We stayed in the Flying Jib room on October 1 -3, 2018 - all I can say is it was super! Room was large with beautifully restored furniture and a very comfortable bed. Loved the steam shower, The host was friendly, gracious & full of information. Location was perfect with shopping, great restaurants & the ocean right on the doorstep. Would definitely be a do again!
Chris and Dan were were very welcoming when we arrived. We had beautiful big room. We had an air conditioner in our and it keep things cool as it was hot!!. The breakfasts that Dan made were wonderful. Chris gave us a map and places to eat. We enjoy our stay and we will try to come back. J&L Manitoba
Innkeeper Chris was welcoming and informative. Note the inn has only stairs - no elevator - so carrying your luggage is required. There is parking in the rear. Street noise is an issue as the Inn is located on the main street. A noise masking machine and the air conditioner help. The two suites are large and comfortable. We would have preferred two beds instead on the queen.
We’ve just spent two wonderful nights here. Lunenburg is a beautiful town with lots of places to see and things to do, and this exceptional B&B blended in perfectly. The hosts were very welcoming, full of advice and helpful tips. Free parking and fast free WiFi. Our room, the Flying Jib, had a very comfortable four poster bed, with nets, there were two comfy chairs with a table, good lighting, a ceiling fan, air conditioning and a really clean good bathroom with nice shower. Antique ornaments from around the African continent adorned the walls, and the views from the three large windows, especially down to the harbour, was excellent. Breakfast was supplied in a box which was kept in the refrigerator overnight so we could rise and eat at any time we wanted in the morning. Boiled egg, smoked salmon, fruit, yoghurt, cake, croissant, jam, and plenty of tea and coffee which we made in the percolator. We thought the breakfast to be quite unique, and we loved it. Overall, a really excellent stay and highly recommended. …

we visited Chris & Dan 13 years ago and just had the chance to visit again -I must say 13 years later and it is still just as Fabulous as before-the B& B is Gorgeous-and the breakfast box was new and delicious! Hope to visit again real soon.
Stayed here for 2 nights in June on our trip round Nova Scotia. Arrived in Lunenburg and quickly found the beautiful blue Addington Arms b&b. Chris was such a welcoming host and explained all the pertinent info, showed us round our suit (spankersail suite) and also gave us a map with the best places marked on. 10/10 for her recommendation of the Knot pub... we ate there twice! The suite itself was spacious and well decorated and clean. There was a bedroom, lounge and modern bathroom. The lounge in particular had a lovely view across the bay. The bed was very comfy and it was nice to chill out and really feel at home. Although not a typical b&b breakfast, the lovely bento boxes were delivered into your room fridge to have as and when you liked in the morning. Thought and care obviously went into them as they contained delicious smoked salmon, boiled eggs, seaweed, lots of fruit, and sweet treats such as a cinnamon bun! But if you are looking for the typical eggs and bacon type breakfast there are plenty of cute places around. Would highly recommend and Chris was an absolute charm. Thank you from sarah and Garry. First off the room was really nice. We stayed in the Flying Jib room. The view of the bay was nice but only if sitting in the bed or standing by the window. But the flooring and the bathroom were particularly nice. The seating area just doesn’t take advantage of the view. Would not recommend this place if you want a true B&B experience. Breakfast comes in form of a bento box that felt more like quick lunch than breakfast. It was definitely impersonal. A B&B experience generally brings people together in the dining room or somewhere of the like, at either separate tables or all at one. Coffee, conversation and a nice warm breakfast is part of the experience. Don’t book here if this is what you want. We were a bit disappointed. The owners stated the breakfast was very healthy. It may be a good idea to try and discover how to make a healthier breakfast that is homemade and tasty. Otherwise you’re really just renting an overpriced room.…
We stayed at the Addington for 2 nights. Our accommodations were perfect - a cozy suite with a view of the harbor. Well appointed, comfortable bed and right in the heart of this historic and picturesque town. Chris, our hostess, was welcoming and warm and gave us great recommendations on where to eat. Highly recommend and will return!
My husband and I traveled here in August 2016 (TripAdvisor wouldn't let me select that date), and I've been meaning to write a review for over a year. Though this review is a bit late, the memory of our stay has not faded one bit, and I wanted to take the chance to share our experience. This was our "second honeymoon" as our work schedules did not allow us to travel beyond a couple of days when we got married the previous year. We randomly decided to visit Nova Scotia because we wanted something peaceful and relaxing. We chose Addington Arms because it got great reviews, and we could not have been more pleased. Everything from the warm welcome upon arrival (Chris told us all we needed to know, even though we arrived late in the evening), to the delicious breakfasts unrivaled by any other B&B, to the comfortable bed and spacious suite (Spankersail), to the peace and quiet throughout the night, made this the ideal place for a retreat. I can't say enough about the breakfasts. They were PERFECT and unique, with different offerings each day, served in several courses beginning with a light dish of yogurt and berries. Everything is fresh, clean, and truly enjoyable. I've traveled extensively through the U.S. and Europe and never had a breakfast this good! We stayed a full week and by the end, this place truly felt like home, and I was sad to leave. I hope we can return someday in the future. ~M&K, Ohio…
