This was the cheapest motel in Fort Nelson and we only needed it to get some rest from 10 hours of driving. The owners were very accommodating and wifi was not so bad. The rooms were outdated but I wouldn't complain.

The room was clean and tidy and easily accessed on the ground level from outside. It had a microwave, frig and hotel coffee maker. It had a prevalent cigarette odor to it. The location is within walking distance of a nice restaurant. $10 extra for a pet. The motel has free wifi, but we couldn't connect from the room we... More

This is the cheapest motel in town. A good place to sleep and very friendly. We did 4 loads of wash for our 3 kids and 2 adults on our long road trip. Of course the wash cost money but at least it was right there near the room. I like the parking, as you can park right next to... More

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the rooms are surprisingly spacious, the WiFi works well considering how remote it is and the people at the front desk were very nice. We were very happy with our stay; we were exhausted from driving and slept well. Great value for the price.

Definitely not a luxury hotel, but the beds were new pillow-top mattresses with comfy sheets. Wi-fi is free. Plenty of hot water, and clean floors and bathroom. There is a Dominos right across the street. What more can you ask for? The couple who own it are friendly and adorable.

Fort Nelson in British Columbia is not known for bargains, and that includes accommodation. A pleasant exception is the Shannon Motel at the north-west end of town. It's the first hotel on your right as you enter Fort Nelson, coming down the Alaska Highway from the north, or the last hotel, on your left, as you leave town, heading north.... More

Cheapest at $76 for the night. Just needed a few hours sleep and a shower. The bedding seemed clean. The bathroom was mostly clean. Linens are threadbare. Surfaces and floors were very dirty. (Hair, dust, and old boot prints) The remote "safety/theft string" made me laugh. I'm thrifty and Ft. Nelson is always overpriced so next time I'll bring a... More

This was our second stop from Palmer, AK to Brainard, MN. The rooms were clean and the bed was amazing!!! We weren't expecting such a nice bed! This was a great stop as it was open late, accepted pets and had free WiFi!

My husband and I were traveling through Canada on our move from Alaska to Texas and rolled into town late that evening. A waitress told us to try The Shannon Hotel since we had dogs. The owner was super sweet and was very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and clean. Two nice comfortable queen beds and plenty of room for... More

I've stayed here numerous times in the past, and I've had enough. Here's my two main reasons I'll never be back. 1) They now want to photo-copy your Drivers License and Credit Card. The broken english reason that I understand is they are not able to return your damage deposit otherwise. Which is $100.00. Two words immediately came to mind.... More
