I had a absolutely wonderful stay here, lovely place, wonderful hosts. Don't bother with the other hotels in GFW as they are old and not well kept. Not the case with the Carriage House Inn. It's well kept, very clean with comfortable, good size rooms and great beds. The host are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included in your...

A well-maintained house-expanded-into-an-inn, and a great place to break a journey across Newfoundland, with easy access from the TCH, but a quiet, suburban location. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with large-screen tv/dvd player, full climate controls, and whirlpool tub (although wi-fi was iffy; and another window or two would have been nice). But pleasant public spaces, friendly/efficient owners, a...

Pros: The hostess was very friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable. Homemade breakfast was served between 7 and 9 and was delicious. There is free Wi-fi, which was a good speed and they provide guests with a DVD player with which you can watch a movie from their extensive movie collection in the lobby. Cookies, tea, and coffee were also...

We spent two nights in room ONE, directly under the stairs to the second floor. Guests would clunk up and down while wearing street shoes....slippers should be worn past the front door, as with most B & B's. The walls were very thin and we could hear beds creaking, foot steps, people using toilets and then flushing.....not a nice experience....

We recently stayed at this location while on vacation. Overall it was a good stay. The rooms were large and very clean. Almost all had own bathrooms and beds were very comfortable. This location has many amenities and some not available in many B & B's, which can be viewed on their web page. A couple of particular interest were...

I was disappointed that the hostess never gave you any information before placing the breakfast in front you. I think a short description of what she was serving would give the guest the opportunity to accept or decline the breakfast, mostly for the reason of allergies or even combinations of foods. This was not a cheap B and B ....

Lovely rooms, each one unique and charming. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Excellent breakfast cooked and served by our hosts. Laundry machines available. Two sitting areas to relax. Very restful and well located for travelling across the province.

We stayed at this B&B for two nights. It is close to the Trans-Canada Hwy and close to the friends were were visiting. We thought the place was beautiful with hardwood floors and air conditioning (not usually necessary in Newfoundland, but it was hot while we were staying there). Our room (room #3) had a nice ensuite, but the shower...

We stayed here twice on our trip as the drive from St. John's to the west side and back was longer than we wanted to do in a single day. The B and B is very clean and the breakfast tasty. We enjoyed the walk along the water. The winding path took you along the water and into the woods....
