This was the first time I had visited the town of Radium Hotsprings. I do not know if the whole resort is like this. The rooms are condos. I do not know if all the condos are private owned, but many are. The unit that we stayed in was at the farthest end and right on the pond or small lake. We had a 2nd floor unit. It had two large bedrooms. Each bedroom had access to a bathroom. One bathroom has a bathtub/ shower combo. The other bathroom had a very large shower. The units have a full function kitchen and a nice large living room. The living room has a large electric fireplace and large t.v. There was a large deck. We were fortunate in that the weather was sunny and warm. So we could go out and sit and watch the golfers and herds of bighorn sheep. If you enjoy golfing, this is a good place. The wildlife walks around as if they own the place. Besides the bighorn sheep, there are deer and wild turkeys. At night you must travel very slowly as the sheep will come out of nowhere. They will lay on the grass. I like photography and took many photos. The resort has a pool. There is no restaurant attached to the resort, but a short drive or walk to the main highway you will find a few restaurants and a food store if you want to purchase to make dinner in your kitchen. I like this place. We were there in October of 2020. I would like to return in November when it is mating season for the sheep to watch from a safe distance the males but heads. When you check in, only one member of the family was allowed in the reception. At that time they would encourage as little contact as possible. If you needed something you could call. They do not have luggage carts, they have during the day a person who will come to help with bags if you need help. You are responsible for removing your own garbage. They have sheds where the bins are located. There you place your recycling and garbage. Yes the rooms are wheelchair accessible. My mother is in a chair. There is a bump to get into the door. Otherwise the floors are hardwood and a chair moves easy. There is an elevator to get you to the other floors. The large shower in the master bedroom a wheel chair can be rolled right up to it. I do not know if they have the special chairs to put into the shower.

Hi NormanA105, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience regarding your most recent stay with us. We are pleased to hear that you felt as though our suites were well situated allowing you to unwind watching the golfers and herds of bighorn sheep. I would recommend returning in the fall for the 'Headbanger Festival,' which is timed to coincide with the bighorn sheep's annual rut. This offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about our four-legged neighbors. Warm regards, Rachel Aylesworth Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

We just recently stayed at the resort for 3 nights. The 2 bed townhouse was well appointed, including a private BBQ on our patio. This allowed for lots of flexibility to prepare any and all meals, which is helpful when traveling as a family. The furnishings in the suite are good quality and the townhouse, pool and hot tubs were all very clean and well maintained. The property is conveniently located for walks into Radium and is a short drive to Invermere on the Lake to hit the beach. The only downside, and it is an important one, is rhe air conditioning. The posted suite information indicates the townhouse is air conditioned. In 40+ degree heat, this was a crucial reason for selecting this resort and unit over other options. And it is, but air conditioned through a room unit that serves the main floor living and kitchen area only. The bedrooms are all on the second floor and only have ceiling fans, the air conditioning is not forced air throughout. The heat was extreme reaching 42 degrees daily and not dropping below 25-28 at night so the bedrooms never cooled off. The resort needs to update the posting to reflect this fact and should be adding air conditioning to the bedrooms given the interior BC is regularly hot like this. We survived, and still very much enjoyed the facility and the golf course and the staff. We would stay again but would think twice depending on the expected weather.

Passenger650789, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience from your recent stay at Bighorn Meadows Resort. While we are pleased to hear that you felt as though the 2-bedroom townhome was well-appointed and that our pool and hot tubs were well maintained, we are saddened that you experienced some discomfort from the warm temperatures in your bedroom. Over the past weekend, Radium Hot Springs experienced an unprecedented heatwave making some of our units uncomfortably warm. We are committed to offering all our guests the most enjoyable stay. Bighorn Meadows Resort has ongoing refurbishment programs every year to enhance our suites. We appreciate the recommendations you have made, as it will help us to improve for future guests. We certainly hope you had some positive moments in your visit that allowed you to relax and unwind. We would love an opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Warm Regards, Rachel Aylesworth Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Unbelievable... The worst Costumer services I have ever experienced... I just arrived and found the upper level of my suite at 96 Fahrenheit... and the only answer I receive is... if the temperature doesn't improve there is nothing we can do. There are No more suites available, and NO manager on site, you will have to accept it and wait until the next day for the manager. When I asked, Could you bring portable units? they said NO. Can I have a refund, they said NO. Yes, the place is beautiful with a very nice location and views... But cero care for clients

Hi Merli, Thank you for taking the time to share your candid remarks regarding your recent stay. We are saddened that our shortfall resulted in your frustration when it came to the initial temperature of your room. While we do our very best to ensure the items in each of our suites are in working order, we do experience some unexpected malfunctions. However, we are pleased that our Guest Services Manager, Julia was able to move you to another suite for the remainder of your stay. We hope this experience has not placed us in your permanent disfavour and we have an opportunity to welcome you back to Bighorn Meadows Resort in future. Warm Regards, Rachel Aylesworth Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

When we stayed at Bighorn Meadows in mid-June 2021, the resort was very quiet. The unit was fine for what we booked, and the front office staff were full of tips on things to do; would get extra TP and/or towels when asked; etc. We had a wonderful stay at the resort and in Radium. We booked based on availability thru an Interval International exchange, which meant we had a studio-type of room with only a kitchenette. I cannot comment on the full units. The room. exterior access hallways and grounds were all well maintained. The use of the pool and hot tubs were limited due to pandemic restrictions (out of the control of the resort). We signed up for use as per policy and abided by restrictions. We were glad the pool/hot tubs were even open!
