Was pleasantly surprised and loved that instead of a bland and typical hotel room, it was an apartment/condo unit. There was a spacious and well stocked kitchen with all modern chrome appliances, including a 4 burner stove and a bar style eating area; a small living room with TV; a separate bedroom with a large and comfortable bed and TV and a generously sized closet with plenty of shelves; and a separate and full piece bathroom, along with a generously sized hallway closet space! It felt like home!
And compared to staying in downtown Ottawa, this place was downright affordable and Portage Bridge and Alexandre Bridge are both within a walking or a shorter bike riding distance, to get into downtown Ottawa. This hotel is also down the street from the small and charming Laval Square which has a lively mix of restaurants and bars and live music performance. You can also walk or bike to the hidden gem that is the Chaudiere Falls and the hydroelectric dam there too.
The check in was fast and efficient within the small lobby. While this hotel doesn’t offer complimentary breakfast, they do have a small cafe/restaurant in the lobby area serving breakfast and lunch and as a hotel guest, you are provided with discount coupons for every day of your stay.
The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 star is because the parking for hotel guests, while up the street in a walking distance, is in this small, unlit lot, which doesn’t look too secure at night.
However, due to its clean and often and spacious facilities, it’s location allowing you to explore the idyllic downtown Gatineau and nearby downtown Ottawa/Parliament Hill/Byward Market area and how affordable it is, I definitely plan to stay here during Ottawa visits from now on.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this property, though I was pleasantly surprised. First off, the hotel is located in an “up and coming” neighborhood. By that, I mean, depending on who you are as a guest, you may feel uncomfortable with the neighborhood. I never felt unsafe and the neighborhood is close to some good restaurants, cafes, and other attractions. They do have a garage you can park in, which is protected by a door.
The hotel room was larger than I was expecting and very well stocked with supplies. The bath amenities were wonderful and the beds comfortable. The room is clean and modest in decor. There are some imperfections throughout the room, though nothing that interfered with our stay. I would say the only suggestion I would have, since it is located in a cold climate and has a non carpeted floor, it would be nice to have some area rugs in the living room area and maybe near the bed. The floor was warm, but areas rugs would make it feel cozy.
I am very impressed with this property and I do recommend it. It isn’t in downtown Ottawa, but it is a quick drive. My spouse had the car one day of our stay and I took the bus, which was pretty easy. This isn’t the ritz, but it is a great mid scale property.

People at the front desk are all very nice and welcoming. We had a suite with 2 double beds (303). The beds were very comfortable and we loved the fact that you can open the windows. The unit was immaculately clean. Nice little kitchen. Dishes, pots and pans were sufficient. Large fridge. There is even a dishwasher! The only down side is there is no oven, just a microwave and a stovetop, so don’t bring anything that needs to be baked. It’s so nice not to have to eat at the restaurant all the time. Very modern decor. Everything is basically brand new. We used the outdoor parking which was 15$/night which seems to be a fair price for the Ottawa region. Walking distance to the Canadian History museum. We will definitely be using this hotel again when in the area. The only downside maybe is that it’s in a less desirable part of town but it’s still close to downtown Ottawa. We will definitely use this hotel anytime we want to come back in the Ottawa area.

We stayed at this hotel while setting our daughter up at University. The hotel was clean and a good size. Staff were friendly. The full kitchen was a plus! There are restaurants near by you can walk to. Parking is limited but you can find it on the street and it is free on weekends. I will stay here again.

Will go back!
Clean and chic decor.
It's like a roomy loft. Full kitchen, furnished and nice quarts counter we took the advantage to host a little apero with some friends.
The hotel is in a quiet area but about 15min drive from busy city.
The price is vert reasonnable.
We were there during winter and the room is missing something to put our boot full of little rocks and snow. We had to put them in the shower to not damage the wood floor.

A great alternative to Downtown Ottawa. Rooms were great, clean and spacious. Lots of food options nearby. This hotel is close to all major attractions in both Ottawa and Gatineau. Parking is paid which seems the norm for Hotels these days.

Convenient location to Ottawa and vicinity. Great staff and helpful. Room is spacious and clean. Would recommend for anyone traveling in the area. Good to check out the small town itself as well. Free street parking on summer weekends

The hotel is in a sketchy end of town, there were a couple boarded up houses right next door. The hotel is also not accessible and is a maze. No breakfast or even coffee in the lounge.
There is also no parking available. You must pay for parking in the adjacent lot (which I would not recommend in that neighborhood, or pay for the underground garage.

When I first came into the hotel, the front desk manager was yelling on the phone and did not welcome me. I went to the hotel room and there was construction right outside my room. I asked why I wasn't informed about this and they didn't give me answer. So I asked to be switched to the other side of the hotel. They could not because it was all booked. I asked for a discount for my stayed and they refused to give me one. I spent 3 days with noise that caused me a migraine. Also, the room was full of hair on the floor and very dusty. I ended up cleaning everything in the room. My stay wasn't pleasant at all. (The city said they can do construction until 9pm) So if you are planning to relax, don't bother here, go somewhere else. They just want your money and won't warn you about anything,

Hi, you are right that the parking is sometimes a couple blocks away in a sketchy lot. We actually were a bit nervous with the lot so they switched us to a different lot that was the underground of a govt building. My wife thinks we had to pay, I thought it was free so sorry about that. Check with reception, they are very nice.
Yes indeed, there are rooms with balconies, but, there are only a few, so, you need to ask while booking your stay. The ones that do have balconies, have huge private balconies. Incredible !
