We drove in and parked in the last spot in the park and were fortunate to have a place on the beach. We were given only one bathroom key for the 6 of us and that key fits both men and women so coordination was required. The bathroom needs updating as even the taps are from the 50's and the...

This is a place to avoid if possible, the unit is advertised as a motel but it is in reality it is nothing but a self contained cabin, definitely not value for money. The camp needs alot of TLC, the best feature of the camp was the beach right next door. The frypan in the unit was broken, there were...

They lost all details of me paying after driving 9 hours to get to destination, then second day power kept turning off 5 times, the caravan had ant infestation, the young guy who was on at night was more interested in ridding a caravan of a family of mice but switched power back on eventually, we wont be back again...

First view on this site was of old and shabby caravans, not what we understand in the English speaking world as deluxe. Dirty and grim exterior caravan, and the first impression inside was shabby with seating and table that had been around for too many years, a very rusty 2 hob unit and grubby toaster, light fittings not all working,...

Because only a few vacancies we were not able to pre-book same site for our 3-day stay. But the very helpful guy at the reception managed to mingle around so we could stay on same site for all the days. In general the staff was very helpful and considerate. We felt very comfortable during our stay. The facilities are a bit...

we recently stayed in one of the mobile units for 10 days and it was great, clean, spacious and well looked after, yes they look old but do not get put off as the bedding and towels are always changed and the bed was lovely too. well appointed with a view to die for. The staff at the beach park...

This review is for the park only, since we stayed in neither the caravans, nor the cabins/motel units. Facilities are perhaps a little dated, but this park is apparently city council-owned, so I suppose that is par for the course. Otherwise, clean communal facilities (kitchen and bathrooms), and friendly staff at the front office. We stayed in the non-powered tent...

We recently stayed in a motel unit for 3 nights. Large studio unit, with roomy walk in shower bathroom, overlooking the campground, with floor to ceiling views to Rangitoto and Takapuna Beach. Has a small outside deck. Comfortable firm bed, and very quiet overnight. Very close to Takapuna shopping and restaurants, and public transport options. Inside of the units clean...

Stayed here for 2 nights in January 2017. Very close to beach and restaurants. Did a wonderful walk from Holiday Park north along a track. Lots of wonderful homes and amazing reef caused by volcano eruption many years ago. Easy bus ride to Auckland city centre. Also beautiful Davenport a short trip away where you can do many heritage walks...

Stayed here one night in my tent while the others in my family stayed in an on site caravan. This place has been under threat of closure for a number of years but I understand a new lease is about to be signed. There has obviously been very little maintenance done in the last while. The eves on the office...
