In room #7 I liked that the kitchen has a door to close off away from the bedroom. I'm a morning person and my partner is a night owl so this set-up is perfect for us.
Our room smelled very fresh upon entry. The staff was very friendly and speaks English. Outdoor space is also a must for us. Out back of the room there is a dedicated space that is a cozy area with a picnic table & two extra chairs. If your impressed by room service and a large hotel lobby this isn't for you. But if like to drive up to your room door and take two steps to be inside, book now!

My family and I stayed at Studiotel Bromont in July 2011 and we fell in love with it. The room was newly renovated: brand new fixtures and furniture, large comfy beds, flat screen tv with dvd player for the kids, and best of all, hardwood floors! It looked exactly like it does on the website. The room had a separate kitchen area complete with standard appliances, dishes for four, and a dining room table. The bathroom had plenty of towels and was spotless. There’s a large courtyard out behind the motel, with a playground for the kids. Each room has its own picnic table outside. We got the Granby Zoo package deal for a great rate and we recommend it to anyone with kids. The motel's only about 10 minutes away from the zoo. The manager even gave us an alternate route that was much faster than taking the highway. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Stayed at Studiotel while taking my son to Granby Zoo/Waterpark for his birthday. This was a little further away than I might normally have stayed but the impressive rating of this property sold me. By and large I came away as impressed as (virtually) everyone else. We took advantage of their package deal with zoo/waterpark tickets and I found it to be more than a fair value. Our room was very clean and neatly decorated, with a fully functional kitchen that allowed us to bake my son's cake after he went to bed the first night. The owner and staff (can you call the one other person we saw in three days the 'staff'?) were wonderfully polite and helpful. The owner even went out and got my son balloons from 'her dog' who my son had met that morning. There's a nice little play area for kids at the end of the property and a small picnic table out the back door.

The only negatives I can offer...the bedroom area is a tad cramped (while the rest of the studio is spacious) and is on the front wall of what I suspect is a fairly busy road in winter and the blind on the back of the unit was blocked by the exhaust of the mobile ac unit which left a 6 inch or so gap where others staying at the hotel could look in if they wished (easily remedied by hanging two smaller blinds as opposed to one large one). These negatives, however, are definitely outweighed by the positives.

No problem recommending this one.

Tried to book for a long weekend. Called 4PM Wed for a Friday and Saturday booking. Employee said she wasn't allowed to take a reservation. She said she will take the note about the dates, and the owner will call back to confirm the booking. She confirmed there were 3 rooms available. I told her I want to book right away and again, she was not permitted to take the reservation. There is also no online reservation system. On their website says it is preferable to contact them by phone. And also, they do not confirm reservation or cancellation via internet with exception of overseas customers.

Next day, the owner did call at 12:20PM. I missed the call by minutes. I called right back, no answer, I left a message. Then I called a 2nd time left another message to reiterate that we will be taking the room... 2:50PM I get a call... this is the day before we are supposed to arrive... The owner says nonchalantly, sorry nothing is available. She said she tried to call and then got three other calls for the rooms, so ...sorry... too bad.

The night before I was prepared to book with credit card, it was the establishment that would not accept. The owner says, her employees are too "new" she can't trust them to take reservations.

So, the night before our trip, I planned everything around the availability of this place, we are told, no, and it is "not our problem". The woman I spoke to accused me of screaming at her, although she was certainly doing her fair share. This place is unprofessional. Looks nice, I am sure it is. I'm certain the other reviews are accurate. Unfortunately, the business ethic of how to reserve a room needs a lot of attention.

I can't recommend this place because I haven't had the opportunity to stay there. I can recommend to not have any faith if you've made a reservation. I was poorly treated on the phone. The woman was defensive and unwilling to even attempt to resolve the issue at hand.

Now I am scrambling to try and find another place on a holiday long weekend, all thanks to this place. Poorly done.

Dear Darrenk9 Let us say, once more, how sorry we are that you were unable to secure a reservation in our establishment for the Canada Day long weekend. We take your disappointment very seriously and thrive to avoid unsatisfied guests/potential guests. That is why we have been awarded Trip Advisor's 2013 prestigious Traveller's Choice Award, that’s why we have received Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence in both 2012 and 2013. We care! We have already talked with you on the phone on more than one occasion and have explained the following to you several times: We are a very small family owned and operated lodging business. Yes, when you call here you sometimes encounter an answering machine. Like all small lodging business owners, we are also, gardeners, chambermaids, accountants, public relation officers, marketing directors and lots more. And we actually take the time to chat with our guests in the morning, just to make sure that they are enjoying their stay with us. Guilty as charged, we sometimes let the phone ring because we are HUMAN and cannot possibly do more than a few things at the same time. We are not opened 24 hours a day either- we go home and take care of our children at night. And while we are away, we have AMAZING staff that take care of our guests and potential guests as best they can. Right now, we have two new night receptionists on staff. These new receptionists have been with us less than a week, so in order to avoid potential mistakes with reservations, they have been asked, for the time being, to take messages and not reservations. We promptly return ALL phone calls when we arrive in the morning and book reservations as we return calls. Receptionists are NOT to discuss availability to avoid the kind of situation that has apparently happened to you. NEITHER are they to tell potential guests that they have priority on bookings because they called first. We did get the message to call you back because you wanted information about a possible reservation on the weekend. We called back and left you a message. You were unavailable. By the time you called back, the two available studios were booked. You were very upset, we apologized. You got verbally abusive, started yelling. You INSISTED WE CANCEL SOMEONE ELSE’S STAY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU. We refused. You screamed some more, and kept on screaming. We hung up. You called back. We discussed this some more, apologized once again because we are truly sorry that this misunderstanding happened. You started yelling again and once more insisted that we cancel someone’s stay to accommodate you. We once again refused and told you that you would be the first person to be called if anyone cancelled their stay. We did not get a cancellation for that weekend, we did not call.

The room was overall ok. However the customer service was terrible from the first time that we contacted the hotel by phone (there is actually no receptionnist) to the time that we checked out. The bill was wrong and after trying to contact the hotel several times there was no come back after I left both my e-mail adress and cell phone number. Very disappointing.

Dear Mr. Big K Roadster I am sorry that you are displeased with your stay with us and I welcome the opportunity to set the record straight one more time, as this has already been explained to you over the phone. You are right, although we are opened daily from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, there is not someone on site 24 hours a day. This is a small family owned and operated business and all our guests are informed about our opening hours from the moment they make a reservation. Our guests are also provided with an after-hours phone number in case they need to contact us when the reception is closed. We can be reached AT ALL TIMES if guests need something. I believe you are not being truthful about the invoicing “mistake” you refer to. You initially booked a 4 night stay with us, paid for your stay upon checking in and decided to leave on your last day, without giving notice. Like all lodging establishments, we have a cancellation policy and notice is required for a refund. Mr. Big K Roadster you did not give us notice, therefore, you were not refunded for your last night. We have explained this over the phone to you when you called the first time, and have e-mailed you your invoice TWICE, as per your subsequent requests over the phone. As always, we strive to make our guest as comfortable and as happy as we possibly can during their stay with us but we obviously could not please you and we are quite sorry about that.

I chose to stay here based on the great reviews and I was even more impressed than I thought I would be. The place is immaculate, everything is newly renovated and there is such obvious attention to every little detail (lovely duvet, bedding, kitchen, etc). After staying at 4 and 5 star hotels for twice the price before coming here, I was shocked. I wish I had planned on staying here longer. Would highly reccomend to anyone regardless of the type of traveller (family, business, solo, etc.). Will definetely be back.
The only thing it didn't have was a phone in the room. Although it had everything else.

Studiotel Bromont is a nice motel (no hot tub or pool) where you get a full eat-in kitchen plus a separate bedroom and full bath and good, free wi-fi for a very reasonable rate (even less if you have a season pass to the Bromont ski area, which is three minutes away). It is not a luxury property, but it was great for our ski week. The owner is very accommodating and helpful. We plan to stay there again next ski season.

From the outside, this property looks like a regular motel, but it is anything but: it has large rooms with full kitchens and higher end finishes. We ended up making our own dinners 4 nights in a row; all the usual kitchen tools were available, including a grater! Only the lack of a dishwasher is an inconvenience (and housekeeping does not do the dishes). There is a large grocery store and a liquor store less than a kilometre away.

The beds and bedding were very comfortable, and the electric heating was efficient in the very cold weather we had. My only criticism is the weak wi-fi signal; we had a few disconnects, but when it was working it was fast. This is a problem that the hotel can solve easily.

The property is very convenient for skiers obviously, but I should add that our destination was actually Granby, the nearby larger city which is lacking in good hotel facilities. Considering how much we liked Studiotel, the distance was entirely worth it, and I will no doubt return the next time I visit Granby or Bromont.

We had the pleasure of going back to Studiotel Bromont over New Years 2012. I stayed with family again for 2 nights. WOW, it is the best value of any Motel we have ever stayed at. We loved the room and the location. Very clean, comfortable and affordable. We look forward to going back to Studiotel Bromont before winter ends!

Our family (2 adults and 1 baby) just spent a week at Studiotel after booking the room on the internet almost randomly. When we got there and drove into the parking to realize the place had a "Motel" look, we weren't sure of our choice. This lasted exactly 30 seconds. After being greeted by a man who gave us the impression he woke up that day to make sure our room would be ready for us and walked into our "Studio", all scepticism was gone. We had found the perfect "Base camp" for our family vacation. We went to the Zoo, did some cycling and hiking, all within 30 minutes of the place. Every night we had dinner at one of the local family restaurants (5 minutes away), but we could have decided to stay in and cook, all the appliances were there.

This old Motel has lost all the caracteristics I hate of a Motel and morphed itself into a nice place with everything you can expect for an enjoyable family vacation... they even have a playground for kids.

The owners are great people, very personable. oh... Ask them about the local Pie place.

Dear Dominic Thank you for taking the time to write a review about Studiotel Bromont, we really appreciate receiving feedback on your experience here. We are extremely happy that you enjoyed our facilities and all that our surroundings have to offer! As you have seen, we have put in a lot of effort into moving away from the old stereotypical look and feel of a traditional Motel. Although the architecture of the building will always remain tied to that of a Motel, we like to believe that we offer a unique and innovative lodging experience, a hybrid between the traditional hotel and the comforts of your home. We're also glad you enjoyed all your pies from Les Désirables, we strongly believe that they are the best around! Next time, we'll be happy to share more of Bromont's hidden gems with you! Thanks again for writing a review, and most of all, thank you so much for trusting us with your vacation! We look forward to seeing your family again! Geneviève & Michel
