Quite distinctive furnishings and an incredible art collection made this inn a real treat. Then there was breakfast that was totally beautiful and delicious. I have never had such a superb breakfast at an inn...it was memorable. Kudos to Barry! Every spot in the inn has something for the eye...and over our short visit we kept discovering new pieces to view. Our room was charming and well stocked with everything we needed and more...plus, another gallery of art. The room was a bit small though for us and our luggage. We managed as we felt privileged to stay at the Water Sprite, but would like to stay in one of the larger rooms next time. Barry recommended a wonderful restaurant in town, but also provided snacks for us to enjoy before our dinner with our wine. Again...perfect host and chef.

We travelled literally thousands of miles for our honeymoon, and the Water Sprite B&B was definitely the best stay we had during our entire trip. We stayed in the Mainsail room I believe it was called (the one with the large bathtub), and we got an amazing night's sleep. Barry and Brad were quick to give us recommendations in the area. On that note, there is a super convenient brochure in the room that appears put together by Barry/Brad that shows all of the restaurants in the area along with their menus AND TripAdvisor ratings.. this is not something I am used to, and is definitely a nice touch for someone like me who normally has to scour TripAdvisor and redirect to countless websites for menus. All that said, the real star of the show was Barry's multi-course Michelin-quality breakfast. Without question the best breakfast of our entire trip (possibly the best meal period). I'm not sure if this is a Canada b&b thing, but we've never experienced a breakfast like this in America at a B&B (and this isn't the first time we've had such a stellar breakfast at a Canadian B&B). Some other items of note: -we had a magnificent view of the harbor from our deck -wonderful luxurious bedding and towels were provided. Along with the bathtub it was like a personal spa -everything in town is walkable from the Inn -interesting art pieces on display in the room and common areas -nice intimate setup... Seems there is a maximum of one other group that will stay the same time as you I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back!

As experience travelers we consider this to be the best B&B we have stayed at. The amenities, the service, the food, the ambience and the outlook are all exceptional and definitely worth 'a detour'. We stayed 2 night and regret not arranging to stay longer. The breakfasts are worthy of a Michelin starred restaurant. Well done Barry and Brad.

Superb room and bathroom, gorgeous view of Harbour and Lunenburg old town (UNESCO heritage), the best breakfast we ever had. A superb Service. The only Problem - we could not stay longer. If you have a Chance - go there, ask for the room towards the Harbour, and book at least one nicht longer than you have planned to stay in Lunenburg.
