I was unsure what to expect as mine was a simple motorbike tenting experience. Beautiful campground with great amenities such as showers, laundry, WiFi and dish washing facilities made it a wonderful peaceful camp site and I got to pitch my tent on the grass which was perfect. Staff were fun and friendly and made you feel welcome right from the start. Close proximity to town and the golf course with the Elk River running along the North edge. I will definitely go back again and highly recommend Fernie RV Resort😁👍🏼
We have been here multiple times, often with big groups! The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, going above & beyond with little details. The bathrooms are immaculate and landscaping is beautiful. We plan on this campground being a regular of ours!
We just spent four nights at the Fernie RV resort and I couldn’t be any happier with our experience. It’s a beautiful property that’s extremely well-kept and clean; with amazing views every direction you look. Nicest bathrooms and showers I have ever encountered at any RV park; and the kids loved that they could borrow bikes; and of course get ice cream and lemonade on site. Also a bonus being so close to the river; we found some great swimming spots in walking distance!
Would be a 5 star however the lack of shade made the late day a bit unbearable on the hot days. Close to the river with nice walking paths. Took less than 10 mins to bike to town and dogpound creek. Bathroom and showers were clean. Not much privacy but sites are large enough that it isn’t too much of an issue. Would stay here again but maybe in spring or fall would be more enjoyable.
Located quite centrally in Fernie with great views. They have made some newer sites it seems, close to the river. They are huge, very expensive, full service but we couldn't resist and didn't regret it! The rest of the large CG has smaller much less expensive but still very nice sites. Our travel trailer is small, so we were dwarfed a bit by larger campers but we loved our view of the mountains, the massive site, gravelled and flat. Lots of meadowy grass behind us and well spaced from others. Very quiet at night. We didn't use facilities but they seemed very modern looking and new. For dog owners, there is a nice trail along the river but also a great off leash dog park a couple of minutes drive away. Lots of nice owners and friendly dogs. I would love to stay again.
The resort sites are very easy to park your trailers in. Huge! Full service! I like to glamp. Booked online. Due to last minute booking the staff were beyond accommodating to keep my moves from site to site at a minimum. I changed 3 times. They were super. We lucked out and got a riverside spot. Will come here again. Our view having coffee this am is so peaceful and our view looks like a mountain postcard. There is a tonne to do here. We will be paddle boarding, possible white water rafting, biking the endless trails and floating on the river. Hubby forgot my golf clubs. Not sure if I can rent. Please look them up online.
We will return whenever we can. Great sites, nice people, reasonable rates. Fernie itself is a great place to explore. Lots of takeout and delivery. Fire pits and picnic tables at each site. Pets are very welcome.
This was our fifth or sixth stay with these folks and it keeps getting better, not that it was ever anything but wonderful. Great park with functional, well layed-out sites . Stunning natural features in this locale and Fernie is all growed up and funky. Great staff & management. Water, juice and wifi are amongst the best we’ve encountered in hundreds of RV parks in Canada & US. Only one small quibble, the sewer standpipes, at least in Section D, are all higher than the outlets in most RV’s. This stuff doesn’t flow uphill so a little hose massage (yuck) is required to drain the black & gray tanks. No biggie but a small design flaw.
It will be a nicer campground once the new trees get bigger, provide more privacy and shade for the camp site. The proximity to town, available trails to walk, the cleanliness, the amenities are all really nice features. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Cant beat the location!! We love it. Kids love the open spaces and being able to bike everywhere. Close to everything you need. The river is great to be close to, perfect little swimming and floating areas. Good size sites and very well kept. Facilities are great. The views are amazing from morning coffee to evening camp fires. Can' t wait for new areas to be completed!
