Situated in the village of Fernie Alpine Resort with ski-in ski-out accessibility, award-winning Alpine Lodge provides a unique accommodation experience. Blending the atmosphere of a resort with the warmth and service of a B&B, Alpine Lodge is the best of both worlds (and a great place to be after a long day shaking the world-famous powder from your hair). Good friends are made around the huge log fireplace while you sip your wine and share the day's adventures. Alpine Lodge is a purpose built "Inn" type of lodge. Typically found in European and South American resorts, Alpine Lodge was specifically built to offer amenities to cater to an alpine traveler's needs. Ski in/ski out accommodations, a steam room, jacuzzi, drying room, laundry, large fireplace, great room and media room are just some of the sevices and facilities available to Alpine Lodge guests. Bedrooms are all three piece ensuite with shower type facilities. The bedrooms whilst comfortable are not the focal point of the lodge. The common areas are what makes this accommodation particularly unique. Please enjoy them. Alpine Lodge has eight guest rooms on two floors with access from the lobby. All rooms have views of either the ski hill or the forest and trail network. Guests may choose from a king size bed, perfect for couples, two single beds, or one single and one bunk bed. Each room has an attached ensuite with sink, toilet and shower. Our guest rooms are certainly comfortable, but we encourage guests to join us in the Great Room around a roaring fire. The view of the ski hill is wonderful, and this is where some of the best memories of your holiday are made. Our clientele is varied... couples, singles, families–from near and far. During any stay you could meet a traveler from Australia, Japan, USA or just next door in Alberta. You'll all have something in common, a love for the awe-inspiring magnificence of the Canadian Rockies. After a long, 'hard' day on the slopes you'll want to relax your muscles with a soak in the hot tub. A short hop from the back steps to the tub and you'll feel the exhaustion melt away, just in time for dinner. Or perhaps a steam bath is more to your liking. Our steam room is probably the best way to get the cold from your bones on those really chilly days. If you'd like, a massage is also available by request. Several excellent body workers reside in Fernie and make their services available on the ski hill. Check with us when you book your reservation and we'll set it up for you at the lodge. There is Wi-Fi throughout the lodge, but there are no phones or televisions in the rooms. Alpine Lodge Fernie is a place to relax and watch the sunset from the deck, or have a hot tub and massage.

We spent 5 nights at the Alpine Lodge in February 2005, and had a wonderful time. This was the first stop of our 3 centre trip (also to Kimberley and Panorama), and was the nicest place we stayed. The room was a good size, the hot tub was very welcome. We found snowboarding back to the lodge hard work, probably due to our relative inexperience. We had dinner at the lodge on one evening, and it was very good indeed. Breakfasts were varied and set us up for the day wonderfully. We had excellent pizza at Gabriellas Little Italy - Recommended.

What a fabulous lodge. I've been staying here summer and winter for 5 years now. Every visit is outstanding. Michyo is an unbelievable host and if you get a chance to meet Cam and the kids it makes it even more special. Usually there in the summer but just spent 5 days skiing. Unreal you can ski straight into the hot tub and then into the most beautiful building i have ever seen. It is truely breath taking. Definitly a must see.

This is the fifth large group holiday I have organised for a group of men and Alpine lodge is the best accommodation we have stayed in. There was 18 of us on this trip and we all fitted into Alpine lodge easily. Cam and Michiyo were wonderful hosts and very helpful with anything we needed. As I stated in the Title this place is truly ski in ski out. I could ski right up to the back door and I could ski straight down to the Elk chair only having to cross a road (which didn't require taking my skis off).

My husband and I hosted our wedding at Alpine Lodge this July, I will start by saying it was fantastic.

Both our families stayed at the Lodge for the wedding weekend, they were all happy with the accommodations, good sized rooms, ensuites in each, a bunk room that worked great for the kids. It offers lots of room for relaxing, cooking, eating and drinking. The kitchen is fully stocked, we had a great time utilizing the bbq. Hot tub, steam room and fire pit available as well. We encouraged the rest of our guests to stay at hotels on the hill so they were near by the festivities, that worked out great.

All our wedding events were held at the lodge, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, dinner and reception. The wedding was 50 people, I think that is the perfect number for that venue, you could easily fit more but that number worked great. The ceremony was in the back, it was a beautiful back drop and lots of room for seating. The dinner was in doors, we had 5 8 foot tables and used the large cedar table they have as the head table, there was still tons of room to get up and move around. We held the reception in the back, no dance floor instead we did games (bocce, giant jenga, that kind of thing), fires, music and snacks.

Cam and Michiyo were wonderful to work with. They were there to answer my many questions, they were easy going and accommodating. The fire alarm went off in the Lodge just before our dinner started, we called Cam and he was there in minutes, our guests didn't even know it happened. I would highly recommend this as a venue for a small wedding, we couldn't be happier, the only caution I would give, there is no air conditioning, when cooking all day for a wedding on a hot summer day it got a little toasty in there, we surrounded the tables with fans and it was tolerable.

Overall a wonderful experience, we would recommend for weddings, big groups and even a couples getaway for the weekend (in the summer they are slower and you have a good chance of getting it all to yourself!)

Thank you for the wonderful review. We are renting the entire lodge only for groups and weddings, we no longer rent rooms. As the largest private ski-in / ski-out lodge at Fernie Alpine Lodge, we are the most accommodating and cost effective option. All the best!

A warm greeting by the owner who showed us around a led us to our room. The room was clean, comfortable and simple. More B&B than hotel. Has a nice outdoor hot tub and steam room. Easygoing atmosphere.
The hot breakfast which was included in the price was served up with creativity and a smile.

I would recommend to anyone! We stayed here for two nights. We were greater by Mitchio (owner/do everything lady) and she was super helpful. The lodge is really nice and homey feeling. The beds were nice and big. We really enjoyed our stay even with crap snow on the hill.

Breakfast was awesome, fresh hot breakfast.

Restaurants and ski hill were very close, only a 1 or 2 min walk.

We have been going to fernie for 5 years now and this was the 3rd place we found and have stayed here every year ever since. It's great for large groups. The bedrooms are sectioned of with a hallway door so that you can't hear people in the living room and EACH room has it's own BATHROOM and SHOWER! The kitchen it huge for cooking large meals and is stocked pretty well with kitchen utensils. There is a crockpot too. The hot tub is nice. This a true ski in ski out. The only thing is if you need a lift ticket you need to ski out and then walk up the bunny hill to the village to purchase a ticket. You can ski in, but I find the path very narrow and usually walk but pretty much everyone else ski’s down it.

Beautiful timber-frame lodge set against Fernie's breathtaking scenery. You could literally ski right into the hot tub! I loved the heated floors for drying gear and the steam room was killer. Our hosts Cam and Michiyo were so nice, they were always working hard to keep things tidy or making a tasty breakfast. Not to mention our dog Foxy was allowed in the lodge no probs. Thanks guys, we will never forget our time in Fernie and we'll spread the good word!!!!!!!!
