I stayed there recently because friends of mine have been staying there for some time now. We stayed in the semi-detached unity in the back. It was perfect for us because they were in their unity and I was in mine. We had the best of both worlds and we did not have to share a room. The kitchenette is well equipped. Everything is super clean! I don't know who owns this motel but they are doing an incredible job of maintaining it. The woman at the front was very nice and helpful. It is located near the river. Some rooms on the second floor on the front of the motel have a view of the river but the others do not. However, you just have to walk to the other side of the street and you are on the water front. You can visit the light house a couple of minutes away from the motel, the submarine and a museum for the Empress of Ireland shipwreck. If you have kids, it is fun to have so many activities you can do on foot near your motel. There is a ice cream shop on top of it! The price also can't be beat. Is it a 5 star hotel, no, but the price is incredible and everything is spotless! I would go back any day.

They are so friendly and accommodating. The decor in each room is different but stylish and functional. The location is only a 3-min walk to the rocks on the banks of the St. Lawrence. They are open all year-round. I first stayed in their handicap-accessible room which has space for a wheelchair in the shower. My second and most recent stay was in the semi-detached cabin at the back of the property, making for a very private and quiet space. There's a variety of rooms for a variety of needs in three different buildings. Some rooms have kitchenettes, which was ideal in the Covid environment. Bring your own groceries, cook what you want, when you want. Those with the kitchenettes were well-equipped with what you need to prepare meals. They even provide Real ground coffee for a fresh brew every morning. And they even provided Q-tips! Some have dual balconies front and back. Some face the sunrise, others face the lighthouse as the sun sets behind it. Some rooms can sleep 6 with well concealed hide-a-beds. The mattresses are comfortable enough without being the atypical over-stuffed hotel beds. There are a lot of English channels to watch and you can hook up your Roku to watch Netflix, etc. The wifi was flawless. There were no landline phones in the rooms I stayed in but who needs that. There's a gas bbq and a brick-lined fire pit. The staff were very friendly, in a way that differentiates them from the more 'corporate' front desk types. I found it to be more genuine. If you were to go out to explore the region as I did every day, (Highly recommend 👌), you wouldn't know that the service had been to the room until you noticed that garbage had been emptied and the dish towels replaced. And if you did meet them, it's because they are checking to see if you want fresh towels or anything else. Frankly, this IS what the big hotel chains have lost: that honest personal interaction that always makes you feel like your chatting about the weather. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place and it will be my Go-To until I move to the region.

Clean rooms (if not the most up to date). Very friendly staff, they let us keep our truck and trailer there while we rode our Motorcycles around Gaspe area even though they don't have a big parking lot. I think they made an exception for us as it was kind of quiet and not quite the busy season. Overall great value for the money especially if oyu need a small kitchen (we didn't use ours). It is right beside the museum, light house and submarine that you can tour.

Great motel for the price! Clean, well maintained, and right by the lighthouse and submarine... facing the St. Lawrence.. The front desk receptionist Fanny was great! Very helpful and engaging. The rooms were a decent size, great beds for sleeping and very quiet. I highly recommend this place, we stayed here on our way to Gaspe and we would go back.

Merci bien. Thanks so much. J'ai bien aimee le motel - tres propre, un bel acceuil. I really enjoyed my stay. Super clean, super accomodating people working at the motel. Un tres beau coin sur le fleuve. Beautiful spot, my room had a view of the St. Laurent. Petite chambre propre avec frigo....

Nice little hotel, room with kitchenette, our room was a large spacious room but friends room was extremely small both very clean and well appointed with everything except a telephone. This motel right next door to the Empress of Ireland and Hanger 14 museums. Bought tickets at Motel for the three acivities and saved 9$ per person. The submarine is a must see. No restaurants close close by but a 5-7 car ride.

You could not find a better location in Pointe-au-Père. Morning coffee on the outside landing looking out over the St Lawrence and my corner room had a perfect view of the lighthouse, submarine and Empress of Ireland Museum. The rooms are small, but very clean and fully equipped. It is a bit of a drive outside Rimouski, but worth it for the quiet. Of the five motels I stayed in while visiting Bas St-Laurent and Gaspésie, this was my favourite.

Great location! You feel the wind from the seaThe sea as you step out of your room. We spent a wonderful week. We stayed in the new section and were delighted with our stay! The Ocean is on the other side of the street. The staff was very helpful, warm and hospitable. I would not want to stay any where else in Rimouski. Lovely place for walks, museum and just chill by the sea.

If you want to be next to the lighthouse and submarine then book here. If you want to move around in you room or wish air conditioning. Book elsewhere. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. No room to move. We were lucky and it was not hot. Paper thin walls as we heard everything our neighbours said at 530 am as 1 had a bath then the other a shower. Very disappointed in what rating it receives on trip advisor as it should not be #3 in the area.

We stayed at Motel bienvenue on our way to PEI from Ottawa. Nice area to visit with lots do do around the motel. Unfortunately, our room was on the second floor and there is no elevator. We had to use an old staircase outside and it was so narrow, I could not carry the suitcases but had to drag them behind me. Sharp strips were at the back of each step and a lady with sandals could have cut her heel. The bed was not good and was more like a cot. We did not sleep well and there is NO air conditioning making the room very hot, worst on the first night. We did not use the small kitchenette, just the coffee maker!
