Located right in the middle of the main restaurant and bar strip everything was really close by. Our room was very large for a B&B and the bathroom was huge. The place was a tasteful blend of old would but with modern furnishings and equipment. The room was immaculately clean.Breakfast was tasty, fresh and plentiful. We paid a little more for this fantastic B&B but we were so glad that we did.

The Sail Inn is a wonderful B&B located in the heart of Lunenburg. Location couldn't be better. The owner, Kevin, is very friendly and cooks a good breakfast! Our room upstairs was spacious and tastefully decorated. The Sail Inn doesn't have a lot of rooms so it felt like we had the place to ourselves! We had a great view over the harbour and the bathroom was perfect. We would love to come back and stay again!

We stayed just one night as part of a Nova Scotia sisters' road trip. We had a big room on the ground floor with a huge ensuite bathroom, and a separate kitchen alcove with sink, microwave and fridge. The room overlooked the main street, but shutters provided privacy. An in-window air conditioning unit provided relief from the summer heat, but was noisy at night. Our host, Kevin, cooked us a beautiful breakfast, served in the basement kitchen/dining room. Good value.

Kevin was a wonderful host. The B&B is central with great views of the harbour. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I was able to drop my bags off early, which was a great help. Kevin cooks up a great breakfast!

Excellent location, very comfortable, hosts are very pleasant. Contactless check in was a breeze. Room was very spacious as well as the bathroom and the kitchen. Hosts’ attention to little details made us feel special. Cleanness was superb. Excellent breakfast too.

A wonderful one-night stay in this modest B&B in the quaint/peaceful town of Lunenburg. Sail Inn is located just a block away from the wharf and in the heart of restaurants, shops and galleries. We booked a room on the top floor facing the ocean and enjoyed nice water views above the buildings across the street. We could even get a glimpse of the famous Bluenose II racing ship. (See photos) The room was nicely sized and had a large bathtub/shower. The A/C worked well and the bed was comfortable. There is no elevator so be prepared to climb a large set of stairs from the back/parking lot, or two smaller sets of stairs from the front/lobby of the property. The hosts were gracious and friendly. We were given some choices to make for breakfast the night before, including our preferred time. The next morning, we were provided a cooked-to-order hot breakfast including (for me) some nice smoked salmon to go with my eggs. That was a treat. The host also served Vietnamese egg rolls (cha gio) that he made himself--nicely crisp and a fun addition to breakfast. The one note I would make is regarding parking. There are three parking spots directly behind the building ) enter a very narrow pathway just below the building as you drive down the one-way street, but if you have a larger car or one without great traction on your tires, it may be hard to maneuver, especially if there are already cars parked in two of the spaces. We ended up dropping off our luggage in the back and then driving back down to look for street parking. We found a nice street space 2 blocks away that had no parking restrictions for overnight. That worked out fine, and the streets did seem safe there. We scoped out other Inns and hotels in the area and believe you can't do much better than the ocean-view rooms at Sail Inn.

This quaint B&B is conveniently located near the wharf - perfect for exploring this unique town, right from your door. The owners are lovely and welcoming- we felt well cared for. Breakfast was amazing with smoked salmon, bacon, all the fixings and included a touch of their native fare. All delicious. Our room was clean, updated and charming. Highly recommend.

Kevin, our host, was amazing. He cooked up a breakfast for us, custom to our liking. the location is perfect, the rooms were huge and immaculate and the bathroom and soaker tub were FANTASTIC! Most comfortable bedding and fluffy towels I've experienced in a B&B I'd recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for comfort, cleanliness, location and great service!

Taking time off from our B&B we decided to visit Lunenburg. After reading all the wonderful reviews, we booked in Sail inn B&B. We were welcomed by by the friendly owner. Because of the holiday he gave us a list of opened restaurant. We would highly recommend this place. Clean, spacious and great shower. Thanks for the nice stay, keep up the good work.
