The room we had was small and possibly a but stuffy. I find you can judge a hotel by its bathroom, and in this case the fittings and shower are in excellent shape. Breakfast is included and served in an extension to the main (old) house and it's both filling and well-chosen: half a crepe, fruit, fresh oj, eggs, toast... More

We stayed one night to enjoy the fall colours in the area. The town and lake are very pretty and Augerge Le Coeur d'Or is a good choice to stay in the area. The rooms were cute and comfortable - mattress firm. Personally I prefer a little softer. The included breakfast was excellent with two courses of fruit and egg.... More

Fifteen of us were placed in an awkward "last supper" formation. The preparation (and presentation) of our meals was very good. Great for foodies who like to take pictures of what they're about to consume (??). A moment on the lips . . . a lifetime as pics, I guess. The cuisine was tasty but servings were teeny. Our waitresses... More

We had tickets for a show in the Piggery later in the evening, and mentioned the fact when we made the reservation. We were advised to arrive as soon as the restaurant opened for dinner. We did as suggested and were greeted very cordially. True to their word, the staff made every effort to provide us with excellent service and... More

We found ourselves at the restaurant offered by Auberge Le Coeur d'Or this evening and just loved it. Their offerings (roast duck, roast rabbit, pate de fois gras stuffed with figs, creme carmamel) rival the best of the best restaurants anywhere. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. We recommend it highly to anyone within close proximity... More

This was our second visit to the Auberge du Coeur d'Or and it was our wedding anniversary As before we received a wonderful warm welcome from Carole our hostess, who also took very good care of us in their restaurant. Dominic, our host and excellent chef, prepared two beautiful dinners for us, where we enjoyed rabbit and turkey roulade, and... More

We spent a week under Carole (innkeeper) and Dominic’s (3 star Chef) care at the end of September in la Belle Province de Quebec. It was a glorious time: the daily temperature was cool enough for a light coat in the morning and evening and warm enough for a for just a light shirt during mid-day. Perfect for sightseeing; bicycle... More

This small hotel represents wonderful value. Although the rooms are small they are comfortable. The charm is in the superb restaurant. The husband, chef and his wife who does everything else are both charming and helpful. The food is extraordinary value, beautifully cooked and presented. The five set course menu in the evening includes three extra courses changed every week... More

My husband and I did a quick overnight get away...our first visit with many more to come! We were pleasantly greeted by the owner and her husband (chef extraordinaire!). Our room was clean, charming , quiet and comfortable. Dinner that evening was absolutely amazing. We had an appetizer followed by 4 courses--all were perfectly and deliciously prepared and served. My partner and I were scrambling to find a last minute booking, as our original cottage rental fell through just the evening before departure. We were very grateful to stumble on Le Coeur d'Or who happened to have a room available for the next day. The b&b is a charming restored house surrounded by trees and a beautiful garden. Its...
