The lows:
Key cards didn't work great. Showerhead was held up by a zip tie (that didn't really work great). Not really family friendly, with alcohol/paid snacks out in the open in the room. No included breakfast.

The highs:
Nice pool/sauna and decent exercise room, although you have to ask the front desk to let you in. Your key card won't allow access.

The good: The bed was cozy, the room temperature was good, the room was fairly clean - not up to my standards but I'll give it a pass.
The bad: The pool was cloudy and green. The staff could be more friendly and welcoming. Check in took a long time.
There was a broken faucet in one of our rooms. It worked but it was extremely loose.

My company has a good corporate rate at this hotel, which is why I came back.
1. Check in staff was wonderful! Friendly and overall fantastic.
2. Room small and sort of claustrophobic with the concrete ceiling. Good selection of “optional purchases” available in the room - see photo.
3. Restaurant on site: I had a fabulous meal with salad, mushroom risotto and a brownie. Nice atmosphere but unfortunately the restaurant/bar closes at 9 and there really isn’t anything nearby.
4. Cleanliness in the washroom is not good. Looked like the washroom had not been cleaned since the previously guest. Hairs on count, sink, floor, shower. Toilet had toilet paper in it. Basically gross!!!!! See a few photos attached that really can’t even show all of it! The rest of the room was fine.

Will I be back - I hope not. I would rather pay the extra $40 a night and have CLEAN!

I had booked & received confirmation for 2 rooms, plus a reminder saying they were looking forward to our arrival. Day of arrival I phoned them at 730pm to tell them when we would be arriving and was immediately told I had no rooms there with No explanation!! He didn't even check the computer. I told him that was impossible, I had confirmation emails. He was rude and disrespectful. We were 100's of miles away from home with no place to stay. It took us 6 hours to find a hotel with one room. I sent an email to the manager of the hotel with my complaint but have not heard anything back from them. Don't take a chance booking with them.

We recently stayed at this hotel and will never go again. We were there for a sporting event and this hotel was listed on the event’s accommodation list. But it was clear to see that they should not accommodate teams. From checkin to check out- worst customer service. Even staff members at the hotel restaurant were rude. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Arrived at this property after a 9 hour drive. Walked into the front door with my service dog and was immediately told by ‘Vince’ at the front desk that they didn’t accept pets. I politely explained that the dog was my service animal. He was wearing a service dog vest and I offered my doctors note that gives me permission to use my dog as a service dog (I am from Ontario). Vince told me that only Guide Dogs were allowed. He looked at my doctor’s note and said I needed a certification and I wasn’t allowed to stay at the property. I explained that service dogs and guide dogs are both protected under Human Rights, and we were allowed anywhere public was allowed. He also explained that almost all the hotels in the area were booked already. ‘Vince’ refused to provide me his last name and said he knew what the policy was. I have PTSD, and was highly upset, however I was polite. I had to drive 2.5 hours to Brockville (the nearest Hilton property with a vacant spot) because I KNEW they would allow us without issue. I don’t know if Quebec is different from Ontario, however he absolutely did not try to help me in anyway possible, even after I explained I had PTSD. I would absolutely not recommend a hotel that had so little compassion for someone in my situation. I can’t comment of cleanliness or rooms. Never got that far😢

My family and I are currently staying at this hotel with a sport Team. The staff has provided nothing but bad customer service since the beginning of our stay.

They are rude and the not professionnel in the way they talk to their guests. Customer service is by far the worst that I have ever seen. We will
Never stay here again!!

My friend and I stayed here for the F1 weekend and had a terrible experience. To start, the hotel does not provide concierge towel service or a safety deposit box (this detail is important for later). When calling to request fresh towels, I was told to pick up my towels at the front desk. The hotel also does not provide bath robes or slippers (maybe it's because it is a 3 star hotel?). The cleanliness of the carpeting in our room was questionable and we never received cleaning services on any of the days we stayed.

Next, on our second day of our stay, the key scanner on our door stopped working. The scanner was low on battery and required a device to charge the scanner in order for the door to unlock. Every time we needed to access our rooms, we had to request the concierge to escort us and manually charge the scanner and use a master key to unlock our door. Not only was this inefficient for staff, but this was also an extreme waste of our time as guests at Imperia. At no point did concierge escalate this to management to attempt to resolve the technical issue or compensate for this inconvenience. Because the hotel was fully booked, the only resolution that was offered was to room hop for each night of our stay, which would be even more inconvenient. So we decided to stay in our rooms.

Finally, and the most egregious issue of all was that our belongings had been stolen from our room. Money and a luxury bag that had not left the room from the beginning of our stay went missing. I am hesitant to point fingers at the hotel staff, however given the security issues we experienced with our malfunctioning door and the concierge staff having access to a master key, I cannot rule out the idea that it was the hotel staff that may have unlawfully accessed and taken our belongings. When we approached the concierge about this issue, they were not able to provide us with any security footage or a date/time log of how many times our room was accessed. We ended up filing a police report and the hotel has since wiped their hands clean on this issue. To this day, management has been dodging our calls and have not followed up with us. The same moment we brought this issue up to concierge, another guest lined up behind us was raising his concerns about his headphones that went missing from his room. Given that the weekend of our stay was a hectic and full house for the hotel, I am unsure as to whether this is an inside job or an opportunistic individual knowing that many guests were not going to be in their rooms for most of the day. This experience has made me feel extremely unsafe, paranoid and violated.I will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend anyone stay at Imperia or any of their other sister establishments.

Sub par room. Not vacuumed, debris left in one drawer. Pull out sofa folded up with previous guests linens.

Luke warm shower water early morning. Other times hot water needed to be run 5 to 10 minutes to get warm.

Shower awkward with no shelf or tray for belongings.

Dead bolt lock required a special flawless method in order for it to lock. I overheard another guess talking about the same issue.

Restaurant closed Sunday evening.

Very comfortable bed and linens.

Spend your dollars elsewhere.

Ps to owner...

I will be informing the travel agency that represents my company to not send any of our employees here.

Alot of hotel hospitality basics were missed here.
