So my husband is working a shutdown in Lloyd Minister. I arrived at this motel and went to check in and the owner(male) says to me that the booking is for 2. I confirm that and he asks me where the second person is. I tell him my husband is still at work and will be arriving in a bit. He very rudely tells me he won’t check me in till my husband gets here cause he wants both our ID’s. I say to him “really?” And he replies “really!” So I’m like ok and went out to sit in my car and wait for my husband to show up. Next thing I know his wife comes out to my car and says, “can I help you?” I say, “ya, I’m waiting for my husband to get here so I can check in!” She starts to go off on me saying that they have the right to know everyone staying in their motel and if I don’t like their policy then I can leave! So I said fine! I will go somewhere else! Next thing I know, they have called the company I booked through and are trying to charge me for the room! They are rude and just scammers! Stay FAR away from this motel!…
they only discount the returning guests. they treat employees like crap, they dont pay for what the hours they work for, they go through so many managers to hard to keep count, the owners do lie to people just to get them to work for them. and they over work their employees and dont care be prepared to the next managers that work there, the wife wont trust u with anything. . the front desk manager lies through his teeth. dont believe anything that come out of his mouth. the food there is old, they freeze the milk thats out dated, they also freeze the jam and makes the jam to hard to spread. (gross) the eggs are used for 3 days or more then they make fresh ones, basically nothing fresh there for breakfast.oh and they use a different name to post ads.
I came here yesterday before midnight n the girl at front desk smelled like alcohol u could smell it when u walked in n u could really smell it when u got close to her but the room was clean n the bed was really comfortable
Got a bit of a discount as I asked for best price. I did shop around looking for best value. Room was clean, warm and had laminate floor. Bed was as comfortable as the lady at the front counter claimed. Beds had white duvets and 4 pillows each. Would stay here again next time we are through. A continental breakfast was included. They did pretty good with room renovations. Friendly counter staff. Bathroom had nice tile and modern sink but found it funny that they did all that work and left old tub in.
I have stayed here a couple times service is fast and friendly. Place is clean the price was average and they also have a free breakfast. They open very early for breakfast so you can get a good start in the morning.
Where do I begin, first off we had to move rooms 3 times and the rooms only slightly got better. There were stains on the sheets, towels and pillows I slept in my clothes on top of the sheets. Someone urinated out side out room, people calling at all hours looking for someone else, the door knob was be jiggled all night ( barely slept ) did not feel safe at all and to boot woke up to cigarette ash all over the hood of our vehicle. This is the worst place i have ever stayed and I will never go back I would rather sleep in my car than ever go there again. The only reason we stayed was they would not refund our money and had no choice.
Very polite front desk clerk. Rooms have new floors and sheets. Could use new toilets and bathtubs. Toilet didn't work in our first room so we had to change rooms. No issues doing that. Continental breakfast is nothing special. Basics. I would only stay for one night and no more.
My husband and I drove across Canada and stayed here for one night for $79.95 + tax. The outside was pretty worn out and grungy which is to be expected there with all the oil rig workers in the area. The room itself was dirty with black greasy hand prints all over the bathroom door, but our bed was clean and surprisingly it was also quiet but I'd probably stay somewhere else next time I think.
Stayed there on business in July of 2014. Staff upon arrival not professional at all. Lobby smelt kind of weird. Some shady people hanging around outside. I had no choice no other hotels available. Room dirty. Linen not the cleanest and burn holes. Continental breakfast lol a joke muffins and cold cereal. Coffee tasted like it was a week old. Next time I will sleep in my car before I stay there.
We attended the Lloydminster Heavy Oil show this September and had no choice but to stay at this motel as there were no rooms available in the city. (On another note, I don't know why Lloydminster has such a large event if the city cannot support the influx of people). When we first entered the lobby to check in the lady at the front desk told us that we were going to have to wait and it would be awhile because she needed to deal with another gentleman first. This poor man's room had been given to someone else and they were trying to figure out if they could fit him somewhere. He ended up having to take a smoking room, which he did not want. Needless to say this was NOT a good first impression. When we finally got into our room it was absolutely disgusting. The room made your skin crawl, nothing was clean. We found a razor blade package and garbage in the bathroom. You had to move the television cable line out of the way so you could actually close the door. We were so grossed out but had to stay for the trade show. We ended up going to Walmart and buying our own sheets, bedding and towels. We used this each night and packed it up with us during the days and took it with us, because we didn't even want to leave it in the room. Housekeeping actually left us a note requesting that we did not remove their bedding until it was "sheet change day" which is Wednesdays....I guess this means that the sheets get changed once a week here. There were people loitering around the motel at all hours and empty liquor bottles everywhere you looked. Absolutely horrible, would never go back.…
