We booked a room at the Creston Hotel and not really expecting too much, we were very pleasantly surprised. The check-in staff were very friendly and the room was nicely appointed. We had dinner in the pub and once again, the staff were helpful and friendly. The menu is quite varied with something for everyone, and our meals were delicious. Parking is convenient and the hotel's location is ideal for browsing through the business district.

My first impression upon entering the lobby from the back of the building, where next door was a cannabis shop, staff from pub hanging out in the parking lot, was 'this is not gonna be good'. HOWEVER, I was very pleasantly surprised! Beautiful wood work all over....staircase side rails, chairs in room, tables, drawers, and bathroom! The coffee maker of stainless steel pitcher. Sunblocking shade. Soap/shampoo, conditioner's are fancy and nice! Even ear plugs in case noise is a problem. We both noticed the awesome showerhead of rubber, appeared new or else just in great shape, warm water. Slept great.

The only downside is no elevator. The booking on line was easy. The staff are great. We had a king bed room. Lots of room, clean, comfortable bed, and instant hot water in the shower. The woodwork in the hotel is amazing (try lifting the chairs in the room). The stairs and hallway are wide and carpeted. Access to the hotel is from the parking lot at rear of hotel - not a problem because that is where you park your vehicle for free. Jimmy's Pub and Grill was under our room. Music stops at 11 pm and the hotel provides you with ear plugs. We were warned of our room location. The food and staff are very good at Jimmy's. The cost of the room is very reasonable. We will stay here again. We have also told our family and friends about the Creston Hotel. Thank you.

Do not judge this property by the back-door lobby. The rooms are of generous size, very clean, and recently upgraded. The hand-made wood furnishings in the room and the sculpted wood handrail in the stairwell give this refurbished building a boutique hotel feel. The price was also very reasonable for such comfortable accommodation.

The hotel location is in the middle of downtown, making it convenient to walk everywhere. The location is also situated for easy access to get placed for a variety of activities. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. There is a pub stashed with great food, just make sure to use the ear plugs they provide because the music goes until 12 or 12:30. Hiweber, I would stay here again.

Had one bedroom suite across from hotel. Large, bright, spotless, big kitchen, full size fridge, remarkably quiet being a block up from highway. Lots of amenities, towels etc, good solid bed although viewless bedroom but you’re there to sleep. Fast easy check in and great rate for the space you get. Two picnic tables outside the rooms, all very funky but safe. Evening walk up the hill for lovely old homes great views and a nice feel about the Creston valley. Travellers on either side of us were just as happy as we were with a great overnight find.

We stopped in Creston after a long drive and quickly looked up hotels online. We wanted to support a local business, not a corporate hotel, so arrived at the Creston Hotel, in the middle of town, about 9pm. The lobby appeared "closed" but there was a phone for after hours, so I picked it up. The hostess said she would be with us in a few minutes so we grabbed our bags and she was magically there. She was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and coffee station. The location in the centre of town was perfect, as we had restaurants and shops all around us. Parking was free, wifi was good. Great unexpected surprise.

We arrived very late at night, check in was easy, even thought the reception was closed. An attendant came very quickly when we rang the night bell. The suite was large, clean and comfortable. Great place to crash for the night!

The room was very comfortable and clean. Water pressure in shower was incredible. Service at front desk was friendly and efficient. It is an old building but the inside was nice. Wall mounted a/c was able to run all night to keep room cool as it was not loud at all. Coffee and muffins provided in AM were good. Only complaint I could possibly make is toilets are too short. We never heard anything at all but our room was right above the bar downstairs which possibly could be an issue on a Friday Or Saturday night.

Great service! The girl at the front desk was friendly and more than helpful. Although outdated, our room (suite) was spacious and clean. Take out food from Jimmy’s was great. The kitchen does come with cutting board, pans, glasses, etc.. we didn’t hear any noises from outside
