Suite Amour is a "natural choice" for your next getaway. Comfort * Privacy * Tranquility. Whether it’s a romantic weekend for two or an island retreat or a girls weekend, your time here will be made "special" for you! Our hobby farm consists of an array of animals. Emmy and little Mira our Quarter horse and our mini horse are always on the lookout for a carrot and a pat. We have an abundance of wildlife that live around our farm; our resident deer had her fawn on our property last year. Waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee on the privacy of your own deck listening to all the birds and occasionally catching a glimpse of the local deer and her babes is truly magical. This year she has twins and I seen them for the first time romping through a field of daisies. Crazy lucky I feel to live here and enjoy these moments. Both cottages are now fully equipped with kitchenettes so you may have options to cook a light meal at home or for a special occasion please ask and I am happy to offer breakfast or late afternoon cheese plate served to you out in your hideaway.

My husband and I decided we needed a nice quiet Christmas all to ourselves, so we searched and found Suite Amour Hobby Farm on line and went to visit the place before we booked it for our Christmas holiday.
Judy our host, was extremely welcoming and helpful! She goes out of her way for her clients!
We loved the little cabin we stayed in. It was furnished beautifully and very clean and comfortable. The modern kitchenette had all of the amenities that we needed, and the new 'quiet' electric heater kept us toasty warm!
The thing we loved the most was the peacefulness of this location. We will visit again!

My husband Mike and I (Noreen) love the country, we love peace and quiet, and we love a comfortable, clean cottage. And guess what, here at Suite Amour, we got it all. Yup! Not to mention that Judy (the owner) and her husband Mark were simply amazing people. As we entered the cottage, our jaws dropped to the floor. This little cabin was spectacular. Something you would see in a magazine. It was filled with lots of love, special care, and attention to every little detail. Judy was always there for us for whatever we needed. Not to mention her special homemade breakfasts...who does that...wow! What a great way to start our day. On the last day, Judy even joined us for coffee and a little chit-chat. She is such a pleasure to be around. The peace and quiet, and the smell of nice fresh air, make this place in the country, out of this world and leaves you wanting to go back.....soon!!! Thanks so much Judy.
P.S. Mike really enjoyed his talks with Mark.

We stayed in one of Judy's cabins for 2 weeks and had a beautiful time. We just loved all the trees and quiet and the horses in the back paddock. It was so relaxing. The cottage is small but doable. It was a small compromise. Judy was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

We booked the cottage at Suite Amour Hobby Farm to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The afternoon of our arrival in Parksville – Qualicum though, we received a call from the owner about being behind in cleaning the cottage and needing more time. We agreed to delay our arrival for another couple of hours, until between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. When we got to the property around 5:20 pm we were greeted with the cottage still not being ready to occupy. Time continued to pass (it is a nice field but loses novelty as one keeps staring at it for close to an hour), until around 6:30 pm when the owner mentioned not everything was finished, but we could enter the cottage. Later that evening the owner returned with some missing items; we later discovered other things were gone like the guest book which had, for example, Wi-Fi codes (we sent a text that night, no response). What started out as a day of excitement was now an evening of unpacking, frustration, and lost time. The next day we did some local tours, and, on our return, it was raining, so we figured it could be a good night to watch a movie as the interior is best described as “snug”. We texted the owner about the Netflix service. We were directed to the owners own Netflix account, evident with the personal profiles; and later encountered a “too many are using this account, try back later” block. So, movies were out, as was the Wi-Fi service. In the end, disappointments kept building up; and while we had paid $800 which the owner kept in full (even after that first night, with her mentioning more than once a discount), we left early, going to a local resort to salvage our anniversary celebration. Best decision!

This is a lovely cottage in the country with views of horses, etc. It is very cozy with all the necessary amenities, and Judy is an excellent host. She kindly recommended several excellent restaurants in the area, and helped us find a place to fix our flat tire. We highly recommend this place!

Recently stayed for 2 nights at Suite Amour and really enjoyed the peaceful setting and cozy cottage. Judy was a fantastic hostess - very attentive to our needs, served up homemade scones/muffins/fruit parfaits for breakfast, happily took us to the stables to see the horses on the property, and even had a cheese platter waiting upon our arrival as she knew that we had travelled a long way. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very clean. There are great amenities on the property such as a fire pit and a hammock! The location was a bit hard to find, but it was well worth the effort!

I've loved all of my stays at Suite Amour. Our stay in a Private guest cottage with mini-kitchenette lets us prep & cook as little or as much as we want. Sit outside on a private deck & enjoy a glass of wine and watch the horses. Comfortable queen bed with great bedding. Private, 4 piece bathroom with spa soaps. Great location. Close to Coombs, Parksville, Cathedral Grove. Great hosts who are very helpful and accommodating.

My husband and I made a short trip out to the island to check out some campgrounds to possibly park our trailer over the winter. Lovely quiet surroundings with lots of trees with only two cottages plus the host's residence. Kitchen is small but well appointed. Nice little patio where we ate most of our meals. Judy is a gracious and friendly host. Any time we asked her a question that she didn't know the answer to she came bustling back within 5 minutes with twice as much information as we needed! We elected to not get the breakfast option as we tend to be early risers, but one day she gave us some fresh baked scones anyways and they were delicious. Free wifi was decent. Highly recommend. :D

Off the beaten-track was lovely! We stayed in a 1-room cottage that was very comfortable. Although 1 website referred to this venue as a B&B, there is no complementary breakfast. However, each cottage has a kitchenette, which allowed us to prepare our own breakfasts and suppers. A BBQ is also available for use.
Our bed was quite soft (not our preference) and did slope to the centre.
Judy, our hostess, was very welcoming and most gracious!

This location was wonderful as we could easily make day-trips (e.g. Tofino, Parkesville, etc) from there.

The accommodations here are perfect if you want a peaceful and private get away. Absolutely lovely cabin with a perfect kitchenette, very comfy bed, and we even got the chance to meet the animals on her farm. Judy went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful and we definitely plan to return again one day!
