Detailed Reviews

We did cycling tour on le p'tit train du nord this August and we found out this paradise in Mont-Tremblant!
The owners are very nice and helpful! They prepared the bracelet and beach towels for the private beach(in 100 meters) after 50km riding we still did free Kayaking and swimming! When we check out was a raining day, they prepare the shower cap for everybody to put it over the helmet! We was deeply touched by them! We love here very much and will be back for the ski! Good luck you find the paradise just like me!

Fabulous B&B to stay at. The Inn itself it very well located. Close to beaches, ski hills and the free municipal bus route. The Inn is undeniably clean and offers a breakfast that is much better than established hotels in the area. The owners are honest, hard working ( especially with staff shortages due to Covid) and compassionate. I had a car accident during my stay and the owner offered any help that I required. I cannot exaggerate how wonderful the experience of staying at the Inn. TRY IT OUT. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED>

This was our 3rd stay at this lovely inn. This time, Aug 2020, we stayed for 5 nights, while exploring the Mont Tremblant area on our bikes and by foot. I must say we were nervous at first, since our 2 previous stays which we loved, had different owners. But, Ren and Fang (the new owners), are wonderful hosts, building on a well-established b and b. They are extremely conscientious with food handling and serving, along with cleaning during this unprecedented time with Covid. We felt very safe, and I would not hesitate to return. The room (#4) was incredibly quiet and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, and Ren was highly creative every morning, serving different egg dishes, with baked goods, along with fresh fruit and yogourt. The coffee is of great quality. Fang and Ren work wonderfully as a team, to provide guests with a stress free, comfortable stay.
Unfortunately, it was quite cool while we were there, and we could not take advantage of free beach or the kayaks and paddle boards. The bike/walking paths are close to the inn and even better is the access just 3km away to the Le Petit Train du Nord for great cycling. We also took advantage of the spa package they offer at Scandinave, which is cheaper than booking directly with the spa. Fang booked our massages and entrance to the spa and billed us directly. Made it extremely easy when we arrived at the spa.
Lelupin is close to an array of wonderful restaurants, and just a short walk to the base of the ski hills with great hiking, shops and restaurants. Thank you Fang and Ren. Your inn helped make our mini vacation, very comforting and relaxing. We hope to return.

The building itself is very nice. The beds are comfortable. The room was clean. My family has stayed here in the past with Pierre and Sylvie, but our experience this time has nothing in comparison with those previous experiences with the previous owner. Here, the rooms smelled of Glade plug-in, which we wonder whether it is put in to cover up other smells. It is a very toxic and disturbing smell, and really ruined our experience in such a nice building with beautiful trees all around. The laminated signs posted everywhere in the rooms to 'not eat in room', do not unplug this cable, you will be charged money for removing makeup with towels really casts really take away from the enjoyable experience for the guests. It makes the hosts appear more suspicious of guests and worried about covering costs than making sure guests have a nice experience.
Lastly, here one no longer gets the a la carte homemade delicious breakfasts like before. Now, it is more like an impersonal cafeteria experience with pastries that are not fresh and straight from the fridge, breakfast sandwiches that have no flavour, and no cereal or granola. The owners here run this place like a youth hostel, with no personality. I will not stay here again. Its a shame considering the b and b's previously very good reputation.

Madame Kristine Kjeldsen, If we need to be sorry about your experience at our auberge, you should be even more sorry that we had the guests like you. If we remember corretly, in spite of our signs, you brought the food and ate in your room. The sauce of spagetti, vin and indistinguishable yellow pulp were spead overall the towels and beds, which smell disgusting. When we requested the compensation for these towels and bed sheet, you erupted into fury and insulted our staff.....Such a "revenge"! You left the malicious evaluations everywhere! YES, we made some adjustments to our auberge, and we are proud of that! If we kept all the traditions from the previous owner, we could not survive while facing the pandemic and high labor costs. We have no choice. We offer more self-service items, such as 24 hours coffee buffet and snacks(free of charge), continental breakfast, self-checkin and checkout. All these adjustments are in order to allow our guests to enjoy preferential prices at the same time, get more convenience! We managed to keep prices at pre-2019 levels, which is the prices the previous owner offered to their guests. And madame Kristine Kjeldsen, please watch your language here! We follow the previous owner's approach, using aromatherapy products to create a pleasant atmosphere. The best brand we could find on the market, Airwick, which is used too to cover up the bad smell you left behind. For your word "toxic", we will reserve the right to prosecute you. In addtion, for our breakfast, we choose the toasts from Le Caveau, the pastries from La Perle Noire and expresso coffee from Coffee Union. Meanwhile, we have the home-made banana and cholocate cake and cheese, egg and bacon sandwich for your choice. Finally, we are glad to have the chance to expose what you did to us! And give a good warning to other auberges. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP! It is a shame having the guests like you, disrespectful and mean.

We went during the 2020 covid pandemic and felt very safe as they follow the rules and procedures. We spend an awesome weekend at this auberge. It’s very well located just outside of the main village and by the lake. We’ve been asked at what time we wanted our breakfast that came right on time to the room in covid safe plates. Breakfast were delightful and copious. Hosts were very friendly and accomodate us with free tea and coffee. To keep the space clean and cozy, all travelers must remove their shoes at entrance to wear slippers. We really felt at home from the get-go. Rooms were very clean and confortable.
I highly recommend this place.

We were on a bike trip on the L'Ptit Tran du Nord and got booked into this auberge some 5k, UPHILL from the bike path itself. There are vey confusing signs at best, and we wound up arriving at dark scared and tired. It took us over an hour to find the place...just like other reviewers. he shed to park and charge an e-bike is not marked, and took a half hour to find despite of a funky Youtube video they'd sent to try and locate.
The auberge itself is only remotely staffed, and plastered with "DON'T" do this signs..No eating in the main room, in your own room, in the breakfast room etc. Which after the trek to get here was just another WTF??
And... the cold breakfast was mediocre at best.
Best advice.... On a bike? get booked at a hotel or inn right by the bike bath rather than at this unwelcoming hard to find spot.

Hi Bonnie W, To begin with, thank you for staying with us and your time to write down your review. We appreciate the chance to respond something different among our 612 good reviews. This is always the favourite part for the travellers, who want to check pur reviews before making a choice! For the past 33 years, Auberge Le Lupin has been serving millions of cyclists perfectly. Even during the hard time, we are still trying to offer more convenience for our cyclists, as a home made Sushi plate with free grocery shopping, a list of restaurants they could walk though…… As a process, we send our hand drawing map to our cyclists(subject: Important information!!! Please read it before check-in.), normally one day before their check-in to show them how to reach us in 3.5 km from the bike trail. Apparently, you would like to spend several hours to find your own way here rather than 10 minutes to check our email. In the same email, there are some great videos with amazing music (composed by me and my friends) to show our cyclists how and where they could store their bikes, where is our 24 hours snack bar with coffee and tea……check that and you will love it! We are sorry that you can not eat in your room, because we offer a better place - our dinning room for you with free coffee, tea and juices! If you were the next guest of the same room, do you want to sleep with the smell of spaghetti? And yes! You can’t drink and sing in our living room after 10pm! Because there are other guests who need a quiet place to stay! We are so sad to hear your comments about our breakfast! As you know, various industries are facing a serious staff shortage and an economic crisis at present. For us, we need to decrease the price to 2019 and at the same time find a solution for our management. Now we are serving continental breakfast with 3 kinds of toasts, 5 kinds of pastries, 2 kinds of jams, 3 kinds of juice, 5 kinds of fruits, boiled eggs, peanut butter, Nutella, butter, yogurt, cheese and ham! Of course we serving 24 hours coffee, tea and snacks! You reserved your room for $158.00 you should feel happy with that! Finally, we are very proud of our services! Becasue we are considerate to every guest. As you told me, in California, it is very dry and with no rain at all, so you do not mind to be wet here. But we still offered you with the shower caps, while you were leaving, to help you a little bit with the unpleasant raining day. We understand your frustration when it rained and you could not find your way while riding, but you have to understand that we have done everything we can. So take back your dirty words and show some respect

We really liked the location of this B&B, the access to the private beach 500m away with all the amenities was also incredible, the hosts were really welcoming, and the sheets and beds were soft and comfortable. However for the price we paid, we felt that the AC didn’t work very well with the hot temperatures especially if you have a room on the top floor and was VERY loud, some things were missing like a TV in the room and more soap as there is only a small bottle. The breakfasts are ok with a lot of fruit and good beverages. All in all we had a great stay but a few things made me put 4/5 instead of a 5. If you want to be close to the village of tremblant though, especially walking distance I would say this is one of your best options.

This was our second stay at Le Lupin when cycling Le P'tit Train du Nord bike trail. It is a scenic 5km ride from the trail. There is a locked shed for bike storage on-site. Perfectly located a short walk from Lac Tremblant (with access to a private beach), it is a pleasant 2km walk to the village or hop on the free bus at the bottom of the road. The lovely quiet garden is a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of the village. Rooms are comfortable and impeccably clean. There is no longer a cooked breakfast due to staffing shortages, but the continental breakfast was perfect with toast, pastries, hard boiled eggs, etc. and there is all-day access to coffee, tea and light snacks. We opted to stay two nights to have a break from cycling and enjoy the sites of Mont-Tremblant. I would recommend this little gem to anyone! Thank you to Ren and Fang for a perfect return visit. Hope to come back next year!

We had a lovely stay here, during a bike trek along P'tit Train du Nord. We got off to a rocky start. You enter a code in a key locker to retrieve your keys. We were aware of this, but were not provided a room number. Other travelers had the same experience. One simply tried each room locker in succession with the combination that they had. Unfortunately, more than one room used the same combination. I believe they ended up with someone else's room. By the time it was my turn, someone beckoned me on the Ring camera/intercom. He told me which was our room. Next, we went to secure our bikes in the locker. One of our bikes was an e-bike and needed power. I found an extension cord but no outlet. I was able to summon someone on the Ring intercom, and he directed me to see if our charger would reach an outdoor receptacle from within the garage. This didn't work. Being handy, I eventually connected a power strip to a receptacle that was in use and get everything connected. It was challenging and stressful, and not what the YouTube video portrayed.
Once that was behind us, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at a nearby restaurant, took in the stunning views of the area. We slept well and in the morning were served up the best breakfast of our trip, including omelets, espresso, fruit, yogurt, and fresh baked goods!

Amazing service! Useful informations from the owner!
Delicious continental breaktast. Best location, 10 more minutes walking to the resort, 2 minutes to the private beach, 2 minutes to the hiking trails!
LeLupin has many of packages on their website, we bought the Gondola tickets, bicycle tour and Scandinave Spa!
We really enjoyed the private beach with free Kayak and pedal boat! Because the business is so good, they don’t have enough access to the beach, only provide it to the directly reservation from their official website. We are lucky, they keep us on the waiting list after few hours we got that bracelet!
We will be back in the winter!

Not sure about rental for rods etc. however there is a centre open year around at the Mont tremblant Park, about 20 min or so from the ski area. At the park there are many small lakes to fish in. My advice is either to connect with them ( they've a good website) or ask Pierre , owner of Le Lupin as he is very knowledgable of the things around the area. He will probably research it out for you as well, as he did for our summer activities. Good luck!
Our beds are all queen size Simmons Beautyrest with no pillow top. We have a lot of compliments from our guests for the quality of the sleeping they have when they stay with us.
Pierre,
owner and keeper
We are only one km from the ski hill and pedestrian village of Tremblant. It is a 15 minutes walk. There is also a local bus, the bus stop is at the corner of our street.
