Detailed Reviews
We were in the area looking for a place to buy, wifi was good and cell tower strength was fine so was able to do online research. The last campsite we were not as lucky (Seafoam Campground). The office staff were pleasant to deal with. Amenities are nearby so we stayed a few days. Will be back. C2 and C3 were fine for us.. Winnebago pulling a small tow car.

We stayed at Loch Lomond as it was close to our family members who live in Amherst on our way touring the east coast. The campground seemed nice enough, we stayed in "E" section which is just a short walk to the office and gate. We were just staying for one night so the park was fine for us, just a place to camp for the evening. My Uncle was picking us up for dinner so we did not have to unhitch our trailer and he was to call to let me know he was at the gate but forgot his phone. The lady in the office made him pay $3.00 so he could walk to the site to let us know he was at the park. He could see our trailer from the office but the office lady would not let him through until he paid, those are rules she said. I really had to laugh at how absurd the situation was, I could hardly believe she made an 80 year old man pay when she could have called me as she had my phone number, actually she could have yelled, I would have heard her as we were that close, lol....Anyway, at least you know they follow the rules that make them money! Anyway, the park was fine and so was the internet and yes the washroom facilities were fantastic....

We loved this site. Well maintained. They have invested money here. Easy highway access and close to the town of Amherst for amenities. They have a pizza night and 50/50 draws. I did not give a 5 star because the site could be a little bigger. But I would definitely stay here again.

The campground and campsite we were assigned were beautiful.
However, when we attempted to hook up our sewer hose to the sewer drain, crap from the previous camper came out!!! The problem is that the drain is not directly into the ground but is on the side so the waste doesn’t go down properly. Last time I checked water runs downhill!!
After visiting the office and speaking to Curtis and a woman who’s name I didn’t get, she said to make sure the hose wasn’t pushed in too far. Well the hose wouldn’t even go in the hole! Curtis said someone as coming on shift at 8:00 and he would send him down to have a look. Said person came down and had a look, offered no solution and said, “Well Kenny was here for two weeks and it worked fine for him!” We didn’t know who Kenny was nor did we care! Crappy (excuse the pun) service Buddy!
I asked Curtis if we could move to a different site and he said yes. At this point it was almost 9:00 and we were all set up and levelled, so we decided to wait until the morning. We moved to site C3 and got hooked up with no problem. The guy at the office, when I called to say we’re moving, said he would send someone down to have a look at it. That was 2 hours ago and I still haven’t seen anyone. Again, crappy service!
So word of warning - don’t stay at C5 no matter how good the view is!

Poor customer service would be an understatement. The front desk staff/owners were very rude, didn’t want to give you the time of day for a conversation even when they were in the wrong for going against their own rules/protocols.
The camp sites were small but nice area with the lake view. Mostly seasonal campers, which in my opinion weren’t all that friendly and were very territorial. You can tell they weren’t fans of newcomers or weekenders.
Would not recommend spending a $1 of your money here.

We were lucky enough to get a site for a few days. We had booked into KOA in Halifax West for 2 weeks but we were very dissspointed, so we left. Loch Lomond is a Great park, clean, well run and the private showers are immaculate. Everyone was so helpful. Nice and quiet. We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay and central to Bay of Funday with a bit of driving. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Close to stores and places to eat too. The grounds are nice grassy spots with a pad on some for picnic tables and to put lawn chairs. Great spot

I'll make this quick. the grounds are nice but the lots are small so you're enjoying your bonfire while looking into your neighbours RV because they're sandwhiched together. we had relatives staying from outwest that we would visit on a daily basis (since they came down with the sole purpose of visiting us) we would have to pay $3 plus tax per person per day to visit our family. times that by 3-5 people per dau for 10 days and you're looking at quite a bit of money. plus once you pay to get in to visit they make you pay again to enjoy the amenities, so you may as well buy a campsite for the night. not to mention the staff is very rude. the washroom in the main building smelled like horse poop the one time I was in it. personally I'd invest in renting a cottage for a weekend or week and have the freedom to invite guests. this campground is a money pit. I won't be back.

CAMPERS BEWARE! This campground will make up rules that are NOT posted on their website or rules list to try and get more money from you!! We had a pop up and two vehicles on our lot, I made it very clear and they had no issues. We were asked to provide both vehicle info (plate, make and model) and equipment so I wrote pop up. We paid for two extra adults as well. When two people decided to sleep in their vehicle with the dog, an older man working here came up to us in the morning and very rudely asked us to pay for a tent site. When I went up to the office to ask what the issue was the older lady working the desk was immediately hostile and ready to argue with me when all I wanted was to get a clear reason why there was an issue with my friends sleeping in their vehicle. The lady proceeded to call my friend a liar because we never said we were sleeping in our vehicle but it was a last minute decision to keep the dog company (dog has their own area in the car cause they like space). I asked to see where the rule was written and she told me it doesnt have to be written, she makes her own rules. She then offered for us to pay for a tent site and charge us for all the nights we planned on staying there, including the night that already passed, or park our car at the main entrance every night even though we needed it for the dog’s sleeping area or we could leave with no where else to go. She did not try to compromise or explain her rule change, she just wanted more money even though they are way above the average price point for a campsite, almost double what provincial parks are (which are much nicer). She was extremely rude the entire time trying to escalate the situation while I had to be the one to de-escalate and try to have a civil conversation. Hard to stay calm when she had a horrible smirk on her face like she knew she would get more money. Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I would leave ZERO stars if I could!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

+1
Very clean very friendly Staff, Great player for the kids felt very safe nice fires very relaxing, spacious spacious pretty and just all in all a wonderful area. Only thing I did not like about it is that visitors had to leave Before 10:30 PM which I could understand bunderstand but when they were having a special seasonal event we were not told so we missed spending an entire day with our family which was the whole reason we chose to stay there.
