Nipika Mountain Resort is an eco and adventure resort in the heart of the Canadian Rockies between Radium Hot Springs, BC and Banff, AB. The resort is off the grid, sourcing power from the sun and surrounding forest. All of Nipika’s electricity is generated with renewable, clean solar energy. The log cabins are self-contained with everything you need for a relaxing stay: full kitchen, bathroom, linens, and log fireplace. Nipika is the gateway to the Cross River Canyon Trails, spanning 1,500 acres, set along the Kootenay and Cross River valleys. We build and maintain the trail system that starts at the cabins’ doorsteps. We have something for everyone: mountain biking, hiking, trail running, canoeing, disc golf, and swimming in summer and fat biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and skating in winter. Nipika is also pet-friendly! Bring your furry friend along. Get off the grid and into nature at Nipika Mountain Resort. Day guests are welcome on the trails, too.

What’s to say this team has seen to have perfected trail grooming and maintenance.
Didn’t expect much with the weather conditions with iffy snow depths. Whatever they did it was heroic, trails magnificent and the mountain air and vistas are the real beauty and love of earth.
Someone asked me recently after watching close encounters of 3rd kind, would you go my answer surprised me, no, where would I cross country ski?

My kids (ages 8, 6, 2) and I had a fantastic getaway at Nipika. We stayed in the Mitchell cabin which was the perfect size for us and had everything we needed. The kids loved the zip line, slack line, and running in the meadow. The pond was super close for a dip to cool off in and some water fun. We hiked down to the river (an easy 15min) and spent a lovely afternoon by the water. The deck on the cabin was a great spot to watch the kids playing and I loved that there was no cell service or internet. We biked both days (my 2yr old on a Mac ride seat). The trail network is extensive and I recommend doing some trail research beforehand if you are biking with kids as Trailforks doesn’t work well out there. Biking on the main xc ski trail and the Dunbar single track was lots of fun. Try not to end up on ‘cliffhanger’ though like we did ;)
I can’t wait to go back again and explore more, in both summer and winter. It was a wonderful holiday.

This quiet mountain resort has million dollar views, amazing hiking and biking trails, extraordinary paddling on the Kootenay River with experienced, excellent staff. It’s a “people friendly dog resort”. Would be beautiful in the winter for a trail ski. Awesome.

Location : It's in a pretty amazing place. It is truly in solitude except for anyone else at the resort. There are many paths to go off and hike or bike on, they provide the proper materials/equipment to do so in the winter and summer (such as snow bikes). Around the view is incredible, the mountains all around it is really worth going. We brought a drone and were able to grab some pretty awesome photos. It is a decent way from radium hot springs, however the drive there never gets old.

Actual rooms : You get a cabin, and the cabins are very nice in terms of decoration and amenities.

Other : There are dogs on the property that you can play with, as well as firepits you can go make fires in. Overall a lovely place to stay.

My wife and I just had a 2 night midweek stay here to cross country ski, etc. and take in the winter. The weather wasn't very cold and the snow could have been awful, but the staff had done an outstanding job grooming both the ski and bike trails. Our accommodation was a beautifully built log cabin, which was well appointed, warm and very well made with local sourced and milled lumber, carefully chinked. A wood burning stove (fuel supplied) was not necessary for the warmth but added to the atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable. A lot of trouble has gone into artwork: even the coffee mugs pictured local scenes. There's enough electricity to charge a phone and for lights, though no wifi. It was good not to have to respond to emails. Steve, the owner, was particularly helpful.

We dropped by Nipika just for the day because it looked like they had some chill, cross-country style MB trails to explore. First: wow, what a beautiful place. It really makes an impression - we definitely want to come back to stay for a few nights! Second: we flagged down to ask one of the staff if they were renting bikes (their rental building was closed) and he was so nice! Helped fit the bikes and make sure they were in good shape. And when the credit card machine was down, he was kind enough to let us rent for the day with cash on hand. Amazing first impression, amazing place, great and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back for a proper stay.

I absolutely loved Nipika. Had all the kitchen necessities one would need, the bbq on the porch was convenient. Will be going back in fall and can’t wait for the wood burning fire place. Definitely recommended if you are looking to get out and disconnect.

We were a group of friends who spent 3 days at Nipika in early January. We x-country skied the many trails. The scenery is breathtaking! Our cabin was fully equipped with comfortable beds, sofa, dining area and a wood-burning stove. Wood was cut for us and all we had to do was start and keep the fire going. It was so nice to just relax at the end of the day in our cozy cabin. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. We had a great time!

My family and I stopped for a day trip ski here. While it certainly looks lovely, I unfortunately had a terrible experience with the manager/owner. I had paid for my family’s ski passes; however, as we mounted up we were accused of not paying and then further accused of lying about not paying. I’ve honestly never had such an unpleasant customer service experience. It left such a sour taste in my mouth and we will definitely not be returning. It is absolutely fine to question individuals about payment; however, the manner in which this was done was so inappropriate and unprofessional. Hugely disappointing. Customer service and basic interpersonal skills matter.

Our two night stay was perfect for 2020, but I would like to make it a yearly event. Nipiki met all my expectations. The Rocky Mtn. setting is just beautiful and our cabin was lovely.
The views made all the sports even better. An 18 hole disc golf course is being developed and it’s really fun and challenging. This mountain resort is truly a gem, well built and maintained.
