Wow, I have stayed at many hotels over the years but this one i had to write my very first hotel review for, this place will go out of their way to please you in many many ways, one perfect example is this one: On our last night there we had to leave very early in the morning, like 4am, so we asked at the desk if there was going to be any coffee ready for when we leave, coffee is usually ready at 5am but they made an execption for us and the coffee was ready for us that morning as promised, they did not have to do that but they did, the place is super clean, the maids are the best and friendliest i have ever met. indoor spa and pool and gym were excellent too. thanks again my stay was memorable. Next time i am in town guess where i'm staing?
This hotel is perfectly located. Restaurants and pubs nearby as well as located inside the hotel itself. Room was large, clean and very well equipped. We traveled with a dog and the staff were incredibly kind even giving a little doggie surprise bag upon check in. Hotel breakfast was great! And the pub was okay as well. Would love to return to Park Lodge on our next visit to Fernie!
We were greeted my really friendly and helpful staff at the Park. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is on a corner on the main road going through Fernie and yet it was so quiet. We had a room with a balcony and a view of the mountains, just lovely. I did swim in the hotel pool, although only open 4pm - 10pm it was perfect for me after a long drive. We had our breakfast at the Bristro in the hotel which, was very good. Our evening meal we enjoyed in the Pub adjoining the hotel, that also was good.
Upon arrival at the park place lodge at August 16 sometime around 4pm, we were greeted by the friendliest of staff. Even with some trouble from some of us checking in, they were able to make the check-in quick and painless for us. During our stay we were constantly treated with the utmost respect and "hi, how are you?", or "is there any thing we can do for you"? Aside from the accommodating staff, the rooms were very well kept with some of the comfiest beds I've slept in at a hotel. If you choose to stay anywhere in Fernie, I would definitely recommend the park place hotel.
This hotel is conveniently located about a 10 minute walk to historic downtown and right across the street are several great restaurants. The good: indoor pool was nice, the beds were super comfortable and the room was clean. The bad: pretty sure there were 2 people working the day we checked in, one at the front desk and 1 doing other work. As our room only had the decaf coffee we had to go downstairs to ask for more but because there were several guests checking in, no biggie but don’t expect to be greeted at this place when you arrive. Second, this hotel is really dated and shabby. Seems like the place needs a deep clean on the outside, some fresh paint, and some modern touches. Ultimately though, most of this did not matter because the location is stellar, the beds were super comfy and in a place like Fernie, if you’re spending a lot of time in the hotel, you’re doing it wrong. …
