Detailed Reviews
The room was clean and comfortable. In this time of covid pandemic, I appreciated that cups in the room were all individually packed. Room temperature is easily adjustable in the room. The staff team was amazing. Tony in particular was very helpful and he went extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Location-wise, a beautiful running/biking trail along the river is literally a min walking distance away! It’s also close to downtown, several restaurants (wow grill was great!) convenient store and a big grocery store- all within the walking distance.

I am currently staying here and have spent the past 2 nights here, and felt overwhelmingly compelled to write a review. The internet here is fabulous, my room was very clean and well equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the service from the staff here is amazing.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Peace River, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

This is the second worse hotel I have ever stayed in. I needed to stay in Peace River for work and thought it would be as good as other hotels in the chain. I was wrong. It is an old run-down dump. It stank and the bed was broken. The furniture was ratty. The noise from the highway was annoying. But my worst complaint was the screaming from somewhere outside all night long. I kept waiting to hear a gun shot. Definitely not worth $100.

Oh boy where do i start, first when i called two and a half weeks before to book my rooms i was told by a snobby girl that there were none available not convinced i called at night and a friendly lady told me that there were rooms available....go figure then i called a few days later to change my reservation around and they had me down for 3 smoking rooms which was not what i wanted to begin with so they changed that so that was fine i call a week later to make another change and the second time i called i added an extra night so i was planning on staying there for friday and saturday and when i called the third they had only put me down for friday nigh and not saturday....annoyed with the front desk staff i let it go....get to the hotel and friday night i find a USED condom and wrapper in the phone book...utterly disgusted i call down to front desk immediatly to inform them and the only thing they offered was to move me to another room....something that disgusting i was expecting a discount on my room....check out on sunday morning and the assistant manager tells me that the only discount she is authorized to do is $15.00!! so needless to say never again will i stay at this disgusting dingy place.....best canadian motor inn more like worst canadian motor inn!!!

Every year we drive from Yellowknife to Edmonton. Every year we stop at the BCMI in Peace River, because it is the only hotel with a water slide.
Every year we are amazed at the poor condition of the hotel. This year reached new heights!
Our room had several different types of stains on the carpet in the room. It was so bad we wold not let our kids walk on the floor in bare feet.
The door to the room did not open unless you put your shoulder to it. There was mold in the bathroom - a condition we had experienced in years past.
When we asked the staff if we could get another room, they were sympathetic. They told us that all the rooms were the same. They told us they had been asking the owners to replace the carpet in all the rooms but to no avail.
After this visit, we vowed we would never stay there again. Our kids agreed that it would be better to have a clean hotel room than a water slide.

Our arrival at the hotel after a long, hot trip was met with indifference by the check-in staff, who gossiped and chatted while we stood, waiting, in the shabby "lobby". Ultimately, we were given a small, dirty, and incredibly filthy room on the second floor of the property's second building across the street.
I was met with an overpowering stench of thousands of dead cigarettes when I opened the door, and my first trip out was to a strip mall down the street for extra-strength air freshener. I have truthfully never been more revolted by odours in a hotel room.
The unit itself was shabby and dated. It's clear that management has invested no money in property upkeeping for at least several decades; the walls were cracked and peeling, the windows old and jammed, and I actually mistook the many cigarette burns on the carpet to be a decorative pattern.
The unit's air conditioning was broken, and we were told to make to with an ancient fan, which creaked and groaned throughout the night.
The checkout attendant was pretty much uncaring about my numerous comments about the hotel's condition. Tellingly, she did not ask me about my night's stay, and I doubt my complaints were the first she'd ever heard. Just awful.

Had to stay here because everything else in town was booked. I think I'd rather sleep in my truck. What a dump. My coworker had mouse poop in his room, my heater didn't work worth a damn. Parking is not very good.

Room key did not work after check in had to have maintenance come fix it and long with TV remote with no back or batteries. Had no other room for me as they could not confirm that the new room was non smoking. Stayed for 3 nights, the second day there was no maid service done. Second night got to kill 3 ants on the night stand, should be no ants out in northern Alberta in the end of March. Went to check out Sunday morning at 6.30 and there was a homeless person sleep in between the entrance doors and the lobby. Will not be staying here again if I have to go to Peace River again.
