Stayed Friday 16th September for one night, booked a powered site for a campervan. We liked the location of this park right beside the beach and only a five minute walk to shops and restaurants. You can also catch a bus into Auckland CBD from here. An old park which could do with a makeover especially the amenities block, very...

Everything else was atrocious. We stayed for two nights in a (supposedly) Deluxe Caravan at a cost of $264. I think the photos on the webpage were taken 25 years ago when maybe it was Deluxe. Half of the lights were missing bulbs, the end of the sofa seat was falling off - only held on by one pin and...

Great location right on the beach front, close by to lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. Very friendly staff and clean facilities. The only slight negative was it could be done with a bit of updating/modernisation.

Stayed at the Takapuna Beach Holiday Park for 2 nights in July in a camper van. The location is perfect - right on the beach, with only a walkway separating you from the ocean. The surrounding area is perfect for eating out and shopping, and you really are spoiled for choice. The amenities block could do with a make over,...

This is a small caravan park, in a good waterfront location. The park has a lot of old permanent caravans present, the facilities are old. It is a pretty expensive stay for such old facilities. Access is tight.

Auckland central has a massive shortage of van parks. Takapuna Beach park has the location, but thats where it ends.No need to say more as I agree with all that other reviewers have reported, with regard to the sub standard amenities in a supposedly upmarket area.

Just got back from a two weeks motorhome trip of the North Island. Throughout our amazing journey, Takapuna Beach Holiday Park is the only "bad" one among all the holiday parks that we'd been. It is a shame as we feel this place has a lot of potentials - being right by the beach, located in the city and within...

Stayed here two nights recently as I was doing a class near by in Birkenhead. The location is brilliant- takapuna is very safe and lots of cafes and eateries near by. Its night on the beach, my caravan was about 2m to the beach front. And thats where the positives stop. The caravan was old and in much need of...

This is the worst camping ground we stayed at in the whole of the North Island of New Zealand , It had a massive amount of potential , the shower were really revolting loo just as bad , we could wait to leave. These owners are siting on a beautiful site over looking the beach and Rangitoto . Really close...

Great location easy walking distance to beach, restaurants, shopping. Loved the fact this camping ground is on the beach. Unfortunately the amenities are tired by today's expectations but we're clean. We stayed on a powered site so didn't really both us, so much. If you are happy not to have anything above a 2 star you'll be ok here. The...
