Detailed Reviews
Save yourself - don't stay here! It's a pretty good indication about the place when they charge you a $150 damage deposit right off the bat! We were given a room on the ground floor, which we didn't want but since the woman at the front desk said they were fully booked, we had to take it. The ground floor window locks in our room were broken so there was no way to secure the room fully. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night (a wired in fire sensor that likely woke the entire building). Not sure if there was an actual fire or someone set it off? After that, the occupants above us woke up and the sound of kids running around the room ensued for the next hour. Needless to say, it was a horrible sleep! I think the other thing to be aware of is that there are two different addresses on Google maps for 190 Chemin De la Gare. We were directed to another location, across the highway and in a residential section before we realized the error.

The location is very good, close to Outlets and Grocery Store and a nice walk to Restaurants and Principal street. The rooms are a good size but we did not find the room very clean. Floor seemed to have not been cleaned at all.

This property is in the heart of the city, it is close to everything. There plenty of restaurants around to satisfy everyone. If you choose a suite which is only about 20$ more, you get a full kitchen and a whirlpool, nice on cold days. Compared to other establishments around, you get more for your money at that place. Breakfast is included but if you are a hearty eater you will have to go somewhere else. If you have a kitchen that is easily solved.

Noisy, no insulation, no service after midnight.
We get woken up at 1:30 in the morning by noise and music. The world speaks loudly and sings loudly. We called emergency service. We were hooked twice. We were afraid of these people and we had no choice but to leave.

Old and run down hotel. I asked for a hide a bed when i made the reservation, and even confirmed the day of our arrival. They said it was no problem, it was reserved to my room. When we got there, the hide a bed was given to someone else. Linen sheets were dirty. Our doors was not closing because the lock and brackets were loose. Frontdesk didn't believe us, so we had to bring the brackets and lock to them so they could believe us. The maid was very rude to us. Continental breakfast was not appetizing ( rotten apples in a basket).

I will never make any reservation to this Hotel. I reserved 2 rooms beginning of May for 2 days. I got confirmation via e-mail. 2 days before arriving,I received a call at home saying that our reservations were cancelled. No reason given. The next day I called and talked to Kim and was told that it got cancelled because a group a 20 had reserved and they needed our rooms. For the unconvenience I was to received 2 complimentary rooms and will confirmed by e-mail. Guest what, nothing ever came in. These are very dis-honest people running this place.

Response from HotelLesLaurentides, Owner at Hotel & Suites Les Laurentides
Responded Jun 1, 2013
Dear RegSyl, Since you posted this negative review, we have been talking and pointed out to you that some of the information posted here was not exactly as described in your comments. First I would like to express our most sincere apologies to you concerning the cancellation of your reservations at least 72 hours prior to your actual arrival date. Due to a request from guests who were already staying with us to extend their stay for a few more weeks ( Corporate Guests on a long term contract in our Region ) our Deluxe Jacuzzi Suites were no longer available. That is why we had one of our employees contact you and offer you a Complimentary Stay at our property within a 3months period in one of those suites upon availability. The Hotel being full ,we had been busy taking care of our guests and it took us a litlle longer than expected to get to send the Certificates to your home address. I sincerely believe that as of last week you have recieved the said certificate and we have also extended the validity by an additional 3months to enable you to take full advantage of our offer. We hope you will give us a second chance to prove to you that not only are we responsible, reliable but also very welcoming people. Thank You for your comments and the opportunity given to us to make amends. Sincerely Sam Chadda

Creepy hotel, from A to Z. Run by 2 unsmily & unfriendly women. When we first arrived at the front desk to leave our lugages before our room would be ready (not before 4PM!) the first sentence the woman told us is : ''Whattt?! It's not even 9AM!'' No Hello, no hospitality, no good manners. The woman gave us 2 cards for our room, because she said they tend to desactivate easily with cell phones!! LOOK : from the outside, the hotel looks like a senior citizens home. POOL : no pool, no spa. ROOM : The room is average clean and looks more like a motel room than a $163 room! It's called a suit, actually... you have to fix the hour on the old oven yourself. The microwave has no time on it. There was a hole in the wall next to our bed. And a spaghetti spot on another wall next to the other bed. Plus, you have the control pannel access, unhidden and unlock, inside your room, so watch for kids not to play with it!! CLIM : The clim is set off when you arrive, so it takes a lot of time to get your room cold. Plus, it is set to 23, we've try to set it to 20, but it stops to 23 and you can't get any colder than that, which is limit. WINDOW : You CAN'T leave the curtains (one was broken) open because your room door opens on an aisle where people walk to their room... so if you leave it open, people will always have a great look inside your room as well as the condos on the other side of the parking they can sneek a peek inside your room as well! So keep curtains always shut, very dark. Thw WORST, the BATHROOM : the shower pole was so dirty of a black substance it stains my towel. The only miror of the room is covered with little dots (not dirt, an old miror getting dots in it)! the bath is very slippery. There was a hole in the wall + paint removed under the clim program system. BREAKFAST : toast, cereals (3), bagels, apples, coffee, orange juice, yogourts, milk only no cream, straberry jam and peanut butter. 6 tables, 24 seats. Very poor breakfast. HELP : For women working in an hotel, they are not helpful and do not know the area. We asked about a popular theatre nearby 5min taxi, but they did not know where it was! We strongly advise to AVOID this hotel.

The worst experience in my life and believe me, I have traveled a lot. I have quit the hotel very earlier in the morning because I couldn’t support any more. Very bad service from front desk; very noisy room; the walls are from "paper" you hear everything what your neighbors do.

Stayed at this hotel in mid September with family and was extremely disappointed. In short, the room was extremely dirty. The only good thing was the complimentary light breakfast offered. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
