I bought a coupon on Tuango for La Camarine, it was a great deal and the pictures of the hotel looked adorable...oh the disappointment when we got there! Started with a friendly welcome, got the keys to our room and then...it was like travelling back to the 80'! The rooms are old and dusty, the bed was uncomfortable and so old, no coffee machine in the room, nothing (NOTHING) like the pictures we saw! I swear they took those picture from another hotel cause I couldn't see the resemblance at all! Then wen to take my shower and the bottle of shampoo and soap were half empty...they never changed them. When I went to the front desk to tell them that it was quite wrong not to change the little bottles and leave the half empty one from the person before, the person just said: Yeah, sorry that's really disgusting. And that's it, that's all they did! Otherwise, food was ok, nothing amazing but ok. Would not go there again and can't really recommend it, im sorry I really wish I could but this hotel needs a major facelift!…
Four of us stayed for one night. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed breakfast at the attached cafe. Both rooms had fireplaces that would have been a nice extra, except that we were there in July and we would have preferred air conditioning. One room had a fridge, but the other did not. Staff was friendly. The only drawback was a continuous very loud fan noise just outside our windows facing the courtyard. I wish we had asked for a water view instead.
Went on a school trip here and my friend found a half eaten salad in the fridge, the room i stayed in had wrappers everywhere and stains on everything. One stain looked like blood on the chair. I was told my friend was in room 18 and nobody could find it. The shower was freezing. Very outdated and dirty. Absolutely disgusting, would never reccomend.
Friendly welcome with clean smart rooms. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, other wise well equipped. There is plenty of road noise if you leave the window open. The breakfast let this place down. There were 30 in our group and someone had mis-calculated with the croissants etc. By the time I had got down to breakfast the first morning there was one croissant and the others following me had none. The second morning we were told to take one piece of bread and one croissant and no more! The croissants weren't even of a good quality. As for the milk, one in our group liked a glass of cold milk in the morning - forget it!
Would not recommend this place unless need to spend a night on the way through. The pictures on the website make this look very cosy and comfortable and describes it as an inn/ auberge, when in reality it is a motel. It needs some tender loving care, and definitely needs some cleaning. We had to ask several times to get our room cleaned, and at one point were told they did not clean rooms every day?? Suzanne, one of the receptionist was helpful with looking up places to see and ski, but the rest of the staff were far from helpful. Breakfast (not included) was so -so. Very disappointed.
