My husband and I went here for my birthday. It was so beautiful. The cottage was everything and more that we could have asked for. The swimming pool , sauna was an added bonus. To just go for a dip any time you wanted. Kitchen had everything we needed. I would recommend this resort to everyone.
Never ever go here.. i rather stay on the street then in this resort. The place was not clean..omg the bed was small and you can feel the springs on your back..the hot tub outside was covered in mold. The kitchen stove didnt work.. please i am telling you avoid this resort.. i wouldnt go back if it was free.. how embarrassing to tell people to come enjoy your resort when theres no love from the owner on his properties.. my recommendation is to sell it to someone who cares or has money to maintain the property at least... YUCK!!!!
Clean, good idea with the pool, nice people at reception, definitely not a 5 stars, expensive for conditions. Very old interior original from 30-40 years ago. For sure we’ll be back but only if they will renovate.
This is not a 5* resort but a fantastic deal for the price. Where do you get an indoor pool, fireplace indoor and out, jacuzzi, kitchen for this price right in the heart of the Laurentians? We have been many times and have tried different chalets. Sure some need some TLC but overall clean. i usually bring my own pillows. The owners are super friendly and helpful.
Two stars because there were a couple positive elements - the man that checked me in was pleasant and accomodating. The outdoor area around the house was very nice for a rental - great scenery and space for my dogs. Otherwise it was not a good stay. The overwhelming mildew smell in the check-in lobby of the resort foreshadowed things to come. When I entered my chalet it smelled badly and I was shocked to find that only 1 tiny window opened in the entire house, making it impossible to vent the air or get any fresh air inside. I do not go to the mountains in July to sit in a smelly house with the windows sealed up. There was a 2nd tiny window and the screen was broken so it could not be opened. These chalets do not have open windows in the summer - that is totally unacceptable to me, especially given the mildew/ashtray/smelly dog odor that pervaded the chalet. All my clothes and bags and anything that was inside the house smelled when I got home and had to be washed. It was so bad that when I woke the next day I immediately drove into town to attempt to find another motel or hotel. I failed - there is very little available in this area - the town appears to be designed for people that own homes, not casual visitors. Basically the overall condition of the chalet is very broken-down and old. Outside of house very filthy with dirt, old spiderwebs, dead bugs, and the 2nd floor deck felt rotten and unstable, I would not step on it. It was like staying in a creepy haunted house. House overgrown by tree branches. Ktichen light broken & doesn't come on. Bed was very old and gone totally soft. Couches very old and uncomfortable with some kind of hard bulge under the seat. One side of the speakers on the TV & Stereo was not working. Very small shower stall, had difficulty moving around in there. Toilet paper is actually made of some kind of hard, abrasive, waffled-ridged paper, I have never seen toiled paper this bad before. Although you're renting an individual house, the front door still uses a keycard system like a hotel. I found this to be inconvenient and unexpected for renting a standalone house. The swimming pool looked absolutely frightening and I knew from one look driving by I did not want to go in there. Also just to be clear this resort does not have any frontage on the river. In my view this is not luxury and I felt that it cost about 3x what should have been charged.…
