The rooms were very cute and spotless. Lovely and affordable hotel for our visit to Lunenberg. Minute drive to town and definitely walkable. Beautiful view with beach access. Would definitely return and recommend to all.

We stayed in one of the cottages for 3 nights. We actually wanted a 5-night stay but they were sold out. I would love to return and spend at least two weeks in one of the cottages. The owner, Markus, was friendly and we enjoyed several conversations with him. We had everything we needed including fantastic views of the sea just across the road. Our cottage had a/c, kitchen necessities, a comfortable bed, and a porch with outdoor seating/table. You can walk across the road and access the rocky shore, made for a nice walk. A large fire pit and chairs face the sea. The location is ideal, less than 5 minutes from Lunenburg, but far enough to be super quiet. We loved everything about our stay.

We arrived at the motel around 6:30pm (check-in had been indicated at booking to be between 6 and 7pm). One of the owners was very friendly, waved and said hello as we approached the office. The man who checked us in was extremely rude, saying "you're the last one" as he approached. While my partner was the one paying for the room and asking questions, he refused to look at her and directed all questions and responses to me. When asked how the wifi was, as my partner had an important meeting the following morning, he replied "I have no idea". Again at checkout, I went to drop the keys in the drop box. He shouted from his porch that he will take them as "we're going to have to clean the room". Cute motel room. Small but with most amenities. Convenient to get to Lunenburg if you have a car but wouldn't recommend a walk with luggage. Otherwise extremely inhospitable host. Many friendly folks in Lunenburg to better give your business to.

The Atlantic View is a gem of a little nest for relaxing between day trips in this part of Nova Scotia. We have stayed several times for multiple days both in the motel suite and in the Lily Pond cottage. We have appreciated the quiet, peaceful setting after visiting sites in the busy towns of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. It is convenient for day trips to the most beautiful beaches on the South Shore. But on return, we equally enjoyed the more wild, natural rocky shore at Mason's Beach itself. A bonus surprise was seeing the Bluenose II sail into view around the point as it left Lunenburg harbour. This is not a "ritzy" resort, if that's what you prefer. This is a charming, well-maintained, clean and very comfortable, cozy accommodation with a very homey feel and a most friendly staff.

We were extremely happy to find this cottage at the last minute! It was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated and the location was terrific! It had everything we could possibly want. A huge bonus for us was how quiet it was and close to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. I hope to go back again!

Great little cottages, very clean. Owners are very helpful and even offered full access to their workshop and joined in to help repair a damaged trailer hitch on our Canam Spyder. Great location two minutes from Lunenburg with great riding.

The room is fine. The wifi is iffy. The motel is located just a few minutes beyond a high hill overlooking Lunenberg. This same high hill provides one of the best glimpses of old town Lunenberg. The motel itself does have nice views of the Atlantic Ocean as well as a pond behind the rooms.

We stayed two nights in July and were very happy with our stay. We had the Atlantic View, one of the bigger cottages and it had 2 double beds, a full kitchen, couch, closet area, full bathroom and beautiful covered deck with access to a BBQ. The owner was very accommodating. These cottages are clean. Even the fridge was spotless. TV, internet and air conditioning! Located ready close to downtown Lunenburg. Oh there's a fireplace for those who can stay up late. :)

Husband and I stayed in the Blue Heron cottage for 2 nights in July. This is a small 1 room cottage with the bed and kitchen/eating area open to each other. Open wall shelving contains dishware and glassware along with some kitchen staples (coffee, tea, sugar, etc.). There is also a sink and small bar fridge. A small TV is on the kitchen counter and was hard to see from the bed. The bathroom is also quite small. There is a rod and short shelf next to the bed. Having said that, the decor is lovely, the unit was clean and there is a heat pump to provide AC. A fire pit and several Adirondack chairs are on the lawn in front of this unit. There was a “no trespassing” sign across the street in front of the beach. There was also some road construction nearby that delayed us going to/from Lunenberg, but this is certainly no reflection on the motel. As we were on a 2 week vacation, it was difficult to store our luggage given the size of the cottage, but we made it work for two nights. If you like some room to move around, I’d suggest a 2 bedroom unit instead.

We stayed in the queen suite and I loved the space. It was nicely decorated with a beautiful room. The man I spoke with in the office was very friendly and helpful. Everything you might typically need is provided in the kitchen including coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, and even dish soap. My husband was disappointed not to have air conditioning and that the tv was small but neither of those are priorities for me so I was very pleased with the space. The living space has a nice little couch and table and chairs. It was nice to have living space separate from the bedroom.

Room Tip: There's a small playset on site and don't miss the pretty view of the pond in back.
