Proximity to town is best feature and Lunenberg is charming. Campsites small and washroom facilities old. Staff friendly. Wifi not great. Lower lot had grass, upper gravel and dirt. All in all just okay.

Sites are very close and pull through ground is unsettled(after 2 days rv went out of level). Utilities are poorly arranged in relation to 5th wheel proximity. I had extensions so it wasn't an issue for me. Don't advertise free WiFi if the speed is 2.4G and unreliable.

My family spent one night here in June while visiting the area. For the price paid ($57), the facilities should be better and showers should be free (we have since stayed in other campgrounds that cost half the price and had free hot showers). We had a site by the water and, while pretty, I would not want to be here in summer when the sites are likely all full - there is very little to no space between sites. Definitely more of an RV campground. On the bright side, the owners are very pleasant and the location, close to Lunenburg, is good.

This is an old campground with narrow tight lots. The pull through sites need work. More mud than grass. It is close to Luneburg, Mahone Bay and Bridgewater. No real wifi. They gave me a password but could not connect even standing by the office. A lot of seasonal campers.

My wife and I came down on a rainy Friday evening, expecting the weather to be nicer through the weekend. We reserved a lake side site for the view. It's raining so we tend to stay inside and play cards and watch some TV when it's like this. The wifi near the lake is terrible, especially inside the camper for my fire stick. It's unwatchable because it doesn't connect well and it drops off if it connects at all. I'm using data to write this because the wifi won't work well enough to get on this site. The owners seem nice, but if having decent wifi at a campground is important to you, either choose a site here that isn't near the lake or just go somewhere else all together. I'm assuming it's not as bad closer to the main gate, who knows. It's just terrible where I am this evening in the rain, near the lake.…

The campground seems to be 3 1/2 distinct areas: the first section is RVs with friendly folks that spend the summer there, second area appears to be short term RV hookups. There’s a nice looking pool (closed now) and common room for activities. Third is the tent area which has a great location by the lake but the spots are laid out in two rows with no trees/vegetation between spots. Lastly is the ‘hut’...the fact that we had a rough night is certainly partly on us. I hadn’t thought to ask if there was a heater when we checked in and the office was closed when we did think of it. We did not bring enough blankets in from our truck so the night was very cold! The mattress was thin and uncomfortable and I’d wished I’d thought to swap it with the upper bunk mattress. The structure is truly a shed about 12x12 with a double-bed bunk, sink, small fridge and table and couch. For a warm summer stay it’s probably a good inexpensive, no frills, pet friendly option. The outhouse between the hut and the tent sites is one I would only use in an emergency. The bathroom/shower area by the RVs and pool was warm, modern and clean. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming. …

The location is very convenient as it is only 4 minutes away from Lunenburg. Everyone around here is friendly, and they hold fun events during weekend and everyone should join them!! the washrooms and campsites are clean and the lake side view at night was gorgeous.

We were a tour group of 24 big rigs, mostly towing cars. Since our other reservation had been cancelled by the city these folks were kind enough to get is all spots. A new family has taken over ownership and management of the place two seasons ago and had completed many improvements, sewers, new washrooms many new sites. The family worked very hard to make sure our stay was pleasant. Last evening we were trying to light a campfire with wood we bought in town that was not dry enough. A season camper named Walt came over with hardwood that solved our problem. Very nice of him

This campsite looks like a junk yard, and that is a compliment. The parking bays are rough, and the place is covered in overturned furniture. The facilities are poor, but the WiFi just about works. We booked from the UK, and I hope that the rest of the sites we booked are better.

I want to say right away that I had a great experience. I've been to many campgrounds in Ontario and Nova Scotia, and I will be honest many of them are not any different from one another. However, this campground really made my weekend by providing great service and fair prices, which is not common. In addition, the site was very clean with very wonderful views. 10 out of 10 would come again. (added by my kids)
