiting. Cathedral Grove is a must see with its 800 year old trees. There is too much to list here, but I have no doubt that you will find what you are looking for.
I have nothing bad to say about Seaview Beach Resort and Qualicum. It has seriously blown my expectations away. Great moments were cherished and great memories were created. Maureen (site Manager) and Mike (resort owner) were very kind and not constantly "in the way."
This place is a hidden gem. My older parents had fun, my wife and I truly enjoyed and the kids had a blast. And this to me is priceless.
Do yourself a favor and book this place for a week, you won't regret.
See you again soon Seaview Beach Resort and a thanks Maureen!

It's not fancy, but it is right on the beach, on a quiet road that ends in a bird sanctuary. The cabins are tiny, spotless, and have everything you really need. We loved that they take well behaved dogs. They also have wifi which turned out great since it was the first time I could use my Star Walker Ap since the sky there is unpolluted by city light.

Probably because this is one of the BEST places on the island! I didn't indicate when I had been there because I've been there 10 years now. As one of our cabin mates two years ago observed, "this place is magical." Indeed it is! Melody is a warm, caring manager, and the guests are great. It is small, secluded, and a true gift to families. I'm not sure I should even be writing this review. Those who love it know where it is, and want to continue to go there. Maybe too much publicity is bad, but it kills me not to see a good review of it on a site that seems to indicate it will tell me about it.
