The Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Citadella Restaurant is situated well above Radium Hot Springs with the BEST view in town. We have panoramic view from every and EACH private balcony, even from the lower floor. Our Hungarian Restaurant is under the motel, with a huge patio, also with a magnificent view and the most delicious meals in an idyllic atmosphere. You can see the Rocky Mountains from everywhere in town, from all the motels, but it is not comparable to our view, just like you see it from an airplane or a bird's eye. Room price includes hot breakfast served in our restaurant with a variety of items to find your favorite one. It is not a buffet, rather a freshly served breakfast made by our Hungarian Chef, just like our dinners. We have an extensive menu for the evening meals, a variety of Hungarian, western and vegetarian dishes. You can watch the sunset while dining or from your private balcony, and the sunrise from your bed if you wish. We have pet friendly and wheelchair accessible suites on the main floor. All rooms have sitting area, new queen beds, new carpets, fridge, microwave and free WIFI. We can provide coffee makers or cattle's in your room.We are located a 1000feet over town by the National Park with all sorts of wildlife frequently walking by. A trail trough the forest starts from our parking lot to the Mineral Hot Springs. We, the owners clean the rooms, so they are spotlessly clean and we serve you in the restaurant as well, very friendly hospitality.

This was the dirtiest hell hole i have ever had the the misfortune to stay in. The carpets are filthy. The toilet bowl had feces in it. The sheets were stained and had hairs on them as well as small bugs. Fleas? Everything about the place is tired and rundown. The breakfast was very poor also.

Me & wife had booked a room here for our anniversary on August 27th. We were running a little late from Banf, so we called Rocky Mountain Lodge around 7:30 pm. It went to voicemail so we left a message, and made several more attempts to call with no answer. Five minutes before we arrived there around 1015 pm we received a text informing of us which room were booked in and the room being left unlocked with the key inside. When we got there the room was dirty, dingy, and smelled musty. The sink did drain properly and the toilet looked dirty. My wife was mortified & so upset she said she would rather sleep in the car. Since there was nobody to complain to, we left and stayed at another hotel. When he contacted the manager the next day and explained the situation, and asked for the charge to be reversed. He responded with you should have texted me back last night & I could have given the room to someone else, and refused to reverse the charge. The pictures are on their website are very deceptive...it's actually shows more like a one star motel.

We have been staying at this hotel 4 out of the last 5 years with incredible experiences. This year was not only disappointing it was disgusting. The rooms were dirty, smelled bad. The bathroom was covered in cobwebs, bugs attached and the bed linens were badly stained; flat pillows. The free breakfast was cold with no staff to checking on it and no other meals offered even though they advertised a full restaurant. In the past, we rated this hotel a 5/5. This stay is a 1/5... not worth anywhere near $259.95

I have attached a picture of a used ostomy bag that was hanging in the room. The bathroom had dry soap cakes from the previous occupant. Main office was locked up and no response. This hotel is now owned by the Chalet next door. There is no breakfast and at checkout there is no one around. Oh and to the non existent owners the missing bed linen from my room was given to another room who’s beds were dirty and slept in. They tried to contact you but no answer. We were the ones that found your cell phone at 0100h on the BCHA.com site under Radium. All this for $300. Do not stay here.

Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge: A Disgusting Nightmare Prepare to be appalled by the state of the rooms at Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge. Our recent stay turned into a living nightmare as we discovered dirty rooms, beds with only sheets (no actual bedding), and hair scattered all over the bathroom. But that's not all! We were also greeted by used soap left in the shower and bugs crawling on the bathroom floor. And just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, we stumbled upon a used ostomy bag filled with human urine. Unbelievable! To top it all off, we were forced to offer a fellow guest a sheet from our single bed because their own bed was infested with human hair. This hotel's lack of cleanliness and disregard for basic hygiene is truly unacceptable. Stay far, far away from Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge if you value cleanliness, comfort, and your sanity. This is a place to avoid at all costs.

We chose this hotel because of the on-site restaurant which is mentioned in a banner when you google the hotel. We called day of and asked hours of operation of the restaurant as we knew we’d be late arrivals, and when we checked in asked again and were told it was open until 9. Hurriedly put our stuff away after a long rainy drive, went to the restaurant only to find it closed. The desk clerk I checked in with, the one who confirmed it was open only 15 minutes before told me that it closes when “it’s not busy” but will be open on the Weekend. Great news for a Wednesday night guest. The parking lot had about 30 cars so the restaurant might have been busy if it had been open. Had to get back in the car and drive to get dinner. True, there were several close by, but we wanted to eat and go to bed, not get back in the car again. Trip Advisor shouldn’t recommend hotels with a restaurant if it’s only open on the weekends. There were several less expensive hotels in the area that we would have chosen if we knew we would have to drive to eat anyway. The inside of the rooms was like a 1970’s motor lodge. Definitely could use updating. The room was clean though and the shower was hot, so there’s that.

We arrived at property late to find open room with key inside. Bathroom had sour towels, dirt in the bathtub and feces on the toilet. The bed had lumpy pillows with hair embedded in cases that looked like it had never been washed. Dirty coffee cups. The front desk was closed so decided to stay 1 night instead of 2. In morning, front desk was still not open so called number on Expedia booking to advise that we were checking out due to conditions of the room and property. He proceeded to charge for 2 nights and would not refund the difference. Avoid this place at all cost.

I stayed one night in Aug.2022. The breakfast offered the next morning was awful. The box of juice in breakfast pack was expired for several months. (exp. Feb.2022)!! Beds were not clean and full of hair. Very bad experience. If you do not want to ruin your vacation, stay away from this hotel.

We stayed here for two nights on July 24 & 25th. Based on Trip Advisor ratings it sounded fantastic. On the bright side the view from the room was great and the beds were comfortable, and also there was air conditioning which was good since it was hot. The price was reasonable. There were Bighorn up the drive in and we had a nice view from the room. Unfortunately, the room was in bad disrepair. There were hardly any electrical outlets to recharge devices. We traveled for 22 days and this was the only place that had not at least purchased after market charging stations for charging electronics. There were no working lamps in the room. The bulbs were either not in there, not plugged in, or didnt' fit. The chairs on the pation were falling apart. breakfast was very disappointing. We paid for the hot breakfast upgrade for $5 per day and did not even eat there the second morning. Cold processed eggs, baked beans, and cold porridge with canned peaches. We did not eat dinner there and enjoyed going into town to Radium Brewing and the Pizza place. All of this can be fixed and it wouldn't be that expensive.

The view from this place is great but doesn't compensate for the rest of it. When we arrived we found that we had to go next door to check in and to our surprise were asked for a $100 deposit as well as payment for the one night. When we got to the room we found a wet, grey rag behind the bathroom door that had a whole host of creatures living under it! I went back next door and returned it to the reception lady who apologise. When we went out we couldn't get the door to lock so I went back again to reception and had to use the phone as there was no-one there. The person who answered said she couldn't remember if I had to push a button or turn a knob inside before shutting the door but it was one or the other. Fortunately another couple were coming out of their room and showed us what to do. We did contemplate the breakfast but walked in and straight out again and after reading the posts am glad we did.
