My family and I checked in late last night and it looked really nice from the outside. Sign said from $99 but cheapest room was the $125 we paid!!! My 2yr old was already asleep so I pulled back the sheets on the single to find the pillow stained with dry blood not just a drop but a substantial amount, the night staff lady was alerted and very apologetic. There was water stains over the roof, mould in the bathroom and hair over the basin shelf and walls >.< we all slept in the main bed as I refused to let my child sleep where the blood stained pillow was found. The TV had no signal and By morning the room had a strong damp smell to it. We immediately packed our stuff and spoke with reception that stated the owner would call when he was in. The only thing this place had going for it was the view of the golf course!!! I've stayed in back packers with higher standards....

We stayed here and had read some reviews before booking but thought we would try it. Room was ok, very tired and rather worn looking. All the crockery had to be washed as dirty and in the tray with the tea and coffee there was a spoon which had been used left in a puddle of coffee. On the shower floor my partner trod on a safety razor safety cover, left from the last customer. There was human hair on the carpet and eveything just looked grubby. We will not be staying here again.

This is the worse place I have ever stayed at. I beleive these units need to be reviewed by the council and motel association as they are so unhygenic. They are not cleaned in between quests. The showers are so dirty that I wouldnt even wash in there. The sheets were clean but everyhing else was filthy - food on chairs, mould thru out the bathroom, hadnt seem a vacuum cleaner in months and dont look under the bed as the grim is cm thick. The fire sprinkler falling off the roof - an attempt to duck tape it to the ceiling had failed and this was in the disavled unit. Also in that room the door shlo ked the disabled couple inside and no one coukd get in or out. The owner said just put a chair behind it - great for those disabled and access is already a challenger. Please close this place down until they can clean it and health and safety compliance issues are addressed.

Picked motel more for location then anything else.
A big mistake, one will never make again.
While we were not going to spend a lot of time in unit, we found the 21" TV very small for room. Only 3 sky channels, maybe the only motel in NZ without 50+
The fridge had to be unplugged each night otherwise no sleep , sounded like a train going through the unit. We left the fridge out on last day as I have never seen such a pile if dirt, dust and I think an old lollipop there. Fridge door was rusty and top of it looked like it was melting
We had unit 10, a 1 bedroom unit set up for 4 guests however the only sitting was 2 barstools, what a joke and if 4 stayed not enough plates, cups etc
Bedroom, black hair on wall, filthy shower and a toilet seat that was no the correct size for bowl and moved all over the place.
Bed was ok at best.
This motel i think is also used for government housing, and yes cars coming and going all night, people outside talking.

We will never, never stay again. If we could give a minus we would have as we believe a 1 star 🌟 is too high

I’ve been staying at Golflands Motel for a couple of months now..
it’s with sadness and regret that I’m moving out soon into my own house.

Having traveled all through NZ staying in motels.
I was extremely surprised and astonished with Golflands Motel.

Lynn who runs the motel is an absolute gem 💎

She ensures that all her guests are treated with respect and she constantly makes sure that all her guests needs are met.

Her kindness helpfulness and friendliness is a 10/10 you need something you ask for it and Lynn snd het staff will help you with efficiency and a big smile.

They put all their guests needs care safety first making sure that everyone is comfortable and satisfied.
The staff is always smiling friendly and very helpful.

And to top it off it’s located in a prime location.
You have Botany Town Centre 2 min away most take aways close enough to walk. Countdown 2 min away.

The Motel is literally right smack in the middle of all shopping centres ... Restaurants .. Ice Rink.and bowling fun centre.

The rooms are great clean comfortable.. it’s just right and with reasonable rates

You can’t go wrong.. don’t take my word for it ..
next time you need a friendly comfortable motel try
Golflands Motel and Speak to Lynn.

If I could I’ll be happy to stay here permanently 😂🙃 🏩🛎 🛌💤

Thank you Lynne and staff you guys are truly amazing and I’ll keep on coming back here.

Now I wasn’t expecting luxury, but for $150 I was hoping for at least a clean room. We had to stay as it was New Year’s Eve and everything else was booked, but if you don’t have to stay, don’t! The carpet wasn’t even vacuumed, there was sticky stains running down the wall behind the side tables and the curtains were rotted through. Woke up to see the car from the room next door had had its windscreen smashed in. Beware!

Dirty rooms, tape holding shower together. Mould in soap tray in shower, cotton tape holding towel rail up, ants every where. Hole in curtain at front door to go over handle, miss match duvets etc, room had not been cleaned and when we asked to clean they said you can find another motel to go to if you don't like this and give money back. If wasnt for elderly parents staying as well we would of left for sure. Mother law could not get out of her room. Locked in. Even this was a hassle to get attended to. Absolutely no customer service did not consider anyone. Again a real disgrace to the motelliers association

Don't bother with this Motel. I booked a room two nights before, giving credit card details, saying we would be arriving after 6.00pm & they said this was fine. We turned up & they had rented our room out & had no other vacanies.
Try somewhere else! Absolutely appalled with service!

I stayed at the Golflands motel for one week. The room was quite large, a bit dated, but pretty much clean. All the crockery was clean, and you get a complimentary small carton of milk when you arrive.

A really nice feature was that somewhere between 10:00 and 1:00 each day all of the towels were replaced, toilet paper replenished, dishes were cleaned if there were any, and the bed tidied up. However, there wasn't a door hanger or anything if you wanted to indicate that you didn't want to be disturbed..

There was a small hole in the wall at the bottom, but it didn't really bother me. The small fridge was quite loud, so I kept it switched off for the duration of my stay. The wi-fi signal was also quite weak in the room, and you needed to be near the front to get any decent reception from it.

The view out to the golf course was nice.
Ultimately, for a motel experience, it was probably better than average.
