Amazing place (I had the Captain's suite (top floor). The decor is meticulous, The management is so helpful - multi-lingual - knowledgeable and full of energy! The location of this Auberge is perfect; great nearby historical trails, close to downtown (good eating places) and right by the St Laurent Seaway, marina, mall (with a good restaurant inside). Five minutes drive to the ferry to "la Cote Nord" (not most reliable ferry in Quebec). With aall I have said, you would imagine its very expensive! Wrong, its very affordable for a 5 star first class amazing place! You just got to go!

Lovely room in a heritage home. Every detail and comfort was included in a beautifully appointed room. The breakfast was excellent and served in a bright and elegant dining room. Thank you for a perfect stay.

We recently spent a night at Auberge Bruine Oceane. We stayed in their basement room. One might balk at staying in a basement suite, but we chose it for the king size bed. We were not disappointed. The room was very spacious with an en suite bath. The shower had a rain head, body jets and a hand wand. The bed was very comfortable. You would never know you were in the basement. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning to catch the ferry, so were unable to enjoy the breakfast. A nice addition would be a 'to go' breakfast for those who find themselves taking the early ferry.

Sonia is a wonderful host. The rooms are excellent, clean, comfortable, the breakfast is outstanding, in terms of service and quality of food. The bed was very comfortable. Recognizing our somewhat limited ability in the French language, Sonia offered to make dinner reservations for us both nights. If coming way again, we would stay here.

Well what can I say, we arrived on July 15/2020 Sonia received us with such joy and very very nice , showed us our top room Loft we had for 2 days , room was amazing 5 star and very clean and sanitized, view of the the St Lawerence, AC was very cool as the weather was unusually humid there , we added her breakfast for the first day and were going to venture out for our second day at a Restaurant for our second day for breakfast, but totally declined that after eating her breakfast, was unbelievable food , and she was so accommodating for anything we needed , everything fresh and homemade , I have never been received with such pleasure as this woman , she owns the place and works very hard and is spot on with her cooking and taking care of people, if I could give this place 6 stars out of 5 I would. Definitely will be back, her place wouldn’t hold a candle to any other hotel in the area def a must stay place.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌟

I stayed here for one night in September. My room was on the second floor, up a flight of stairs. The room was nicely decorated, with lots of space and a big bathroom. The wifi worked well. It was an easy walk to downtown Matane. The staff was friendly and it was nice to have encouragement to practice my French. Breakfast was an extra cost, but it was a good meal.

Loved our stay here! We had a large room on the second floor with a fantastic en-suite ... we had been cycling in the rain so the gorgeous shower and tub were much appreciated. The spacious room was really lovely. The owner/operator helped us with our French (with humour), gave us a lovely walking route around town, and served an amazing breakfast...all delivered with contagious enthusiasm.

Beautiful old-style house with nice décor, staff was very kind. Not too noisy for a wood-made house. Clean rooms, excellent wifi signal strength and a cool view to the river. I'll no doubt stay again in my next business trip!
