We stayed for two nights in a suite so that our teen could have their own bedroom and us parents had privacy. The hotel is clean and updated. The staff are very friendly and bi-lingual. A full hot breakfast is included in the room rate, and if you are a Best Western Plus member (which costs nothing to join and helps you earn free stays), then there is no additional charge for parking. There are four parking lots, once being underground. The parking does fill up but we were always accommodated. We stayed at this hotel to take in Winterlude in Ottawa. It is a 10 minute drive from the hotel, and Jacques Cartier Park, where many of the events take place, is located directly across the street from the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again.

Came for the Winter Carnival. Located across from Jacques Cartier Park in Hull Quebec and a decent walk to Parliment Hill. Breakfast had a great selection and staff were polite and professional working hard to clean and keep hot breakfast fully stocked. Kids loved the pool. Cotts available on request were delivered in a timely manner. Overall a great expereince!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in early October. First impression wasn't good as there was no porterage for a mid-size tour party. However, first impression of the room was favourable, decent size, comfortable beds, quiet location. That was until the bugs started crawling around; on and in my wife's bed, and a third appearance on mine, just after I'd offered to swap beds for hers. A quick trip to reception with the aforementioned third bug, and a quick room change was made by reception, who were apologetic. However, the fun really began next morning in the "dining room", which looked to me very much like a function room set with black table cloths on large circular tables. Even better was the disposable black plastic cutlery and plates available on both mornings of our stay. No bar, and precious little in the way of local dining options. By far the worst hotel I have ever experienced; so unfortunate for Best Western who have a better name than this hotel deserves.

Had a very negative experience at this hotel last year. Afterwards, the manager said he would make things right with us the next time we stayed. After ignoring my calls and emails for two weeks, he finally responded by offering me a rate I could book myself- directly on the website. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he suggested I take my business elsewhere, which I was happy to do. I will advise anyone who asks against using this hotel! The customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced, and I have taken it up with BW Customer Service, the Chamber of Commerce, and will be contacting the owners.

Good: The location is decent being close to the museum and close to downtown Ottawa. The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly clean. Bad: I was 1 adult travelling with 3 teenagers. I had requested an adjoining room and was assured that one was available. Upon checking in, not only were the rooms not adjoining but they had us on 2 separate floors. They apologized but said they were full and couldn't change our rooms. After some discussion, they were able to find 2 rooms on the same floor but at opposite ends of the hotel. This was not ok for me since I was responsible for other people's children but had no other option. Thankfully we were only staying the one night. One of the rooms smelled of urine. You could tell that they had tried to clean it but the smell was still there. Parking is a bit of a mess with 4 different parking locations available. We were able to use the underground parking which was attached to the hotel. The doors did not automatically close fully so you had to be sure to pull on your door when leaving your room to ensure that it was locked. Overall, I would not stay here again. I did not have a good experience and it would not be worth it for me to spend $285 per night per room to worry about the safety of those travelling with me.

We usually sleep at the Westin Ottawa. However, when you add parking and lunch it becomes very expensive. So we tried this hotel, parking (inside or outside) included and lunch (very complete) included. The bill was much more affordable. The place is well maintained although very mid-range. The seats in the hall need to be reviewed and the rooms have been used, although very clean. The lunch room is perfect, the staff courteous and friendly. The big positive point: one street corner from the Museum of Canadian History (one of the most beautiful in the country) and you just have to cross the Alexandra Bridge on foot by bike or by car (very nice walk by the way) to arrive at Major Park and on Parliament Hill/the Byward Market and all its restaurants, the Rideau Center etc… It is therefore a Hotel to remember.

Our family stayed at the Best Western Gatineau over the Family Day weekend in February 2024. The hotel is located in Gatineau - just across the river from Ottawa. It is about 10 stories tall, and our room had a wonderful view over the river. Ottawa is easily accessible by either a fifteen minute walk across a nearby bridge or by car. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, and it was nice not to have to worry about breakfast - since a buffet breakfast was included each morning with our stay. John.

Breakfast was good for North America with buffet dinner, there were scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles etc. On 01.01.2025 there was no cook and therefore only toast with jam. The service was very good, friendly and attentive. The room was quite large with very nice views compared to hotels of similar category and price range.

The room was dirty and the bathroom had no heating (very cold). The bathroom floor was filthy and the counter was falling off the wall. The food (lunch included) was inedible and the service non-existent. The person who was there to help us spent more time on his cell phone than dealing with the customers present.

Dear guest, we do have a coffee maker in the room and it can also heat water for tea. However, we do not put tea in the room but will be happy to provide you with tea from our restaurant, O'Laurier.
