Seriously the worse camping I have experienced. First of all the road to get to our camping was paved, had street lights, and the camping lots were so close together I could hear people snoring next to us. It felt like suburben area, nothing special one bit. You are not in or with nature at all. Pathetic!!! Very disappointing! Plus we found and collected garbage behind our tent where there was the wooded area.

Visited during June 2019, nice sites although the large RV area has no shade. Visited this camping several times, it seems to go downhill. The animation was very average. Beach is "ok" but lots of kids/teenagers with loud music and pot

This is a very large campground with almost 500 sites including a number of sections for seasonals and full-timers. Despite its size there are only about 20 EWS sites with 50amp electricity for RV's > 35', half of which are pull-through - fortunately these sites are located at the far end of the campground where there is less traffic and it tends to be quieter. Most sites in the campground are open, however there are several shaded sites with EW for tents and pop-ups. WiFi is available at the office and rec centre. There are washrooms, free showers and laundry facilities ($2 each for wash & dry) in several places throughout the park. Free passes to Lac des Sables beach are provided. Kayak, canoe and paddle boat rentals are available ($13/hr). Our site (#492) was 30' x 60', however the placement of the electric post next to the narrow gravel pad, makes the last 10' feet of the pad unusable if you have slides - this was the case at several of the back-in 50 amp sites. Each site has a firepit and picnic table. Be cautious when using a GPS. My Magellan sent me 3 km past the campground. According to campground staff this is a common occurrence - they might want to consider mentioning this on their website or advising people when they call for a reservation. When turning onto chemin du Lac-des-Sables from Hwy 329, the campground entrance is the first driveway on the left.
