Hotel's Favourite
Visited once again this magnificent resort but this time with my husband as lovers. Staff was wonderful and courteous. Amenities, spa and thermal experience are a great suggestion when visiting. Food was on point as always at the Msteak house. Bought us a bathrobe each at $55…. Cheap price for the quality of the robes. For those who travel around the world like us, this place is 5 stars for sure in our books. Highly recommend

Family has been going annually during the summer for the past 7 years but over the last few years noticed that they closed off access to the change room/ washrooms connected to the indoor pool. Very disappointing as we now have to go further if we need to use a washroom. Thumbs down

Overall resort ambience excellent. Nice rooms, excellent lounge with good drinks, service and menu and terrific setup, nice spa. Beds a bit aged. Main restaurant just ok. Salmon tartare outstanding. Great outdoor hottub.

Edited review from last week - I forgot my iPad in one room after an overnight stay and the staff did not seem to care to find it nor returning my numerous messages left on supervisor and director of cleaning services voicemail. My iPad was in the room, fell through sofa bed cracks and well hidden. I was told that some staff went into the room and it was not there (I could see location of the iPad so I knew it was in the room). It's just an object but honestly, treating patrons with courtesy and respect did not seem to matter much to staff and management at the Manoir at that time. I had to send an email and write a not so positive review on TripAdvisor about my experience for a director to call me and vouch she would not stop until they find it, which they did. This director called and sounded truly sorry about my bad experience. My iPad was returned to me, at their cost, which was a nice gesture. A nice getaway that ended well, after all. …

We always do spa weekends. Ive been to manoir saint-sauver once before and loved it. This time not so much. We booked hhe romantic package which is with tax, $895 for 1 night. It included supper, room, breakfast and a massage. I'll start by saying there parking is horrible. Spent over a half an hour circling to find some where to park. Dinner was a set menu. But only pasta and pizza was included. If you jwanted a piece of meat, you have to pay. Breakfast was good. The massage didn't happen because they lost our reservation. I have to say the spa was very professional. Very helpful. Will go back to that spa only. Driving home now feeling totally shocked and feel ripped off!!

Great atmosphere, great staff and beautiful accommodations. This hotel is the nicest in the laurentians! Food and staff were courteous and delicious. The bar area has great music and a fun cocktail list. My husband and I got a massage each at the Spa and both were great. Strongly recommend this hotel for your getaway.

After all the poor service comments on Trip Advisor, unfortunately they still don't get the message. If you want to feel unwelcome and tense, this is the place. We booked six months in advance to have adjoining rooms. Didn't honor it. When my 7-year old was finishing a sandwich in the lobby, the restaurant manager told him he needed to finish it in our room since he did not buy it at the hotel (despite the fact that we were sitting with drinks that we bought at the hotel and despite that the restaurant is in a different location than the lobby!) When we could not reach room service from our room phone, the front desk woman told us she could not help us. We asked whether she could call room service for us since they were not answering. She flatly responded "no." This place seems to think service with a smile is not a thing (no one smiles). And my favorite part is that on two separate days, we were told no manager was on duty to escalate! As a family who travels all over the world together, I can easily say this was the most unwelcome experience we have ever had. It is a real shame because the facility truly is beautiful and well renovated. …

This hotel stay was unpleasant to say the least… TV has no/poor reception, could barely watch any channel. Room fridge was empty and water bottles are $3.00 EACH ! Was stunned when we didn't have bath robes to walk to the spa and sauna located outside. If we opened the plastic bags for the robes located in our closet, we would have been charged $55.00 EACH !! The spa outside is poorly upkept, ice all around (I slipped and fell on my butt) and the spa water was luke warm water (very unpleasant in -30 weather). A one night stay with breakfast included (nothing else) was $412.00 !!!! Very expensive for the facility and lack of amenities !!!

Reserved 2 nights well in advance for my wife’s birthday. Requested a room not next to elevator and main buildings no as I am handicapped and get tired walking big distances . Also mentioned that did not want feather pillows and bed covers as my wife is allergic. When we checked we weee given a room in remote section of the main building and on the fourth floor at the end of the hall at the opposite of the elevator. We were told the hotel was full . Finally we were changed to another room in the same remote section but in shorter distance to the elevator. The next day I was alerted by BMO credit card the the hotel charged us $ 864 plus another 603 Inquiring at the reception desk I was informed the I was charged for 2 rooms the room we weee transferred from plus the actual room for a total of over $ 1100. The receptionist explained that rooms we were charged according to the day availability To make a long story short I called a supervisor who without addressing me and without apologizing for their idiotic justification rectified the charges. Although we are still listed under the first room number from which we transferred Breakfast staff indifferent, slow and seems confused. A pity for such a hotel !…
