Detailed Reviews
A special spot with warm, friendly, helpful hosts in a delightful, quiet town with restaurants serving high quality, delicious food! The Alpenhaus room has a cottage feel. It was very clean and comfortable with a perfect view of the river below. The weather was very warm and we were offered fans and ice to make us more comfortable. The Petit Train du Nord path is literally across the street! I'll would stay here again.

Lovely property on the banks of a rushing river, delightful to hear through your open windows! Great location, walkable to all restaurants in town and the bike path literally across the street! Our space, the Alpenhaus, had the rustic atmosphere and charm of a Bavarian chalet, complete with unique architectural elements (yes, some low beams) and hand painted doors/accents that contributed to that theme. Kitchen was great, everything we needed. Living/sitting area very comfortable with good light and views and sounds of the river! Loved the balcony off the bedroom. Bed very comfortable. Great stay!!

The Alphenhaus studio apartment was wonderful with the relaxing sounds of the falls in the background. It was a clean, roomy one bedroom apartment with a great location. We could walk to Val David and the regional park. We enjoyed our stay and Josee wonderful hospitality

What a romantic, lovely B&B. Setting is fantastic and easy to get to if you're cycling the P'tite Train du Nord. Rooms have many lovely touches, are comfortable, and clean. Breakfast was delicious, delightfully served, and included many local ingredients. Sitting areas outdoors and in were well cared for and stocked with things to do, teas to drink, etc. WIFI is available. Would return in a heartbeat.

Stayed at La Maison de Baviere with spouse and friends while we cycled the Ptit Train du Nord trail.
The proprietors cater to cyclists, can recommend any number of great restaurants in the village, and are marvelous hosts.
The rooms are small, with private bathrooms and overlook the homes lovely gardens and the adjacent river.
The breakfast which was included was of the highest quality, nutritious and delicious.
I highly recommend this location and will definitely be making a special trip back!

We stayed at this charming B&B in early September, while riding Le Petit Train du Nord. We arrive soaking wet, after riding in the pouring rain for a couple of hours(it just adds to the experience). The sun was finally shining and Josee greeted us and immediarely helped us wash our filthy bikes and get them into her secure storage. Then she proceeded to help us get our wet clothes hung to dry out and stuffed our shoes with newspaper (amazing trick to absorb the water). She placed a fan in the closet and by morning all our stuff was perfectly dry!!!! Our room facing the river, was small but very functional and clean! It was perfect, with a very comfortable bed. Last year we had the Beethoven Room which has a lovely deck on the river. Either room is great as she has a lovely yard you can sit in too. Breakfast is delicious and the presentation is spectacular. Thank you Josee. You are the perfect hostess and your home is beautiful and comfortable. Hopefully we can return for a 3rd visit. We absolutely love the bike trail and the amazing B&B's we have been so fortunate to stay at. Thank you!

This is a friendly and welcoming B&B right on the river rapids in the pieceful village of Val David, with an extremely friendly and helpful owner. The building is not new and the interior shows the years but one feels very comfortable and at home in this great place.

What could be better than relaxing on lounge chairs in the shade of a tree on a hot day by a river rushing over rocks? This is the scene that greeted me and my cousin and her family after cycling on the Petit Train du Nord for a couple hours on a hot, humid day...Maison de la Baviere is lovingly detailed with Bavarian stencils, and features a very cozy living room for guests, with comfy couches and classy gameboards (chess, tic-tac-toe) under a skylight, chalet-type roof. Bedrooms and bathrooms are small, beds are close to the floor and very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented (they made blueberry chocolate pancakes with soy milk because my cousin is lactose intolerant). The hosts care about your happiness.

We stayed here with another couple during our bike trip on the P'tit Train du Nord. We are Quebecoise & Vermonter; our friends are from the US Midwest. We all commented on the remarkable hospitality of Yves as he showed us around the property and made dinner recommendations. He even made reservations for us, so that we would be seated at a nice table.
The rapids behind the inn made for a very restful sleep. And, the breakfast the next morning was delicious and beautifully presented.
If we are in Val-David again, we will not hesitate to stay here, winter or summer!

Yes there are shuttle services during the Season. Check the web site for the Petit Nord Trail and you will find the links to those services.
