Hostel on an enchanting site, surrounded by flowers, lake view, quiet, access to a pool, very clean rooms and refined decor. Our host, Mr Roland Petit is of extraordinary cordiality in addition to offering an original and delicious lunch. Only positives for this accommodation. Very good value for money

Gîte Ancestral is an oasis in Ste Agathe. A beautiful, impeccably kept house with its clear view of the Lac des Sables lake has a private dock with chairs to settle in and draw, read or daydream. Our eyes kept going back to the meticulously planned outdoor decor led by hydrangeas placed strategically all around. Breakfasts at this B&B is no small affair: fresh orange juice , fruit cup, warm bread, a hot dish and coffee that keeps coming. Our hosts were very attentive and professional; wi fi works very well. It just got bumped to the top on our favorite “escape to”list.

Marie Louise and Roland Petit are the most gracious, generous, talented couple. They made our stay absolutely splendid! The grand manor with its warm interior and European linens are worthy of a Relais and Chateaux designation. Chef Roland prepares a Swiss Breakfast fit for royalty. The attention to service and detail are faultless, yet the ambiance is not pretentious. Their restaurant conveniently located 10 mins away is a whole other gourmet feast, including a remarkable wine list. Our overall experience was luxurious!

My husband and I stayed one night with our 4 year old daughter in the Charmeuse room (#4). The room was clean and spacious and we loved the large shower. The living room on the main floor was cozy and my husband enjoyed the large selection of books. Breakfast in the solarium was delicious and beautiful! Couldn't ask for a better way to start the day. Will definitely be returning!

We were two couples traveling along the Petit Train Du Nord bike route and stayed at this quaint B&B. Only 4 bedrooms so very quiet. Excellent service by Marie-Louise and delicious breakfast prepared by her husband. The bikes were secured safely on site and the rooms were great. We got to stay in the "honeymoon" suite with the heart shaped tub for 2. We dined at the family restaurant just ten minutes away by foot. The food was delicious and so wonderfully presented. My girlfriend has dietary restrictions that were taken care of without a hitch, both at dinner and breakfast. The view from the patio was beautiful, overlooking the lake and hills. The outdoor pool is salt water but it was too late in the season to partake. The only thing that was not available was a kettle or coffee after hours. It would have been nice to make ourselves an evening tea or coffee without the assistance of MarieLou (who was now working at the restaurant during dinner and evening). Thank you both for making our stay so nice. I hope you get some sleep in the off season, you both work too hard.

We stayed two nights only because the weather did not cooperate, but I would have loved another couple of hours on that lovely sheltered porch with my book. Our king-sized room with a large bathroom, including a shower for two was very comfortable. We were treated to tasty and filling breakfasts, including fresh croissants and chocolatines, fresh fruit, yogurt and a hot plate attractively presented in the cheery breakfast solarium. Our meal at the restaurant was very pleasing too, with 15% off since we were guests at the B&B. The main-floor lounge area had lots of seating, but we couldn't find all the lights, so evening reading was out. Be sure to ask in advance, since the owners are busy at their restaurant every evening. However, they are very responsive and when our arrival was later than requested, obliged quickly.

Other family shared a second room and while smaller, it fit the bill. We were all delighted with our accommodations and food in this bed and breakfast.
