Perfect place to stay after spending the day in the city. The Emerald Inn is only a few steps from the beach and a short waking distance from the main street, which was great for dinging out, having a few drinks and walking back. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. As a girl who has used low wattage...

A great motel set in lovely grounds with good facilities. The Emerald Inn is very well located close to the beach and the town with a choice of good restaurants. It is also close to Devonport and North Head which are well worth visiting. It was unfortunate that on our first night the neighbours were having a noisy drinks gathering...

Motel is near the Takapuna Beach just north of Auckland city, nice area with easy access to plenty of restaurants and a beachside café. Rooms were very good, plenty of space and a good shower. Would use it again.

We have used the Emerald Inn as a great escape for the occassional week end. The motel has a stunning setting and it is within easy walking distance of good shops, restaurants and cafes and of course beautiful Takapuna Beach. The rooms we have had are well equiped and clean. There is a lot happening in the area but once inside...

A friend recommended this Motel when we needed accommodation with a few days notice. We booked the last room, and it was by no means a last room, nice and quiet, clean and modern fittings, with friendly staff. Ideally located close to the Takapuna shopping precinct, beach, cafes, bars, etc...... My only gripe, it was muggy hot, and there was...

Finding rooms at the Emerald Inn was a blessing as we had just landed in Auckland and we were NOT happy with our pre booked choice up the road. The Emerald Inn is bright, clean, neat, tidy and very well located . It is close to Takapuna beach, surely the best in Auckland and nice and quiet. We booked 2...

Nice setting, handy to central Takapuna & beach. Very clean, all what one needs in a room, could do with some Reno work in some areas! Only down side is there is 'NO' complimentary internet connection, to my amazement they request payment for a service that does not work. If you are relying on internet? Don't stay.

The one thing this motel complex has going for it, is its location! The owner must feel that this is the reason they can promote such a beautiful location but provide poor service. The owner was rude and bolshie. Any query on unexpected extra charges was met with a response that we can't show that on our bookings on the...

Stayed for one night. Just out of Auckland so very handy if travelling North or South but wanting to miss the madness of the city. Nice staff. Comfortable room and easy parking. Handy for a wander down to the beach or to the shops and restaurants.

Beautiful tropical feel, close to the beach and walking distance to town! Only let down was that our TV was fuzzy and wasn't fixed when asked, and I personally found the Internet prices quite high considering most places give you free wifi. Other than perfect location, nice rooms.
