We decided to stay in Lunenburg instead of Halifax and it was a great decision. This is a very nice B&B. The rooms are nice and you don't hear the other guests. The owners are quite nice too. The husband (Bob) seems a little gruff at first impression, but he's not after you get to know him. The wife (Rosanna)...

If no-one answers the bell, walk in and shout "Hello" and your most welcoming stay in Lunenburg will begin. We were given advice on what to see in town during our short stay, and were even lent the coveted "Walking Tour Guide". Word has it you aren't allowed to leave until you return it. Our room was lovely - the...

This is a lovely B&B 3 streets away from the harbour. Great location, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast that was tasty and filling and the people who run this are very friendly and informative. They have done an excellent job renovating this old building. The only suggestion would be to ensure you know before you book that there is no air...

I was so happy to find Greybeard's B&B when I was in Lunenburg! My hosts, Bob and Rosanna welcomed me to their home and were able to recommend local events including a ceilidh which was very enjoyable and a farmer's market which was full of not only produce but also local crafts. They were able to recommended activities for different...

If you are looking for a unique and homey stay in a UNESCO celebrated landmark, stay at Greybeards B & B. My Lunenburg room was great and I slept like a log. Two parlours were available for relaxing, reading and visiting. Rose was the hostess with the most interesting stories and we discovered a mutual friend in Saskatoon, SK. This...

We stayed at Greybeards for two nights recently and had a wonderful time. The breakfasts were amazing (stuffed French toast one morning and spinach squares with lobster sauce the next). Each morning you were presented with a quick bread at your table and whatever you didn't finish, they packed it up for you to take with you as a snack...

Bob & Roseanna were wonderful hosts, cooks and present a well-kept B&B without overcharging on the rooms. We were delighted with the food, the coffee was special, they accommodated my mom's vegan, no-dairy & gluten intolerant impossible diet graciously, the food is definitely over and above most B&B's we've stayed in. The house has a wonderful captain's history, the rooms...

Lunenburg is a true treasure as a World Heritage site, somehow having never gotten popular and rich enough that the houses were reconstructed, nor poor enough that the houses fell to ruin. Instead many have been loving restored including the Lunenburg "bump" (make the trip to learn more about this unique architectural feature). Bob and Rosanna have restored this home...

My mother & I were only suppose to spend one night in Lunenburg, but upon arrival at the village and our B & B (Greybeard's) we decided to change our itinerary and begged to stay another night with them. The village & Greybeard's are historic landmarks. We enjoyed staying with Bob and Roseanna who were both very friendly and accommodating....

“We had the Lunenburg Room which has a washbasin in the room and a small shower-room with toilet in the corner. No problem with traffic noise, Lunenburg is quite quiet at night in Greybeard's area.”
