Owner Tim was most helpful in making a reservation. Wonderful harbour view of the Bluenose II from our room. Spotlessly clean and comfortable! Suggestion for breakfast at the Savvy Sailor was appreciated.

The location of the Inn is perfect. You are right on the centre of Lunenburg with a view of the harbour. Our greeting by the manager was welcoming, although the strict, no check in before 4 may be a little too regimented. The room is sad, and in need of a serious refurbishment. Worn carpet, stains, a window that wont open, too many things to list. The price is too high for the quality of the room. I hope this lovely location gets some TLC soon!

Súper extra mega late check-in (after 4) with the excuse they want to I force all the safety protocols and mesures against COVID, but the front desk woman is not wearing a mask and the bed in my room is dirty with stinks, what makes me thing that they didn’t actually cleaned. The in house restaurant is going to be close all 2021. In the good side it’s a great location, near all what is good to check here. They said is a “quiet” Inn but, we have been here for 15 min and I already have juicy gossip from downstairs, in front and next to me

Reading other reviews honestly makes me wonder if the reviewers stayed at the same Inn. I will say, the positive parts of our stay included a nice big comfortable king bed, beautiful view of the marina and great central location. We booked a ‘king suite’ (it wasn’t a suite.) The bad part: REALLY run down, old stained carpet, the AC/heating unit was FILTHY with mould, the bathroom has never been updated (old mildew stained tub), door didn’t shut and the room just really smelled musty. The owner is a nice man, we told him that it was in dire need of many updates and repairs and he listened but didn’t care enough to adjust our 300.00 bill for our night’s stay. But that’s fine-we really wouldn’t return anyway.

We booked the rumrunner online for our honeymoon, a few days before we received a welcome email with activity’s to do around the area. The rumrunner is right in the middle of everything, with everything in walking distance, the fishing museum, boat tours, shops and restaurants. With lunenburg being a beautiful historical place building’s are old and well kept including the rumrunner hotel. We had the honeymoon suite with had a king size bed that was very comfortable and a heavier duvet perfect for September nights. The room had a inclosed deck with incredible views of the harbour which was also perfect for the cool September evening to sit out and enjoy with a glass of wine. This hotel is very quiet day and night, clean and with friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend and…

Our wonderful experience started when we were greeted like family at the door by Tim, the owner. From there it just kept being better than we could expect. He knows everything about what to do, where to go, places to eat, and delivers all this with a smile. Its a wonderful little home away from home!

We stayed at the Rum Runner Inn for 1-night in late-Sep ($250). We chose a 2nd floor king room for its private deck overlooking the Fisheries Museum and with views down the harbour, something it delivered in spades. It was a great spot for sipping drinks sitting in the Adirondack chairs on a sunny afternoon. The room itself was large, with a comfortable bed, chest of drawers housing the mini-refrigerator and large high-definition TV, a small table with a coffee maker, a circular table with 2 chairs, and a nice stuffed chair. While modern in many respects, the room was surprisingly dated or deficient in others: the bathroom was small and with limited toiletries, older decor and worn fixtures; there was a stale musty smell to the room; and the TV that, while 1st rate in quality,…
